Aiden took one more glance at the man who sat in the backseat through the rearview mirror of his car.

He seemed wealthy, like one who owned a Fintech or biotech company. He had a three-piece crisply ironed suit on, and Aiden thought that a review from him would help.

He needed every single cash he could get to pay his rent and university tuition. A five-star rating could give him extra bucks, and he was determined to get it from all his customers.

"I would love it if you could drop a five-star rating for me sir," Aiden said with an enthusiastic smile as his eyes went from the rearview mirror to the road before him.

Jason, who all along stuck to going through his phone, finally took a glance at the rearview mirror locking eyes with Aiden projecting a dead stare, but then he looked away without a word.

Aiden was disappointed, but he was not discouraged.

"It's easy. Log in to the app and then click on the five-star rating." Aiden implored with a persistent tone.

"And what does a five-star rating do for you?" Finally, Jason was forced to pause whatever he was doing. That singular act, boosted Aiden's excitement to continue.

"The Uber company gives you two dollars per five-star rating," Aiden answered enthusiastically. Jason chuckled before he looked up at Aiden.

"And how much do you earn per day with this job of yours?" He asked with a sneer.

"Fifteen dollars on good days, and ten dollars on a rainy day," Aiden replied innocently, without noticing any iota of ridicule from Jason.

"How miserable can you get?" Jason asked rhetorically after a thread of outbursts, causing Aiden to regret asking the question in the first place.

If only fate could smile on him and elevate his status, he would have no reason to serve people like Jason.

"I see you have a girlfriend as well," Jason broke into his silence as he reached out and grabbed a picture on Aiden's dashboard. A tinge of recognition crossed his eyes as he looked at the lady in the picture, but he concealed it with a faint chuckle.

"So how do you expect to cater for a woman as beautiful as this with your miserly daily pay?" The man asked.

"With all due respect sir, she knows that I work so hard for us," Aiden said firmly, tightening his fist to the wheel in rage. "No matter what you say, stay out of my relationship life!" Aiden added between gritted teeth, bringing the car to a halt.

Jason, on the other hand, chuckled. "Of course, I won't interfere. Only that, you never can tell what's coming next because life is full of surprises," Jason sarcastically replied with a smirk as he alighted at his location, jamming the door heavily.

Every single thing Jason had said came playing into his head, his grip tightened to the wheel more as he watched Jason disappear from sight.

If Aiden was given the opportunity, he would definitely beat Jason to a pulp. However, he let it slide, stepped on the gas, and was just about driving off when he heard his phone chim.

A glance at it, his anger intensified.

"What do you want?" Aiden asked, taking deep breaths to let go of his anger so Jason would not choose an unfair review.

"I left a bag in your car, and I need you to bring it upstairs for me," Jason stated, completely ignoring his rage. "The house number is the penthouse," he added.

Aiden hung up first and looked at the backseat. There was a white paper bag lying there which seemed to contain another item.

He was still raging within him, as such, all he wanted was to deliver the damn bag and get the hell out of the place.

Following the given address, Aiden realized it took him to the front of a glassy building, obviously meant for the wealthy.

No wonder Jason could insult him all because of a mere question. Aiden thought to himself, made use of the elevator and he soon got to the top floor.

The moment he approached the stated door, attempting to press the doorbell, he was interrupted by moans from a lady coming from within.

"This guy is a real asshole." Aiden said to himself, but then his actions were once again cut short when the voice. sounded oddly familiar.

However, he brushed the thought off his mind immediately and pressed the doorbell, first, second time. Attempting the third, the door flung open, giving way for a feminine figure.

With his fist hanging in the air, Aiden's jaw dropped, sighting the lady before him.

"Alice?!" he felt cold chills run down his spine. Running his gaze over her body, he as well realized she was on a short towel.

A perfect evidence that it was her voice he heard all along.

"Alice! What the hell? What are you doing up here?"

They continued with their meal and were still involved in their little argument when the restaurant door slid open. The restaurant was soon filled with noisy chatters as some boys walked in. Aiden was the first to look up, and he could not believe his eyes when he saw Jason and Melvin. He would have picked up his bag and slid out of the restaurant immediately, but Melvin had seen him already. Melvin was surprised to see him among so many girls as he did not think that Aiden was one to have the attention of all the ladies he was sitting with. He was particularly annoyed, because May, the most beautiful girl in college, was seated with him. All the guys admired her, and she was the cynosure of all eyes. Even her fellow female students thought that she was breathtaking. For the longest time, he had been trying to ask her to be his girlfriend, but she had refused all his advances and gestures. She even went ahead to call him a jerk. He had not given up so easily. He had even bought he

The board members still sat in the boardroom as they thought about what had just happened. They could not believe that they were almost on the verge of losing their jobs. Even President Maxwell had never threatened them with their jobs before. They knew that their new chairman, despite being a young boy, was going to be dangerous as well.“I think we all need to come up with a solution to salvage this situation because our new boss is not one to take any nonsense,” Mr. Adams, who was the most outspoken man among them, decided to break the ice after the long silence. “There is nothing to do here, but for us to sit up, and start putting in our best for this company,” Mr Henry, a stout man in his mid-fifties, said. “I agree with you,” Mrs Floyd, a rather attractive woman for the age of fifty-two, concurred. “I mean, we have been working in this company for so many years, receiving fat salaries, but have been doing the least work. This should be an eye-opener for us to under that we oug

Brandy went silent immediately at his request. Dakota was with him as well, and they did not seem to understand why he would want to take such a drastic measure against those companies. “Are you sure about this sir?” Brandy asked him and Dakota was listening as well. “The immediate action that you are requesting will ruin a lot of things for them.”“I don't care,” Aiden said ruthlessly. “As long as no life is going to be lost in this process, I want you to do all that you can to ensure that they are ruined. I want them to begin to beg for survival, and I want it to be done immediately,” he insisted. “If this is about something that they did, we can fix it without having to go this far,” Dakota chipped in. “Brandy,” Aiden called out. “You have never questioned me since you started working for me, so don't start now.”“Your wish is my command,” Brandy finally said. “Good. Now, arrange for the board of directors meeting, and send me that driver so that I can be there in fifteen minut

Aiden was not too enthusiastic to go to school the next day because of all the judgments that he had been receiving lately. He wished he could just stay home and be in bed all day, but he needed the degree to rub his company better. As he stepped down from the cab, an unfamiliar voice hollered at him. He turned around immediately to see who it was, and it was as though his gloomy day was brightened up in a second. He had never seen anyone as beautiful as the girl who was waving at him right now. She was fair with delicate facial features that looked like she was created on a special day. Her hair ran in long full waves that settled below her waist and she had a curvy frame that was outlined by the small dress that she wore. He stopped walking and waited for her to walk towards him. She had some books on the crook of her arm, and when she walked, her hair bounced behind her, making her movement beautiful to watch. He had not seen her before around campus and he wondered if she was a

“See who we have here,” Aiden said with a fake hand clap as he looked at the manager who was standing before him in shock. “You called me a thief and ordered for me to be thrown out of your mall, right? But here you are, running an errand that you could have easily asked one of your staff to carry out,” he continued. “I am very sorry for what happened back then. I was just trying to be very careful of thieves,” the manager said. “That does not give you the right to judge a book by its cover,” Aiden insisted. The manager did not know what to do anymore to appease Aiden. He knew that if he secured Aiden, the CEO of Vuitton Co, his business would hit the roof. He fell to his knees immediately and clasped his hands together in a kind of submission. “What are you doing?” Aiden asked him, taken by surprise. “I know that I have offended you, but please, don't let my offense stop you from doing business with me,” the manager pleaded. Aiden looked at him intently for a while, as though h

By the next day in school, everyone already knew about the lottery that Aiden won as the news spread like wildfire. As usual, everyone had their opinion about how he spent the money. Some of the students, mostly those who have benefited from the scholarship scheme in the past commended him for his efforts and sacrifice. However, other students thought that it was foolish of him to donate all his money to charity. As Aiden stepped into the school that morning, all eyes were on him. Some looked at him with admiration, while others looked at him with disgust. He decided that he was not going to pay any attention to anyone and just move on with his business of the day. Before he could enter the lecture hall, Helen, the departmental head of the students' board summoned him into their meeting. Helen had been of help to him in the past. As the departmental head, she was responsible for the welfare of the students in the department. She mostly helped those students who were charity cases
