"There is absolutely something crawling directly above our heads, Mr. Zac," Vance whispered in absolute panic, pointing a violently trembling finger toward the ceiling of the medical warehouse. The technician gripped a flashlight tightly, its beam shaking wildly. The harsh white light swept frantically across the severely rusted steel support beams of the roof. The incredibly potent, metallic stench of fresh blood pooling from the squad captain’s corpse—which was currently being actively chewed apart by the muscled monster—permeated the air thickly. The pungent odor seeped rapidly outward through the building’s ventilation gaps, aggressively inviting brand-new, lethal threats straight from the skies above Force City. The distinctly terrifying sound of razor-sharp claws violently scraping against the corrugated iron roof echoed loudly. The screeching noise moved in a tight, calculated circle, actively searching for the absolute weakest point of entry, exactly resembling a starving apex

  • Chapter 40. The Death of the Captive

The silver scalpel blade violently sliced through the air, generating a lethal flash beneath the harsh glare of the neon lights. Zac did not afford the commander a single fraction of a second to utter a final prayer. The razor-sharp metal tip pierced cleanly through the skin of his neck, completely severing the carotid artery and the jugular vein simultaneously in one smooth, absolutely precise pull.Bright red blood spurted aggressively, closely resembling a pressurized fountain. The warm, thick liquid heavily soaked Zac's medical coat, stained the steel operating table, and pooled massively on the concrete floor."That is the initial payment for the home you burned to the ground," Zac whispered with freezing coldness, staring dead straight into his captive's fading eyes. The Scorpion clan squad captain widened his eyes to impossible proportions. His jaw unhinged, desperately attempting to gasp for oxygen, but only thick, clotted blood flooded down his throat. His burly body conv

  • Chapter 39. The Symphony of Screaming Nerves

"Just kill me, you insane demon! Take my life right now!"The squad captain's deafening shriek echoed violently. The hoarse, ragged sound aggressively shook the steel walls of the medical warehouse, completely overpowering the loud hum of the diesel generator running in the basement.Zac held the serrated forceps tightly in his left hand. The razor-sharp metal tips smoothly slipped deep into the open slice of flesh on the captain's arm. Bright red muscle fibers and fresh blood were meticulously pushed aside, flawlessly clearing a direct path to a pale white, incredibly delicate strand. That delicate strand was a pure, highly concentrated peripheral nerve network."Death is an absolute luxury you do not yet deserve, Captain," Zac whispered incredibly softly. His chilling voice stood in stark, terrifying contrast to his captive's desperate screams. "I still have not heard the answer to my question. Exactly where is your family's central laboratory located?"The man bearing the scorpion

  • Chapter 38. Preparation for the Torture Surgery

"You are completely wasting your time, you insane doctor. I would much rather bite my own tongue completely off than surrender a single name to you."The squad captain's hoarse voice shattered the freezing silence of the medical warehouse. The man bearing the scorpion tattoo lay flat on his back, securely strapped to the heavy steel operating table. Both of his legs and his left arm were bound incredibly tightly by thick leather restraints. His shattered right arm was left entirely unbound, dangling helplessly off the edge of the table, steadily dripping fresh blood onto the concrete floor. His breathing was rapid and ragged, yet his eyes continuously glared up at Zac, overflowing with pure, unyielding defiance.Zac utterly ignored the cheap threat. He strolled calmly toward a metal instrument table situated in the corner of the room.A glass bottle containing high-proof medical-grade alcohol was popped open with a soft clink. Zac poured the clear liquid generously over his palms.

  • Chapter 37. Subjugation of the Commander

"Damn you, you crippled demon!"The squad captain's agonized scream echoed violently, slicing right through the remaining plumes of white smoke drifting across the warehouse courtyard. The main tendon in his right thigh had been cleanly and entirely severed. The burly leg tightly wrapped in tactical pants was now completely reduced to nothing more than a useless, paralyzed lump of meat. The man bearing the scorpion tattoo collapsed heavily, crashing face-first onto the unforgiving asphalt. Fresh blood poured out profusely, rapidly staining the puddles of cement dust into a thick, pitch-black red mud.Zac strolled casually out from behind the veil of smoke. The thick gunpowder smoke seemingly parted around him, explicitly avoiding the genius doctor's body. His filthy medical coat flapped gently, rustled by the cold morning sea breeze. He nimbly twirled his silver scalpel using his left index finger, casually flicking the captain's remaining blood onto the asphalt."Initial diagnosi

  • Chapter 36. A Blade Through the Smoke

The silver flash violently sliced through the air with absolute, unerring precision. The mafia soldier actively sprinting toward the trunk of the armored jeep never even had a single fraction of a second to turn his head. The razor-sharp blade of the silver scalpel struck true, piercing perfectly straight through the base of his neck from behind.Blood spurted forcefully outward, instantly staining the trunk door of the vehicle. The soldier dropped the grenade from his hand, choking violently on his own blood before his body slumped rigidly onto the asphalt."Shoot that shadow hiding behind the dust right now!" The squad captain shrieked in utter panic, wildly spewing bullets from his automatic assault rifle. "He is absolutely not a normal human! Protect the armored vehicle perimeter!"Live, armor-piercing rounds whizzed wildly through the air, aggressively pulverizing whatever remained of the concrete walls. The gunpowder smoke billowed incredibly thick, heavily mixing with the ce
