CHAPTER 40 — THE BEACH PARTY
The students couldn't imagine that there really was a beach in a dungeon, as teenagers of seventeen and eighteen could be seen all spread around in shorts, beach clothes, and the likes. There was also a bar available where fruit drinks were served in abundance, and a spot for fried meat was also in attendance, plus the music to match such a glorious night. The students of Quinn College were also invited to the beach party, and a lot of them showed up to join the fun.Claire was enjoying the attention she was getting from the boys of Quinn College and some boys in her class who hadn't seen her dressed like that, as they were all used to seeing each other in uniforms. However, she only got their attention as soon as the Seraphine in their midst wasn't there at all.Lirielle, who was basically a gym lover, had natural beauty and added a little makeup to her already beautiful face, drew attention without even trying. Lirielle was the girl with the looks, the curves and literally everybody
CHAPTER 41 — UNDER THE STARS
Lirielle waited calmly as the elevator moved to the higher floor of the hotel where Adrian's room was.She was just coming from the Med Bay, and Adrian wasn't there, meaning he was in his room. She was already slightly angry that he didn't show up despite the fact that she took her time to dress up and even apply makeup to her already beautiful face.“If he doesn't compliment me about my beauty, then I would punch him in his face,” she thought to herself as the elevator door finally opened. She walked straight to his room and wasted no time knocking. She had to knock a second time before the door was finally opened. She froze in shock as the sight that greeted her was a huge Knight standing in front of her.It had to bend down for its head to barely fit through the doorway and come out into the hallway, making her back up.Tank stood back up straight before bowing slightly and directing her inside.“Thank you,” Lirielle whispered as she entered, and he followed. She walked into the ro
CHAPTER 42 — THE COUNCIL'S DEMAND
“I'll see you all next term. Have a nice holiday,” Mr. Frank said, already walking out of the class as all the students began cheering and shouting, and some were already packing their bags, ready to head home after enduring the stress of the field trip.“Thank you for everything you did for me, Adrian. I really appreciate you,” Ruby said, bowing to Adrian, but he quickly stopped her because half of the class were looking in their direction.“I've told you a million times to stop thanking me already. We're good, and I don't hold any grudge against you for any reason. I'm doing everything I'm doing because we're classmates, and you're one of my surviving childhood friends,” Adrian said, patting her shoulder as Ruby nodded her head.Adrian could already see her trying her best to hold back the tears in her eyes from falling.“Will the money you have be enough for you?” Adrian whispered into her ears.“Yes, it will be more than enough,” she whispered back.“Alright then. If you need anyt
CHAPTER 43 — THE BOY FROM HER DREAMS
“You want an S-Rank Dungeon Core in exchange for the location of the Mimicry Spirits? Am I right, Mr. Adrian?” the lady asked as calmly as ever, and Adrian nodded his head. The man sitting beside her suddenly flipped the table, throwing it into another corner of the room as his hands transformed into stone.“If you think this is a joke, then you might be mistaken. I'll gladly show you how serious we are,” the man said as he took a step forward, but the Director stepped in front of him and blocked him.“He's just a student. My student, and you have no right to lay a finger on him,” the Director said, looking him in the eyes.“A student requesting an S-Rank Dungeon Core should not be viewed as a student. He is a scammer who needs to be punished,” the man said, anger obviously showing on his face.“Give us a minute so we can call our officials,” the lady said as she stood up and walked out of the room, and the man followed behind.Adrian retrieved Nyx once again before sighing in relief
CHAPTER 44 — A FRIEND IN NEED IS A FRIEND INDEED
“When you eat, you eat with a spoon. This is a spoon,” Adrian said, handing Mina an iron spoon and demonstrating how to eat with a spoon. She watched Adrian through his process of eating and then looked back at the spoon in her right hand. She did as he instructed and took a scoop of rice and placed it into her mouth.“You see, that's much better,” Adrian said with a smile, happy that she was finally learning. But the next second, she dropped the spoon and raised her hand in the air, ready to bring it down on the rice, but stopped mid-air as she saw Adrian's displeased expression before lowering her hand and using the spoon. He could tell that she was not comfortable with it, but she had to learn how to act well in public. So far, so good. She was eating quite well. Sometimes the rice on her spoon would fall on her clothes, and she would look at Adrian with the eyes of “I'm better with my hands,” but Adrian never really allowed her.He was laughing inwardly at the fact that she was st
CHAPTER 45 — THE S-Rank Dungeon
Adrian rolled out of the portal as his feet touched the wet ground. He raised his head to see Kellan's Mantis already in action, fighting against several creatures.“What in the world are these?” Adrian asked no one in particular as he saw these strange human-and-horse hybrid monsters. These were centaurs.A centaur stood roughly seven feet tall, its upper body shaped like a heavily built human while its lower body belonged to a powerful horse.Their humanoid torsos were covered in different colors and lengths of hair, from short dark hair to long blonde hair stretching from their broad shoulders down across their muscular arms.A thick mane ran from the back of its head and down its neck, blending into the mane of its horse body. Its face was mostly human, but its features were rough and beast-like, with sharp teeth, a wide jaw, and glowing amber eyes. Two curved horns protruded from either side of its forehead, and its lower body was that of a massive warhorse, supported by four thi
CHAPTER 46 — THE THIRD KNIGHT
Adrian, Kellan, Mina, and Gabe walked into a building. There was a staircase to the right and another staircase to the left, both leading up to a platform in the middle where people sat, staring at the newcomers who had just arrived.“You always go and return with bad news, Gabe. Why is that?” The man leaning on the railing said as he looked at them walk in.“You really expect me to abandon three kids in a dungeon like this? Don't be heartless, Scar,” Gabe fired back.Scar looked like the leader because he was bigger and more muscular than anyone present, and he was also the one with the loudest voice.“We already have more than enough on our hands already. The food won't even be enough to last us, and we don't know when we would leave this dungeon, not to talk of protection,” Scar shouted at Gabe.“You don't need to worry about protection. We can handle ourselves,” Kellan said, pointing to himself, Adrian, and Mina as everyone in the room turned to look at them.Kellan didn't have th
CHAPTER 47 — THE HUMANOID SUMMONER
“They may both be B-Ranks and may be powerful, but that won't be enough to stop the army of the Centaurs, their mini-bosses, and the main boss. Not to mention the Sons and Daughters of Eve that are hunting us currently,” one of the summoners said.“Imagine he's just arriving, and he's already asking for the location of the boss. Such an arrogant bastard. I bet he's the type that stays at home enjoying his family's money,” a lady among them said.“I don't think that's correct, though. Unlike other young summoners who use Beautification Summons to increase their beauty, those guys didn't use anything like that,” another lady seated in their midst said to the people surrounding her.“The other guy who spoke first is handsome normally, without beautification, while the other guy who came with the kid is handsome in a rough way. His physical build shows that he didn't come from wealth or anything.”“You might be mistaken, but I'm going to go check out how strong they are, starting with the
CHAPTER 48 — THE DEMON VALKYRIE
In the huge hall, Scar sat down at the head with everyone surrounding him.Everyone was present, including the members of the Guilds, Adrian, Kellan, his mom, and Mina. They were all gathered to discuss killing the Dungeon Boss and leaving the dungeon.“The boss is in the city hundreds of miles away from here, and by a rough count, his main forces are around Five hundred. And three hundred are the Armored Centaurs, The Dungeon Boss personal army. Scar said, looking at everyone's face before stopping at Adrian.Even he had to admit that Adrian was strong, especially after what he achieved by killing those Centaurs so easily. Having that much strength at such a young age was enviable.“The ones we have been fighting so far, including those ones the kid killed, are just his low-ranking men, and we've killed a lot of them, so their remaining numbers should not be a problem,” Scar kept on explaining.“But our main problem is the Mini-Bosses who stand in our path to the Dungeon Boss. The fi
CHAPTER 49 — THE BATTLE FOR SURVIVAL
“My summon is telling me you have more than one summoning. Is that true?” she asked as her eyes were still locked on Adrian. He nodded his head. “How many do you have?” she asked again, holding up two fingers. Her sword suddenly appeared very near to Adrian’s neck. The blade wasn’t touching his skin, but Adrian felt a little blood leak from his neck. “If there’s one thing I hate, it’s liars, and I can promise you the same treatment I gave your Knight if you lie to me again,” she told him, and Adrian changed his fingers to the number three. “Wow, a Tri-Summoner. I didn’t expect to meet such a rare specimen in a dungeon like this,” she said, retreating the blade. “Well, that saves my time and energy. I am giving you a mission now, and your mission is to kill the dungeon boss. I don’t know how you plan to do it, but I’m sure you can pull it off.” “Who are you?” Adrian said as he stared at her. “You don’t need to know my name now, Adrian, but there is a probability we’ll meet agai
