The Fire that Burned the World

Or so we thought. Life persists, and clawed its way back. The next empire was wicked. Castles were made of brimstone, animals and humans were punished and tortured. Lava ran across the land, and fire burned all across the black prairie that ran across the world. But this empire, too, was nothing compared to the World Fire. It burned away the fire itself, and the lava, and the brimstone, and the people, and their torturers, until nothing remained.

But life, once again, persisted. It always does. It always claws back, fighting tooth and nail for its continued existence. Humanity
