004 Out of isolation

Even with the way the entire Sky Beyond sect treated him, Xu Qing wouldn't dare refuse the sight of rare cultivation resources so he smiled receiving the resources like they meant the whole world to him.

When Xu Qing accepted the resources, Kui Luo couldn't help but mock him. 

Earlier he had preached to them about not wanting any help and now that a lot of resources are involved, he's become greedy all of a sudden.

"I thought you didn't need our help?" 

Xu Qing ignored him, but the three brats behind didn't stop him from showing his gratitude to the ying yang ancestor for the resources provided. 

He bowed in appreciation and after that, the man simply vanished, leaving Xu Qing with the three bullies.

Kui Luo smiled darkly.

"Finally alone with us. I want the mirror of void, give it to me." 

He demanded. 

The mirror of void is something everyone wanted in their grasp. Not just that, the mirror of void contains one of the strongest attacks of the ying yang ancestor. 

The worst part is that these boys didn't fear that he might use the mirror of void against them. They were absolutely confident…

In fact, they felt that the mirror of void is something he had obtained newly, using it almost immediately would be almost a waste. That is why they were confident.

Xu Qing laughed at Kui Luo's unbelievable demand. 

"I should give away the mirror of void?

But I just got it! Why should I give it to you?" 

Kui Luo sneered. "You just got it, but I want it and when I want it, you'll give it to me." 

Xu Qing's eyes grew serious.

"I would not do that." 

Yao Gu and Jin Hai stared at each other and then returned their gaze back to Xu Qing. The young man was becoming so brazen…

"How presumptuous! Did you forget that this is Kui Luo speaking to you?" 

Xu Qing, closer to his door, pushed it open, ignoring them like they were bugs and he closed the door, shutting them off.

Kui Luo was shocked.

He had never received this level of disrespect in his life before… As someone in the third cycle of the universe realm, he was an overlord on his own, as long as no one could surpass him in the cultivation realm…but what Xu Qing had done now was a slap on his face. He couldn't take it. 

Kui Luo would have attacked Xu Qing's home but he still felt like the ying yang ancestor was still at arms length, watching them like a hawk so they minded their business for when they would meet again.

Xu Qing released a deep breath as he slowly scanned the corners of his room. For now, he did not want anyone to know about his improved cultivation realm. If anything, he wanted the isolation, the mockery and their disdain…because, that would make him insignificant and there would not be too much attention on him which technically means that he is free from restrictions.

A small smile appeared on his face as his lips curved up.

He immediately stored the mirror of void in his cosmic ring but the Tei goh and Chei fai leaves remained on his little wooden table.

The Tei goh leaves improve vitality while the chei fai leaves remove impurities. Vitality Qi is not an energy that can be absorbed easily from the universe. People like Xu Qing in the realm of sky cannot directly absorb from the universe, unless they saturate themselves with spirit seeds that would help guard them against the universe's attack. 

Normally to get something, you have to give something. That is exactly what cultivation is all about. So the universe absorbs these spirit seeds from the cultivator's essence and in return gives them vitality Qi.

Xu Qing is already out of spirit seeds so any attempt to absorb vitality Qi would result in a terrifying backlash so he needed spirit seeds fast. He even discovered how fake the Ying Yang ancestor's sympathy was… 

He said he cared and wanted to see him rise again. Yet, the most important of all resources, he did not bring…probably thinking how much of a waste it was to him. 

So Xu Qing had to source out this particular item by himself. After a moment of thinking and consideration, he tucked the ancient god's sword and donned his robe. It was finally time to crawl out of his shell after almost three months of isolation.
