The Plot Thickens

Laurel didn’t expect something like that, what was going on? So many negative things were happening just when she started dating this man and it made it seem like she made the wrong choice.

She held the cell phone to her ear but no words could come out of her mouth as it stayed agape.

“Are you still there?” Tony spoke again after some seconds, Laurel might be aware of his grandmother through Lilian. If they were really best friends, they’d tell each other everything.

“Ye ... .ye ... .yes i am, I’m just so speechless right now,” Laurel stuttered, her voice wasn’t like it was earlier.

It sounded weak and tearful now. Tony must be going through a lot as they spoke, but then he wanted her to be in attendance of the burial and there was no way she could refuse even though she didn’t want to meet people yet.

“That’s why I wanted to tell you physically, but it’s alright, she died peacefully in her sleep, that’s what they told me. It means it was her time to go,” Tony sniffed as he spoke
