003 The yin yang ancestor

Previously, there had been something unknown absorbing the vital qi from his body. 

There was nothing a cultivator would be afraid of except something unknown. It is true that a known enemy is less dangerous. But an unknown and mysterious enemy is absolutely horrifying, which is why Xu Qing has been careful with every decision he makes.

His current cultivation realm now shows that he is currently in the second cycle of the realm of earth. If he had not gone to the inventory sooner, he would have fallen down by one cycle and probably lost the realm of earth cultivation. That would have been very very bad.

Closing his eyes for a bit, he sat in mid air as he started to absorb vitality Qi. 

The ancient god's sword helped him absorb more vitality Qi from the universe so that was ten times more than he had been able to do even as a genius.

Time flew by rapidly like a river and before anyone knew, 3 months passed.

Kui Luo, Yao Gu and Jin Hai thought that the inventory had killed Xu Qing like they expected and they kept it to themselves. However, on this day, the ying yang ancestor decided to go visit Xu Qing after three months of isolation…maybe there is something he could do. 

The three bullies shivered because if Xu Qing had really been killed by the inventory, it wouldn't take the yingyang ancestor long to find out where he died and how he died.

When the man started heading towards the isolated part of land, Kui Luo, Yao Gu and Jin Hai decided to tag along.

The man stared at the three with a strange expression on his face because…these boys had bullied Xu Qing. Now why are they showing concern all of a sudden.

"What are your plans exactly?"

He asked them anyway and Kui Luo thought about his next choice of words carefully. Whatever he says now depended on how ancestor Ying Yang would see them after discovering that Xu Qing had died in the inventory and that it was them who teleported him there.

"Ancestor, he's already trash. You don't have to waste resources on him."

The ying yang ancestor sighed because indeed, he was taking too rare resources just to make sure their genius would be restored and yet, other celestial cultivators had tried and failed…technically making the resources wasted.

"This should be the last time we as the Sky Beyond sect would try for him and if he doesn't come back, we would just banish him so that we don't become laughingstock."

"So shall we?" 

The three nodded as they silently entered the isolated part of sky beyond sect.

A split second later, the ying yang ancestor froze, his expression changing. 

The aura in this side had become so suffocating, almost like the heavy weight of lead had been pressed down upon them. 

"What is happening here? I don't remember this place having so much aura. Why does this aura feel so familiar…"

Kui Luo, Jin Hai and Yao Gu were physically oppressed by it. It was terrifyingly stifling yet when the ying yang ancestor continued, they followed behind.

When they got five meters close to a lonely hut, the dark energy vanished completely like it had been an illusion. 

But how they knew that it was real is the fact that everyone of them experienced the same thing…including the illusion part of it.

The ying yang ancestor knocked on Xu Qing's door and inside, the young man opened his eyes.

Three months was enough for him to step into the realm of sky. It was very fast and easy because of the fact that he had reached that realm before…and now that absorbing vitality Qi had become much more different and faster, he would definitely increase his cultivation realm much easier.

In the last three months, no one has knocked on the door, so who is it? 

Activating a concealment technique, his aura vanished…his cultivation realm was hidden. He just had the aura of a mortal. 

He slowly opened the door and of course, Kui Luo, Yao Gu and Jin Hai were shocked to see the very person they had thought had died, standing, breathing like he had never encountered anything dangerous at the inventory.

"Xu Qing, how have you been faring lately?"

Xu Qing's eyes narrowed at Kui Luo and his gang.

"Better…" 

Ancestor yingyang stared deeply at Xu Qing, worry etched on his face. 

'Why can't I sense his aura? Why can't I discern his cultivation realm?'

'He couldn't have fallen down the realm of man. If that happens, then he would lose touch with Vitality Qi. And yet I sense a very strong vitality Qi from him. What is going on?'

"How has your cultivation improved?" 

Xu Qing rolled his eyes and said again. "Better…"

Kui Luo immediately sneered. "He's here to help you with your cultivation to see if it would improve—" 

"And I don't need his help…I don't need any of you who deserted me in the first place to help me. It's my cultivation, I will handle it myself."

Kui Luo's eyes widened and he snapped. "You– have you forgotten your place? I will show you." 

Kui Luo wanted to attack but the ying yang ancestor stopped him, his hands raised as whatever energy building up within Kui Luo settled.

He turned towards Xu Qing and smiled warmly.

"I understand that you've been deserted by your own people, even your father and brother sees you as worthless. But we who show up only care about you." 

Xu Qing chuckled softly. 

"No, you don't care about me…you only care about a fallen genius. If I regain all of my cultivation realm in one go those who deserted me would flock around me. When I lose it, everyone will desert me. This implies how you've chosen your fame, popularity and wealth over the said child and how easy it is to discard them after they've had their shine." 

The ying yang ancestor pursed his lip as he listened to all Xu Qing had to say.

"Let me guess, in the last three months, the Sky Beyond sect haven't been able to bring forth a genius, am I right? Your fame and honor is taking a drastic nosedive."

Yao Gu immediately attacked without warning and yet the Ying Yang ancestor blocked it with a single finger, staring at Yao Gu with warning in his eyes.

"But ancestor, can't you see he's insulting our Sky Beyond sect. It's been a long time since he got beaten up by us. If not, he wouldn't speak to you in such a tone."

The ying yang ancestor ignored the three and brought out a few valuable resources like the Tei goh leaves that improves and boost vitality Qi absorption, the Chei fai leaves that helps wash out every impurities from the body… even went as far as to bring the mirror of void, where one can store a single technique for defence against a very powerful opponent. The mirror of void has only one use and once it is used, the mirror itself shatters. 

Such an artefact is rare and Xu Qing was getting one of such items. Kui Luo's heart burned with anger and envy.
