Chapter 13

Twenty years ago, at an orphanage, two siblings had to go through a heartbreaking separation.

Ace cried, embracing Rico tightly. "Big brother, who will I be with here?" His voice trembled; he couldn't be alone without Rico, even though there were still other friends at the orphanage.

Rico tried to be strong, wanting to cry but not wanting to show his sadness in front of his younger brother, Ace. Rico's hands tightly hugged Ace. "I'll always come back for you. Big brother promises not to leave you alone here, okay?" Rico's hands wiped Ace's teary eyes.

"Rico, let's go home," a woman carrying an elegant handbag pulled Rico's hand, taking him away from Ace.

Rico didn't know the reason he was chosen for adoption without Ace's participation.

"We're only adopting one child. I just want to get pregnant after taking care of you," Rico's new mother said.

Rico looked back, gazing at Ace who cried and called his name continuously.
