As soon as the thugs fled, Antonio gave Cynthia a quick nod, signaling her to get in the car.

Without a word, Cynthia slid into the driver’s seat and started the engine. They drove down the road and flashes of the ambush replayed in their minds, but none of them spoke, instead they were both lost in thought.

The leader had already coughed up the name: Robert Adams.

Antonio knew Robert too well. He was manipulative, ruthless, and calculating! Antonio knew that the ambush wasn’t just an act of aggression. It was a message.

“That wasn’t just some street stunt,” Antonio muttered, turning to Cynthia, his voice edged with steel. “It was a warning shot.”

He paused, his gaze darkening. “That bastard’s not just trying to scare us. He’s playing the long game. This whole thing is a setup for something far bigger.”

Antonio didn’t reveal everything. The truth was darker, bloodier. He didn’t want to burden Cynthia with the weight of it, not yet.

Cynthia shot him a glance, her hands steady on

“I wanted to,” he said. But the truth was far from noble.Harry knew there was no partnership to salvage. He had been completely blacklisted by Bellagio. Yet instead of admitting defeat, Harry flipped the narrative. By making it look like he had sacrificed his seat at the table for Elaine’s benefit, Elaine would believe that he gave up a lucrative, promising deal because he cared and that would make her feel indebted. She would at least see him as a generous, loyal figure in her orbit.Secondly, if Green Deal ended up still working with Bellagio through restructured channels, Harry could always claim it was because of his help, his contacts, his referrals. He could bask in reflected glory, despite being cast out.Elaine was quiet now, clearly overwhelmed, however, deep in her heart, she doubted Harry had that kind of influence. She tilted her head and squinted at Harry with a half-smile playing on her lips. “Come on, Harry. You really expect me to believe you have that kind of pull w

Pushing the thoughts aside, Cynthia asked Antonio to come along with her, to her firm, Ardent Core Innovations.Meanwhile, across the minimalist office lounge Harry sat beside Elaine with eyes glued to Elaine’s buzzing phone. It had been a long month of proposals, meetings, and late-night planning, and the fruits of their labor now hung on one final decision—the potential partnership with Bellagio Group!Elaine was optimistic and full of quiet confidence. Her company, Green Deal Solutions, had recently surged in both visibility and value. The collaboration with Bellagio Group, if confirmed, would give them the logistics infrastructure they needed to scale their sustainable energy initiative across the region. It was a game-changer.Harry, on the other hand, was more animated and even jittery. He’d spent weeks trying to secure his own separate partnership with Bellagio, offering tech distribution services through his floundering firm, Zentrade Enterprises. If Green Deal got the green l

Donald’s hands trembled as he rose to speak, the weight of Antonio’s gaze crushing any confidence he’d once worn like armor. “I… I assure you, Mr. Antonio,” he stammered, eyes darting around the room as if searching for someone—anyone—to intervene, “this has all been a misunderstanding. The numbers—there must be some error in the ledger—” SLAM. Antonio brought the folder crashing down on the polished marble table, the sharp crack silencing Langford mid-sentence and sending an echo reverberating through the boardroom like a thunderclap. “Do you think I’m an idiot?” Antonio snapped, his voice low and dangerous. Donald flinched. Antonio’s eyes narrowed. “Don’t insult me. Don’t waste my time. There are no errors. No glitches! Just your greed, and your cowardice.” Donald opened his mouth again, but no words came. Cynthia stepped forward with a chilling precision. “Mr. Langford,” she said coolly, “you will come with me.” Langford only whimpered in response. His knees gave out.

A long marble table stretched through the center of the room, surrounded by leather executive chairs, each occupied by the most powerful figures in the company. Yet, despite their titles and influence, no one spoke. All eyes occasionally flicked to one place—the head of the table which was empty! That seat, grander than the rest, was reserved for only one man - The CEO of Bellagio Group! Every member of the board stood as if on cue. The synchronized sound of chairs sliding back echoed across the room like the arrival of royalty. Antonio walked in. Clad in a sharp charcoal suit, crisp white shirt, and a dark tie that mirrored the seriousness in his eyes, he carried an aura of effortless dominance. No wasted words. No forced presence. Just raw, commanding power! Behind him walked Cynthia, tall, poised, and sleek in her fitted navy pantsuit. Her heels clicked softly against the polished floor, but her presence spoke volumes—professional, precise, and utterly loyal. “Welcome back,

Within seconds, the man swung a crowbar at Antonio. However, before anyone could register what happened, Antonio caught the weapon mid-swing with one hand. With a sharp twist of his wrist, he disarmed the man, then drove a brutal elbow into his chest. The thug dropped like a sack of bricks, gasping for air as he crumpled to the ground like a ragdoll! Another thug lunged from Antonio’s blind side with a chain, aiming for his neck. Antonio ducked fluidly, slammed a palm into the attacker’s knee, and then swept his legs out from under him. The man flipped backward, crashing into the asphalt with a groan. Seeing Antonio defeat their partners, the other thugs became more furious! Two more charged together, one with a pipe, the other with a stun baton. He sidestepped the first, grabbed his collar, and flung him straight into the other. They tumbled to the ground in a heap of groans and tangled limbs. Cynthia watched, rooted to the spot with her mouth slightly ajar. The man she thou
