CHAPTER 7
The manager instantly rushed down. A Flintshire was not someone he could dare to offend. What was this customer talking about though? They had made extreme efforts to train every one of their staff on good behaviour and customer service. But sweat pooled on the manager's head, this wasn't just a customer This was a Flintshire and with a single statement, he could lose his high paying job. Quinn stood, checking his watch when a man walked up to him. Looking down, he realised this person was also wearing a salesman tag. “Good day Sir. Are you interested in any one of our cars? I can show you a few of them if you just tell me your preference.” The young man said, giving Quinn a smile. Quinn looked at the man before letting out a sigh. “Okay. I'd give the company one more chance.” Although the man didn't understand what Quinn was talking about, he still waited. “I want something like a truck but lightweight and with bulletproof glasses, and it should also be fast.” Quinn tried to explain. He wasn't a connoisseur of cars but he knew what he wanted. In his last life, he had seen someone drive that exact vehicle and was able to scale through the thick icy ground. He needed to prepare for that. “I have just the right vehicle, Sir. Please follow me.” The man said and Quinn went along with him. They arrived in front of the central display. Staying there as a large mechanical vehicle, with iron clad body, it was covered in deep metal and its tires were laced with iron rods that would make it stick to the icy ground. “Is this what you are looking for?” The salesman asked and Quinn quickly nodded. This was even better than what he saw in his last life. If anything, he would have wanted more of these vehicles. But it was okay. “Yes, I'd like to take this and then I'd want to know how much I'd be paying for it.” Quinn said with a smile. He was much more satisfied now that his needs had been met. The manager rushed down. “Good day, Sven. Have you seen any client by the name of Flintshire?” The manager said quickly, while Quinn stood by the side. “I believe you are talking about me.” Quinn said, pulling out his identity card Unlike his subordinate, the manager was a very calm man so he didn't want to rush what was going on. At first glance, it would never be easy to tell that Quinn, the man in front of him, had come from a wealthy family. “It really is you, Mr. Flintshire. Please I am so sorry for what encounter you faced in the morning, please might I know the person that made this mistake.” The manager said, wanting to address the problem immediately. The best way they could get favour from this rich man was if they soothed his concern. “That guy over there refused to attend to me, because he thought I wasn't a customer and I had just come in to sightsee and steal.” Quinn said with a wave of his hand. He was no longer angry about the issue now that he had been attended to. The manager frowned. “I understand, Mr. Flintshire. I'd take care of the issue right away.” He said and walked over to where the salesman was standing. Quinn watched with a smile as he saw the manager tear off the tab of the salesman. Looking away, Quinn gave no chance for the man to apologise. The security walked in and they were quick to take the man and pull him off. “You can rest easy now, Mr. Flintshire. Everything you need would be promptly provided for your perusal.” Quinn was quick with buying the car and he instantly paid the amount in full. “You. Please come here.” He called the salesman who had helped him out. “This is for you, the weather is going to be dangerous, ensure to stockpile a lot of food for your family.” The salesman was confused but this was a rich person talking, he couldn't interrupt. Quinn could see the sign of confusion but that didn't matter. “Even if it's just a little, just buy extra food for the coming harsh weather. And you should know I'm not kidding because I have my connection.” That was it. The connections of a wealthy man. The salesman nodded and Quinn proceeded to transfer ten thousand dollars to him. It was merely a tip. If only people were this generous, the world would be a better place. The bank had transferred to him the rest of his money, so the only thing he could do now was to hold them down. In the apocalypse, the use of money wouldn't be guaranteed, but after that not everyone would have enough money to use. The drive to the address wasn't long and Quinn parked his car at a distance before coming down to work. The cold blade of the knife behind his back pressed into his cold skin. Quinn smirked, remembering how he was beaten up in his last life. This was the perfect time to take this revenge and hope he never has to see such a set of people again . Harold walked out from the shadows, his hair combed to a slick back. His bandaged hand was on display and he snickered. “If it isn't the golden boy.” Harold laughed and at the same time, other men came out of the hiding. With their fists ready to pound. “What are you talking about, Harold? I thought you wanted to talk?” Quinn feigned ignorance but Harold wasn't having it. He pointed to his bandaged wrist, “I'm not going to talk to the person that did this to me. Get him!” At the sound of Harold's voice, the gang of men moved in for the kill.Latest Chapter

You ruined my reputation Quinn!" Lisa had tears in her eyes as she yelled at Quinn.Quinn was already used to her manipulation tactics from his previous life and nothing could redeem her from the evil her and her family did to him."You planned to destroy me Lisa, I'm just returning the favour" he barely looked at her as the construction workers had already resumed their work. He wanted to humiliate her more but there were more important things right now."I'll make you regret this Quinn" Lisa yelled after him but he ignored her as he received an alert on his phone. It was a red alert for everyone warning them to take shelter from the incoming typhoon but he knew it was a false news.Quinn merely glanced at the notification. In his previous life, this same warning had sent thousands of people into a frenzy, only for nothing to happen. The real disaster would come soon and by then, it would be too late for anyone who wasn't prepared."Keep working!" He yelled to the construction worke

Quinn frowned at each and everyone of them.He was making sure their faces were engrained in his memory. In the coming of the harsh apocalypse, he would turn his back on everyone.Lisa didn't want to say anything but she knew that his stance was valid.“And you think you can come to my house without a police warrant? Harassing my workers? What level of stupidity.”Quinn said, then the hint of a smile appeared on his face.Wealth was good.Wealth was power. And before money lost its value, he would make sure to appropriately use it.Before Lisa left his house, he had gotten a set of people to follow her. These were easily found on the dark web, he just needed to pay these people.“Since you all have no evidence. I'm going to give you mine.”Quinn took out his phone, and opened the door to this house.Lisa could feel the dread rising from within her.She hated where this was going and there was no way she could leave at the moment. These people held her tight. The spacious living room w

In his past life, Quinn had always been timid, but after the apocalypse in the struggle for food, he had grown to be wise.“You are making a big mistake, Harold. Didn't I teach you a lesson prior?” Quinn narrowed his eyes Harold felt a bit of trepidation, but then he looked around to the men surrounding him..“The only thing you are good at is bluffing. And once I get rid of you, we can get back the money that truly belongs to my family.”Harold lashed out, but Quinn only chuckled.“Come at me then, if you think I'm joking around.”“Get him!” Harold yelled out.In the quiet alleyway, most people wouldn't be able to notice what was going on.But Quinn didn't want them to notice.Because he has not come here with an ounce of mercy. The reason for him being here was simply to kill.To get rid of anything that would ruin his chances in the upcoming disasters. The first man came forth.Having experienced this in his past life, Quinn could already predict the movement. And another thing, h

Quinn walked to his new house. It was perfect and with the right amount of space.Since he came back, he had been unable to test the extent of the power he had received.“A spatial space.” Quinn muttered. The next moment, he thought about the space and he blinked, only to appear in the white area again.“I can access it just by thinking of entering it.” Quinn muttered to himself.Currently he had nothing with him to test if this space could actually hold items.Quinn started walking far. Then he realised that this place was actually bigger than he thought and no matter how he tried to explore it, he just couldn't see the end.Quinn left the spatial area He would have Mr. Benson deliver all the goods to this place and then he could load them into the spatial space. He took out his phone and quickly sent the new address.Mr. Benson was quick to see the update and reacted to it.Quinn liked the fact that the windows in this place were actually top notch.“Okay this would be able to blo

Quinn had sorted the first stage. Now for the second back up plan, he needed to get ready for the upcoming storm.“Hello James. I might need your help again. I need to buy another house, and I want you to keep this confidential. The house should be situated on high ground with a very sturdy ground base. A foundation that can withstand even the strongest of floods.”Quinn explained. He wasn't even sure such a place existed but he had to try his luck.“Oh! There's a place that was built recently and we have tested the whole area. It matches your exact description. The place available right now is the pent house at the highest level.”“I'd buy that.”“But it's a lot more expensive than the first.” James tried to warn me, but then he saw the credit alert of twenty million naira.“Thank you Sir Quinn, but the actual amount is fifteen million naira.” James looked at his phone againQuinn had sent him the details of a bank account.“I'd be expecting a refund of the remaining amount.
