The Necklace

-Ringing-

The steady ringing of the telephone woke Quincy up from his morning sleep. He looked at the end of his small room and discovered that it was not yet four-o’clock, groaning he reached over to receive it.

He couldn’t check who the caller was, he just simply went ahead and said, ‘’hello, who am I speaking with?’’

‘’it’s Lord Walter, Quincy I told Khloe to get the landed property from Kubus and not to trade it for Deborah’s. What exactly happened? You need to be in the family house before nine o’ clock this morning, both you and Khloe, do you understand?’’

Just by the tone, Quincy sat up straight in his bed. A bit confused on how impossible it is to please the Walter family. ‘’We will be there nine this morning!’’ he hung up

He looked at Khloe, the phone conversation nor the ringing didn’t wake her up, she must be really tired, he said to himself. Sitting on his bed, he wondered how to make Khloe’s birthday a memorable one, should he take her out this morning to a fancy restaurant before heading to the Walter’s since it is almost certain from the tune of Lord Walter that another chaos is cooking.

He dialed Scot, ‘’order a diamond necklace from TEE jewelry. Go for their latest design.’’

‘’Alright Boss.’’

Tee jewelry is the most expensive jewelry shop in the whole of Malafania Republic. Their jewelries ranges from two hundred thousand dollars up. Most times people order custom made jewelries, but Quincy couldn’t go for custom made today for some personal reasons and also time. Khloe’s birthday is today and the present must be presented today.

Turning around Khloe was already up from sleep. She hurried to Ashly’s home, she didn’t get to spend much time with her yesterday. She properly covered her, kissed her on the cheek then left.

‘’Happy birthday, my love,’’ Quincy said from behind as she closed the door behind her. Khloe smiled caressing him on the head, he placed his lips on her lips and kissed her passionately.

Her eyes were closed as he kissed her. ‘’you won’t suffer again, that’s the promise I am making to you now,’’ he carried her to the bed. Quincy laid her down on one side, while he laid on one side as well, starring into each other’s eyes, ‘’what exactly happened,’’ Khloe asked. ‘’don’t miss anything tell me everything.’’

‘’Grandfather called earlier, demanding that we all should come to the Walter’s family house, there is an important issue to discuss. We got the property, but Deborah’s penthouse was seized. So he, grandfather thinks it was plotted by us.’’ Khloe sighed angrily, ‘’that’s very cruel of him to think like that, we didn’t plot anything.’’

‘’That’s why we have to go over and defend ourselves, after that we head out for the birthday celebration.’’ Quincy gave his reply.

Few hours later, Quincy is different from before. He put on a handsome suit, and the black suit made him look very imposing, his cold and thin face, coupled with his combed hair, looked very handsome, as if he had changed into a different person. Even Khloe was stunned for a moment.

Quincy walked into the sitting room with big step and there is Kimberly, ‘’you useless piece of thrash, how dare you show your face after the embarrassment of yesterday, Kim gritted her teeth, because of you Grandfather is so angry with our family, how long are you going to drag us down.? Hector added, ‘’if you really love Khloe leave her.’’

Quincy didn’t say anything he went to Khloe’s side, bent down and whispered, ‘’let’s go, or we will be late, just go and get dressed.’’

A few minutes later.

Khloe put on a long white dress, her hair casually flowing over her shoulder, looking both beautiful and noble, even though not an expensive clothe.

Even Quincy was stunned for a moment.

‘’I…..can, can I wear this?’’ Quincy nervously pinched the hem of her dress. ‘’Yes, It’s perfect!’’ Quincy nodded vigorously, ‘’Today, you are the star of the day! Radiant and dazzling!’’

Ashley got dressed up by Khloe too.

As Khloe looked at the Rolls-Royce in front of her, her eyes lit up. Quincy made the arrangement earlier through Scot He doesn’t yet want to disclose his identity to Khloe but he can’t let her keep suffering when he can afford it.

‘’Wow, a Rolls-Royce’’ Khloe exclaimed, ‘’I’ve never ridden in such a nice car before!’’

‘’Where did you get this car from?’’ Khloe frowned.

Quincy laughed, ‘’you will find out soon enough. Get in the car.’’ Although full of doubts, Khloe got into the car grabbing Ashley by the hand.

Kimberly and Hector on the hand also got into the car, and kept looking around, murmuring. ‘’This luxury car is just different, it’s so comfortable to sit in!’’

‘’This is much more comfortable than a Limousine,’’ Hector said excitedly. Both Kim and Hector looked at Quincy and said, ‘’useless boy sitting in Rolls-Royce.’’

At the Walter’s…..

Deborah was holding the necklace from Tee Jewelry excited, ‘’Opps, Vincent got me a present from TEE JEWELRY, this is so beautiful, ’’she said as she admires the necklace. ‘’Alright ma, please do sign here,’’ the delivery guy said as he bent his neck a bit down to show Deborah where it was written MRs Walter. She signed and the delivery guy left.

Quincy and Khloe just stepped inside the Walter’s mansion, Lord Walter, just at the sight of them screamed, ‘’can I have the papers to the property you recovered?’’ Khloe handed it over to him. ‘’Instead of jubilating about this, we are a bit sad because Deborah’s property was seized.’’ Lord Walter said.

‘’Grandfather, I was asked to get the property from Kubus and that was what I did, yes Deborah was slapped and her money seized that part doesn’t concern me, ’’Khloe said with a bit fear not sure of the reply she will get from Grandfather.

Deborah scoffed, ‘’Quincy made him angry, the anger led to that, I want my penthouse or my money,’’ she turned to Vincent, ‘’I expected you to give the retard two dirty slap as a payback for the slap I got from Kubus.’’

Vincent walked to Quincy, hooked him by the shirt, tried to lift him but he couldn’t, he tried to slap him, Quincy stopped the slap with his left hand, with a mean angry face Quincy roared, ‘’Don’t even think of it.’’ he held Vincent’s hand for few seconds, Vincent tried everything possible to bring down his hand but he couldn’t. Quincy looked steadily into his eyes fiercely, Vincent got scared because the grip was beginning to hurt.

‘’Grandfather, interrupted, ’’Stop that both of you, Vincent should go back to Kubus and recover your property, he can ask Charles for help, Kim just told me that it was Charles who helped Khloe and not Quincy.’’

‘’Yes, the retard couldn’t have done that,’’ Kimberly said. ‘’Even, Kubus will be attending the Birthday celebration today, Charles assured me he will invite him over.’’ Kim looked at Charles direction, Charles breathed in ‘’Yes, but …….

Quincy’s phone rang, the sound of the phone disrupted Charles, he answered, ‘’Hello,’’

‘’Boss, the necklace has being delivered to the Walter’s family, hope madam loved it?’’ Quincy was shocked, because he was almost sure that Khloe hasn’t gotten any necklace. It was his mistake, he was supposed to give Scot, Kim and Hector’s house address and not Walter’s.

‘’She didn’t receive any necklace, call the delivery guy for confirmation.’’ Quincy instructed and ended the call.

Then looking at everyone in the mansion Quincy asked gently, ‘’Did anyone receive any Necklace from TEE JEWELLRY?’’
