“Father would never allow me to divorce that bastard, in the name of honoring grandfather's deal with Adam. I wish I could but I can't”
“Yes you can Racheal” Rhea said. “And I'm going to help you with it” “But how?” Racheal asked. “I have a plan that will actually work” a smirk escaped her lips. *** Racheal and Rhea then walked out of the room and went back to the sitting room where Adam and the rest of the family members were. Everyone was in suspense on what Racheal was about to say. “I'll forgive you Adam only on one condition” Racheal started making Adam more curious. “What condition Racheal?” His eyes were begging for answers. “Today's my birthday and the decorations will soon start, and I'll want you to serve as one of the waiters at the party tonight” she replied with a smirk on her face. “What?” Adam's jaw dropped. Monica and her sister Theresa smiled in satisfaction of Rachael's request. This will be a perfect punishment for this loser. “How can I serve as a waiter Racheal? For goodness sake I'm your husband” Adam was dumbfounded. “You should be grateful I asked for something this little, you didn't contribute any penny to this birthday celebration, you're just a liability to this family. Take this as part of your contribution to the family. And if you really want me to remain your wife you'll do this for me” Racheal fired at him. Adam didn't know what to do, he had faced many humiliations in the family but this time he thought they were going overboard, this is just too much for anyone. How can a husband be a waiter at his wife's birthday party? Racheal took a few steps towards Adam. She then whispered into his ears. “If you do this you'll have all of me tonight” she said seductively and kissed him on the cheek. Adam's body almost melted, he got goosebumps instantly. Why was she suddenly nice? For three years being in the Odia family he had never had an intimacy with his wife. First it was because of her condition but after she recovered she saw him as an inferior person to her and would never let him touch her, not to mention opening her leg for him. Racheal looked at his lips and then stared at him with the triangle method and bit her lips. She was so damn beautiful that Adam didn't want to think if this was just a black mailing or honesty. He was ready to risk it. “So do we have a deal?” Racheal asked. Adam nodded positively. The rest of the family members were puzzled, what was Racheal doing? Meanwhile Rhea smiled devilishly, she knew all the plans and sooner today Adam's going to be kicked out of their lives. Few hours past 8pm the hall had been decorated and many honorable guests had arrived. Somewhere Rachael's college friends and other family friends and business partners. Adam was in his room, he was dressed as a waiter, he looked at himself in the mirror, his face was rough due to unshaved bears but overall he was still looking handsome with a height of 6 '4. He sighed, “come on Adam, you're doing this for Racheal” he encouraged himself and forced a smile before walking outside. The party had fully begun and Adam along with the other waiters served across the tables. Adam sighted Mr Luther amongst the guests. “Father inlaw had arrived, I should go say hi” he said to himself but then noticed he was surrounded with many important guests and Adam wasn't presentable enough to approach him. ‘I guess I'll wait till the party is over’ Suddenly he saw his beloved wife Rachael walking down the stairs in a beautiful red gown and beside her was her sister Rhea putting on a black gown. The whole attention of the congregation was drawn by her elegant beauty. Adam couldn't help his excitement; he still couldn't believe he was finally going to enjoy his wife tonight after the party. He was about to go meet her before a guest called him. “Hey waiter, come over here” a lady at the table Adam frowned, walking towards the lady. "Can you go get me some whiskey?" She requested. Adam looked at his wife and then at the woman, almost confused on what to do, but then realized Rachael expected him to serve her guests so he nodded at the lady. "I'll get it ma'am." Adam immediately attended to her request. Then he heard his name from another table. It was no other than Theresa. Adam scoffed. "Come over here Adam, what are you doing standing over there?" She said, trying to prove to her friends that she was a boss. Adam walked reluctantly to her. "Do you need anything Theresa?" He asked. Theresa's eyes widened in disbelief and all her friends stared at her. "Did you just call me by my name?" She asked. Adam rolled his eyes. "Isn't that your name?" "Did your servant just talk to you that way?" Her friend chimed in. "Deal with him Theresa he should now his to talk to his employer." Another said. "Apologies now you good for nothing and lazy man" she abused Adam only chuckled. "Calling me lazy when you're actually the one who's feeding on your sister's wealth without making an attempt to get a job yourself.” All her friends gasped, putting their hands on their mouths. Theresa scratched her hair and tried to avoid eye contact, she knew Adam was saying the truth. 'Who gave this moron the audacity to talk back at me, I'll deal with him after this party' Theresa swore in her mind. Adam smiled in satisfaction that he had given her a taste of her own medicine and he knew she wouldn't be able to talk back to him because of her friends. Suddenly there was an uproar of cheers at the hall. Everyone turned trying to peek from the crowd. The murmurs filled the room. "Drake Penthouse is here." "Oh my God, it's really Drake." "The heir of the Penthouse." Adam didn't know who the person was, but due to the talks from the people he could tell he was someone with a very high status. He came with several guards, the guards soon made way by clearing the crowd and Drake's face was revealed. He was an average man, with a handsome profile and an expensive suit, his wrist watch and shoe spells luxury. Suddenly Racheal saw him and ran to him hugging him passionately. "What? How did Racheal know him?" Adam thought, but washed the thought from his head when he realized he could just be an old friend of hers. Drake hugged her back and his hands behind her waist as he then pressed her ass pecking her on her cheek. Adam boiled in anger, he was tempted to interrupt them but held himself. This was an important occasion for his wife, he didn't want to ruin it for her.

Chapter 506
Elsie’s eyes widened. Very few people knew the details of her past engagement, yet this man had exposed it so easily. Her admiration for him deepened, laced now with awe. As expected of the Supreme General… he knows everything, and nothing escapes his grasp. She steadied herself and spoke softly, “Supreme General, it’s true. I did have a fiancé. But that was an arrangement forced on me by my mother. I only learned of it later. And I broke it off some time ago.”Adam swirled the wine in his cup, his gaze never leaving her. “Why did you break off the engagement?”Her expression hardened, disdain flashing across her beautiful face. “Because that man was already married. He was nothing more than a freeloader, living off his wife’s family wealth. I despise such men the most. Men without dignity, without backbone.”Adam’s lips curved into the faintest smile. A sharp gleam flickered in his eyes. If only you knew, Elsie. The man you’re calling a parasite is standing right in front of you…He

With a simple wave of Adam’s hand, Dante understood. He bowed, then briskly ordered everyone out of the pavilion. The guards filed away, the sound of their boots fading until the air grew still.Silence hung heavy, broken only by the soft trickle of water from the pond nearby. Adam leaned back in his chair, crossing one leg over the other, his sharp gaze fixed on Elsie.“Alright,” he said slowly, his tone calm but edged with curiosity. “There’s no one else here now. Let’s see what gift you’ve prepared for me.”Elsie’s lips curled into a faint smile. Her eyes gleamed with a mixture of nervousness and determination. Then, in a voice dripping with seduction, she said, “The finest gift I can offer is myself. My body… I am willing to give it to you, Supreme General. Please… favor me.”Before Adam could react, she reached behind her neck, fingers tugging at the zipper of her gown. The sound of it sliding down echoed faintly, provocative in the quiet night. The snow-white gown slipped off he

“Send her away. I don’t want to see her.”Adam’s voice was firm, almost dismissive. He didn’t even bother to lift his gaze from the cup of wine in his hand. Beauty alone meant nothing to him, and while Elsie Carter was undeniably beautiful, her character had always repulsed him.Dante hesitated before adding, “Supreme General… Ms. Carter is here to deliver you a gift. She was insistent you would be very pleased with it.”Adam’s fingers paused against the cup. A faint smile tugged at his lips. “Oh? Interesting… If she believes she can surprise me, then I want to see what confidence she’s built her visit on. Let her in.”Dante bowed and left quickly. Moments later, he returned, escorting Elsie into the pavilion.Adam’s eyes narrowed ever so slightly at the sight of her. It had been some time since he had last seen her, yet Elsie looked no less dazzling. She had dressed with precision, every detail meant to dazzle and command attention. A snow-white strapless gown clung to her slender fi
Chapter 503
When Winda learned that Adam was seeking century-old dragon roots and white herbs, her expression lit with sudden memory.“Supreme General,” she said, leaning forward slightly, “I know where you might be able to find a century-old white herb.”Adam’s eyes sharpened instantly. “Where?” His voice carried urgency—this wasn’t just idle interest. For him, these herbs were the difference between stagnation and resurgence.Winda explained, “The Zarholts’ residence. Ese’s father was gravely ill in the past. The family spared no expense in gathering rare herbs from across the continent. Among the collection was a century-old white herb. It was their most prized possession. But her father never consumed it… so it should still be in their possession.”Adam fell silent, his mind calculating. The Zarholts were not a simple family. Powerful, resourceful, but also prideful. They would not give up something so rare without exacting their pound of flesh. Still, if the herb was truly in their collectio

“There’s no need for that,” Adam said flatly, his voice carrying a quiet authority that silenced the room. “Let the Supreme Banquet proceed as planned.”The others exchanged uncertain glances. Winda frowned, her lips parting as if to protest, but Adam’s gaze cut through her hesitation.“The people of Supreme Nexus have been left in chaos,” Adam continued. “They think their leader is gone. Gunther and Nathaniel are already stirring up trouble, trying to seize what doesn’t belong to them. If I appear at the banquet, it will end the speculation once and for all. Morale will be restored. The traitors will lose their nerve. It’s the quickest way to stabilize everything.”It was a calculated gamble. The banquet wasn’t just a celebration—it was a political stage, where allies, rivals, and enemies alike would gather. One appearance from him could crush rumors of his death and solidify his position again.Of course, there were risks. His thoughts drifted to Dracula and Romeo. If word of his su

She pieced together the fragments of memory—the chaos, the gunfire, the sudden silence. It wasn’t hard to guess that Adam had been the one who rescued both her and Tessa. That was just like him, throwing himself into danger for others without hesitation. But Winda was a rational woman. She understood the battlefield better than most. Staying behind would not have helped Adam—it would only have slowed him down. So, despite the ache in her chest, she returned to Storm City with Tessa, both of them battered but alive. The first few days were the hardest. Winda waited, expecting Adam to appear at any moment, walking in with that steady, unshakable presence. But each day passed in silence. No calls. No signals. No word.
