His father sighed. "There's no truth but what you have done. Maybe you're the monster here."

Adrian's rage reached its peak and it exploded from him like a wildfire. The air hummed with red energy.

He grabbed his father by the tailored suit jacket. His fingers dug in like claws. He lifted him effortlessly from the throne.

Adrian's face lit up with anger. His eyes burned red. "You did this! Admit it!"

He smashed the balcony doors open.

Adrian hauled his father over the stone railing. He lifted the older man high into the cold, rainy air.

Wind howled around them and lightning flashed in the sky.

"TELL ME THE TRUTH," Adrian roared. "OR I SWEAR I'LL END YOU HERE AND NOW!"

His father's face was devoid of fear. He didn't struggle. He smiled.

A very chilling and triumphant smirk.

She ran to the vault with Adrian behind her.The protective glass case in the center of the room was shattered.Sophia froze. “No…” she whispered, stepping forward. “No, no, no…”Adrian followed her in. The spot where the glowing plant had once sat was empty.“The Phoenix Root,” he said quietly. “It’s gone.”Sophia covered her mouth, shaking her head. “That’s impossible. Only my family has access here!”The officers were already searching the perimeter. One of them came over, holding a small flashlight. “No fingerprints, no forced entry,” he said. “Whoever did this knew exactly what they were doing.”Adrian crouched near the shattered glass, his sharp eyes scanning the floor. The door was not

Her breathing was uneven, her body trembling from the chemicals running through her veins.Adrian crouched beside her and opened a small silver case from his jacket pocket. • CHAPTER 271

Adrian sat in a quiet café two blocks from the Diamond District. The city lights shimmered faintly through the glass, casting long shadows across the table. His black coffee had gone cold, untouched. He stared at the files on his tablet — encrypted reports, bank transfers, and coded messages linked to his father. Each line of data carried the weight of betrayal. His jaw tightened. “So it was you,” he muttered. Then something inside him shifted. A faint vibration — a pulse of danger — brushed against his senses. His Dragon energy stirred awake, crawling under his skin like a silent warning. Someone nearby was in trouble. He closed the files, his crimson eyes flashing faintly. The pulse grew stronger — erratic, panicked — pulling him toward the Diamond District. He moved. Within minutes, he reached the bar.
