Antonio stared at it for a moment.

Then, another notification arrived—this one a video.

His thumb hovered over the screen. He hesitated but he pressed it anyway.

The footage was short, vertical, and raw.

The camera wavered slightly, as though held by an unsteady hand or someone who didn’t care enough to keep it still.

In the background, there was a faint echo of footsteps and a dripping pipe.

And then came a male voice.

It was Greg’s.

The image sharpened.

Greg crouched beside Liora with his expensive shirt sleeves rolled to the elbow, his face caught in the dim light.

He looked nothing like the glossy magazine covers that had once idolized him—no practiced smile, no tailored poise. Just the cruel, bare edge of a man stripped of decency.

“Look at her,” Greg whispered, leaning closer to the lens as though the camera were his audience. “You think the world can buy you back after this?”

He smirked faintly, his fingers brushing Liora’s cheek with mock tenderness.

Liora was trembling w

Antonio immediately drew his phone from his pocket, his fingers moving with sharp precision as he tapped in the numbers of his most trusted men. There was no hesitation or second-guessing. “Find her,” Antonio said the moment the call connected. His voice was low, steady, and lethal in its calm. “Every street, every alley, every building. I don’t care how small or hidden the place is. Sweep everything. She has to be found.”He paused, his grip tightening around the phone.“Bring her to me,” he continued. “No mistakes.”“Yes, sir!” one of his men responded immediately, his tone sharp with obedience. “We will get her back.”The line clicked dead.Antonio lowered the phone slowly, his gaze lifting to the hospital entrance before him. The lights glowed cold and unforgiving against the night, and the air felt heavier than before. He began to pace back and forth, his steps measured but restless, his thoughts moving faster than his feet.Time was no longer his ally.Every minute Cynthia

  • Chapter 330

Cynthia stared at the masked man in disbelief, her heart pounding violently in her chest, each beat echoing in her ears as though her body itself was warning her of imminent danger.“Accept the person you will give me?” she repeated slowly, her voice shaking—not with fear alone, but with raw, burning anger. “That will never happen.”The words rang sharply in the dim room, cutting through the silence like glass.“I am already engaged,” Cynthia continued, lifting her chin even as her hands trembled. Her eyes blazed with defiance. “I’ve told you that already. You can threaten me, trap me, or intimidate me, but I will never accept anyone you choose for me.”For a long moment, no one spoke. The air felt thick, suffocating, as if the walls themselves were listening. The single bulb above flickered faintly, casting distorted shadows across the room.Robert Adams stood completely still, his masked face revealing nothing. Behind the dark covering and altered voice, his gaze was sharp. He had

  • Chapter 329

His words echoed endlessly in her mind.Get married. The condition made no sense to her. What did marriage have to do with what was happening? Why would agreeing to marry someone suddenly erase everything—the threats, the fear, the captivity? What benefit could it possibly bring to them? And more importantly, what was he trying to achieve? Her chest tightened as confusion battled with dread. She had faced danger before, but this—this was twisted, calculated, and deeply personal. The way the man spoke made it clear that this wasn’t just about power or intimidation. There was something else beneath it all.Cynthia lowered her head, staring at the floor. Her wrists ached from where they had been tied earlier, and exhaustion weighed heavily on her body. She didn’t know how long she had been there, but she knew one thing clearly—if she didn’t find a way out, things would only get worse.I need to be safe, she thought. I need to leave this place alive. The door creaked open. The man st

  • Chapter 328

The man’s voice grew colder than before.“You bitch! You are going to pay for everything you’ve done.”Cynthia lifted her head slowly, her heartbeat thundering in her ears so loudly she was certain he could hear it. Each pulse echoed with fear, confusion, and disbelief. Her body felt heavy, as though the weight of his words had pressed her deeper into the floor beneath her.Her eyes searched his face, desperate to recognize even the smallest detail—a scar, a familiar gaze, anything that might tell her who stood before her. But it was useless. A dark mask covered him completely, smooth and impenetrable, hiding every trace of identity. Even his eyes were concealed behind tinted lenses that reflected nothing back at her, as if he were less a man and more a shadow given form. She swallowed hard and strained to listen more closely, hoping his voice might betray him. But even that offered no comfort. It sounded distorted, mechanical, altered in a way that made it impossible to trace it

  • Chapter 327

Cynthia’s brows knitted together as she tightened her grip on her phone.“What is it, Laura? Is it about my mom?” she asked, her voice low but tense. The hospital corridor around her was quiet, filled with the distant hum of machines and the soft footsteps of nurses moving from room to room.“I can’t explain on the phone,” Laura replied quickly. Her voice sounded rushed, almost strained. “Just come outside. I’m right in front of the hospital, near the parking area.”Cynthia hesitated. She glanced back toward the ward where her mother lay, her chest tightening with worry. Something about Laura’s tone felt wrong—too sharp, and too urgent—but the mention of coming outside, coupled with her anxiety about her mother, pushed her doubts aside.“Okay, I’m coming,” Cynthia said at last. She slipped her phone into her bag and hurried down the hallway. Her steps echoed faintly as she passed empty chairs and dim corners of the hospital, the fluorescent lights casting pale reflections on the p

  • Chapter 326

Antonio had begun the cultivation, focusing on the energy that surged from the relic, letting it guide his thoughts, expand his senses, and strengthen his body and mind. The room seemed to shrink around him as he felt himself entering a heightened state, attuned to forces he had never experienced before. He was tracing faint lines of energy, learning to channel the hidden power that had been waiting in his bloodline, waiting for him to awaken. The cultivation was demanding, but he welcomed it. Every nerve in his body tingled as he felt his awareness sharpen, senses becoming acutely attuned to even the slightest shift in his surroundings. Then, suddenly, his phone rang. The vibration cut through the growing stillness of his concentration like an alarm bell. Antonio opened his eyes and grabbed the phone. His heart sank immediately as he saw Cynthia's name flashing across the screen. He picked up quickly, the momentary calm of his cultivation shattered. “Antonio!” Cynt
