Before the ships carrying the orphans arrived, Zeus descended into what appeared to be a basement. There, he found Maos standing in front of a rehabilitation tank. Inside the tank, floating in a greenish liquid, was Sir Larot. Devoid of armor or clothing except for a swimsuit and a helmet that completely covered his face, the man displayed an athletic physique, with several scars marking his skin: some crossed his back, while a long, deep one ran across his chest like a reminder of past battles.

"And so, doctor, how is the patient?" asked Zeus as he entered the laboratory, his voice echoing with authority in the cold room.

"He’s fine. I’ve stabilized him, and I believe he’ll recover in a couple of days," replied Maos calmly, adjusting some controls on the tank’s panel.

"Good. Now, I want you to activate his mental control so he becomes more obedient to my commands," instructed Zeus, his tone firm and demanding.

"Yes, sir. As you wish," responded Maos, pressing a button located outside

The Caribou robot, its metallic body gleaming under the pale light of dawn, watched as Lania swiftly sketched a spider in her hand. With a fluid motion, the spider sprang to life, sliding from her palm to the ground, where it grew to the size of a mechanical animal."Wow! You really are an artist," Josh exclaimed, his eyes wide as saucers. "The spider you drew looks real, like one of those giant tarantulas from horror movies." His voice trembled slightly as he added, "But... why does it have rainbow colors? And that smiling cloud on its abdomen... it's unsettling.""Hey! Thanks," Lania replied, tilting her head modestly as she stepped between Josh and the Caribou. "It’s my special touch, something that makes the artist stand out.""You mean like a signature or a trademark?" Josh asked, rubbing his hands together to warm them."Yeah, yeah... something like that," she murmured, avoiding his gaze. Her focus was already on the battle ahead. The spider, though made of ink, was as tangible

"Hello, sister!" The boy’s voice echoed from above, where he stood perched on the shoulder of a colossal creature with a lion's head and twisted horns that seemed forged from obsidian. The young man was identical to her, except for his jet-black hair braided with a golden strand that gleamed like a trapped sunbeam. His eyes were two crimson pools, deep and dark as puddles of fresh blood. He wore an impeccably black suit, with a long coat reaching down to his knees, adorned by a white line that ran along the collar and descended to the row of buttons. A red handkerchief peeked out of the right pocket of his chest, adding a touch of color to his somber attire. Folded dark wings rested on his back, ready to unfurl at a moment’s notice."What kind of 'hello' is that?" she retorted from below, crossing her arms as her gaze reflected a mix of relief and reproach. "Where have you been? You left me alone here in this disgusting gloom, worried that you’d lost control of your powers again. In f

“This is going to hurt,” the boy said with resignation as he watched the giant monster’s foot descend inexorably toward him. And, as if it were a cruel joke of fate, the monster crushed him mercilessly.“Hey! Monster, why did you squish that kid? You’ve turned him into mush. I don’t think even my magic can bring him back… Well, I know someone who might, but he won’t have much of a life left,” a sweet voice commented from the shadows. The figure of a young girl began to materialize in front of the creature. She appeared to be about fifteen, with short white hair and a golden braid on the right side that gleamed like a ray of sunlight. She wore a white suit with golden highlights on the chest, evoking the image of an angel. Delicate golden wings protruded from her back, and she wore white gloves with golden edges that completed her celestial appearance. The monster roared furiously, stretching out a massive hand toward her as if trying to grab her. “Don’t yell at me or lay a hand on me,

“No, guys, no!” Travis shouted as he witnessed the heart-wrenching scene. His fists clenched tightly as his voice trembled with anguish. “I’m going to lose more teammates again,” he murmured, lowering his head in despair. Beside him, Eliot pretended to focus on evacuating the civilians, but his eyes gleamed with a mix of coldness and cunning. It wasn’t Eliot thinking; it was Xen, the entity residing within him. This was my chance to take down Travis, Xen thought, savoring the moment. But something stopped him.The rest of the group also fell into a somber silence, believing their companions had been annihilated by the missile. The air was heavy with grief and mourning. However, just at that moment, Anais's voice began to echo across the battlefield with a shout.Travis, Eliot, Berta, and Patricia exchanged confused glances. Where were they? They could still hear their voices, but there was no trace of them. “Could they be voices from beyond?” Berta wondered aloud, placing a hand over

"You guys alright, tios?" came a warm voice from behind them."‘Tios’?" Patricia repeated with an ironic smile. "We’re still young, aren’t we?"Everyone quickly turned toward the voice and saw a thin man dressed like a flamenco guitarist. He wore impeccably pressed dark pants, a long-sleeved shirt in a subdued tone, elegant yet comfortable leather shoes, and held a classic wooden guitar that seemed to carry a thousand stories. His blonde hair gleamed under the dim light, and his green eyes radiated calm and confidence."Hostias, sh*t!" Antonio exclaimed, using a typical expression from the region. "I meant ‘chavales or guys.’ Good thing I found you all! I arrived just in time." He paused dramatically before introducing himself. "I’m Agent A-12, but since we’re among colleagues, you can call me Antonio Navarro. What are you doing around here? Where’s my colleague Olaf? It’s been a while since I saw him." As he spoke, Antonio began looking around for Olaf, but he noticed how everyone lo

The three quickly disembarked from the vehicle, moving with urgency toward the battlefield where civilians were fighting against the relentless advancing machines. Marcus ordered the cadets to press forward and bring the injured to the point marked on the car’s radar, which continued its course automatically. "Well, I'll make another one later," Marcus said, adjusting his gloves with a metallic gleam.Meanwhile, Marin extended her hands forward, summoning torrents of water that crashed forcefully against the robotic motorcycles. Their circuits screeched and shut down instantly, leaving a momentary silence that was interrupted by the stammered thanks of the residents. One of them pointed toward an imposing building, a tower surrounded by smaller structures. "There are still more over there... and people who need help!" one of the survivors shouted. From atop the tower, strange figures descended: some resembled humanoid insects, grotesque and menacing, while others had the absurd shape
