“Father would never allow me to divorce that bastard, in the name of honoring grandfather's deal with Adam. I wish I could but I can't”

“Yes you can Racheal” Rhea said. “And I'm going to help you with it”

“But how?” Racheal asked.

“I have a plan that will actually work” a smirk escaped her lips.

Racheal and Rhea then walked out of the room and went back to the sitting room where Adam and the rest of the family members were.

Everyone was in suspense on what Racheal was about to say.

“I'll forgive you Adam only on one condition” Racheal started making Adam more curious.

“What condition Racheal?” His eyes were begging for answers.

“Today's my birthday and the decorations will soon start, and I'll want you to serve as one of the waiters at the party tonight” she replied with a smirk on her face.

“What?” Adam's jaw dropped.

Monica and her sister Theresa smiled in satisfaction of Rachael's request. This will be a perfect punishment for this loser.

“How can I serve as a waiter Racheal? For goodness sake I'm your husband” Adam was dumbfounded.

“You should be grateful I asked for something this little, you didn't contribute any penny to this birthday celebration, you're just a liability to this family. Take this as part of your contribution to the family. And if you really want me to remain your wife you'll do this for me” Racheal fired at him.

Adam didn't know what to do, he had faced many humiliations in the family but this time he thought they were going overboard, this is just too much for anyone. How can a husband be a waiter at his wife's birthday party?

Racheal took a few steps towards Adam. She then whispered into his ears. “If you do this you'll have all of me tonight” she said seductively and kissed him on the cheek.

Adam's body almost melted, he got goosebumps instantly. Why was she suddenly nice? For three years being in the Odia family he had never had an intimacy with his wife. First it was because of her condition but after she recovered she saw him as an inferior person to her and would never let him touch her, not to mention opening her leg for him.

Racheal looked at his lips and then stared at him with the triangle method and bit her lips. She was so damn beautiful that Adam didn't want to think if this was just a black mailing or honesty. He was ready to risk it.

“So do we have a deal?” Racheal asked.

Adam nodded positively. The rest of the family members were puzzled, what was Racheal doing? Meanwhile Rhea smiled devilishly, she knew all the plans and sooner today Adam's going to be kicked out of their lives.

Few hours past 8pm the hall had been decorated and many honorable guests had arrived. Somewhere Rachael's college friends and other family friends and business partners.

Adam was in his room, he was dressed as a waiter, he looked at himself in the mirror, his face was rough due to unshaved bears but overall he was still looking handsome with a height of 6 '4.

He sighed, “come on Adam, you're doing this for Racheal” he encouraged himself and forced a smile before walking outside.

The party had fully begun and Adam along with the other waiters served across the tables.

Adam sighted Mr Luther amongst the guests. “Father inlaw had arrived, I should go say hi” he said to himself but then noticed he was surrounded with many important guests and Adam wasn't presentable enough to approach him.

‘I guess I'll wait till the party is over’

Suddenly he saw his beloved wife Rachael walking down the stairs in a beautiful red gown and beside her was her sister Rhea putting on a black gown.

The whole attention of the congregation was drawn by her elegant beauty.

Adam couldn't help his excitement; he still couldn't believe he was finally going to enjoy his wife tonight after the party. He was about to go meet her before a guest called him.

“Hey waiter, come over here” a lady at the table

Adam frowned, walking towards the lady.

"Can you go get me some whiskey?" She requested.

Adam looked at his wife and then at the woman, almost confused on what to do, but then realized Rachael expected him to serve her guests so he nodded at the lady.

"I'll get it ma'am." Adam immediately attended to her request.

Then he heard his name from another table. It was no other than Theresa. Adam scoffed.

"Come over here Adam, what are you doing standing over there?" She said, trying to prove to her friends that she was a boss.

Adam walked reluctantly to her. "Do you need anything Theresa?" He asked.

Theresa's eyes widened in disbelief and all her friends stared at her.

"Did you just call me by my name?" She asked.

Adam rolled his eyes. "Isn't that your name?"

"Did your servant just talk to you that way?" Her friend chimed in.

"Deal with him Theresa he should now his to talk to his employer." Another said.

"Apologies now you good for nothing and lazy man" she abused

Adam only chuckled. "Calling me lazy when you're actually the one who's feeding on your sister's wealth without making an attempt to get a job yourself.”

All her friends gasped, putting their hands on their mouths. Theresa scratched her hair and tried to avoid eye contact, she knew Adam was saying the truth.

'Who gave this moron the audacity to talk back at me, I'll deal with him after this party' Theresa swore in her mind.

Adam smiled in satisfaction that he had given her a taste of her own medicine and he knew she wouldn't be able to talk back to him because of her friends.

Suddenly there was an uproar of cheers at the hall. Everyone turned trying to peek from the crowd.

The murmurs filled the room. "Drake Penthouse is here."

"Oh my God, it's really Drake."

"The heir of the Penthouse."

Adam didn't know who the person was, but due to the talks from the people he could tell he was someone with a very high status.

He came with several guards, the guards soon made way by clearing the crowd and Drake's face was revealed.

He was an average man, with a handsome profile and an expensive suit, his wrist watch and shoe spells luxury.

Suddenly Racheal saw him and ran to him hugging him passionately.

"What? How did Racheal know him?" Adam thought, but washed the thought from his head when he realized he could just be an old friend of hers.

Drake hugged her back and his hands behind her waist as he then pressed her ass pecking her on her cheek.

Adam boiled in anger, he was tempted to interrupt them but held himself. This was an important occasion for his wife, he didn't want to ruin it for her.

Francis’ worry eased slightly at the masked man’s words. The reassurance gave him a fleeting sense of relief — fleeting, because even if Xander Sanders was dead, his shadow still lingered through his disciple.“Alright,” Francis muttered after a long pause, his voice low and cold. “But there’s another matter. Even if Xander is gone, his disciple remains. We can’t allow him to grow any stronger. We need to deal with him before he becomes a problem.”The masked man leaned back in his chair, arms crossed beneath his dark robes. His tone was dismissive. “He’s just a youngster. There’s nothing to fear. You’re overthinking this.”Francis frowned, his eyes flashing. “Don’t underestimate him,” he said sharply. “You didn’t see what I saw. He easily defeated my son, Maverick, without breaking a sweat. His talent is terrifying. In ten years—or perhaps even sooner—he could reach the Divine Realm.”That caught the masked man’s attention. His body stiffened ever so slightly, the only sign that Fran

Adam’s eyes darkened with sorrow at the mention of Xander Sanders, the man who had been more than just a mentor to him—he had been family. The faint ache that flickered across Adam’s face didn’t go unnoticed by Leah, though she kept silent, sensing the weight behind that look.“Yes,” Bruce declared, his deep voice echoing across the courtyard like a rolling storm. “He is my future son-in-law. And anyone who dares to harm him—” his gaze swept over the crowd like a blade “—will answer to me personally!”A suffocating pressure rippled outward, forcing several onlookers to lower their heads instinctively. Even Francis, a divine grandmaster, felt the invisible force pressing against his chest. Bruce Sanders in full authority was not someone anyone dared to provoke.Francis’s eyes narrowed, his pride smarting, but he didn’t dare challenge Bruce head-on. Instead, he turned to Adam, his tone cold. “Where is your mentor now?”Adam’s expression didn’t waver, though his heart tightened. “He’s li

Even the dogs at the edge of the compound had pressed their noses to the ground, sensitive to the change.Francis didn’t look like a man about to ask for mercy. He filled the space with a kind of slow, unhurried thunder. “How dare you injure my son on our territory? You’ve got some guts!” His voice rolled over the crowd, a command dressed in contempt.
