BOUND BY TRADITION

Chapter 4

Everyone in the room hears Maria's voice, then they all look at Thompson.

Maria stands in front of Thompson, her hands put on her hips, the air disdains.

“You are not afraid to dirty our ground here. All we have here is something you can't buy for the rest of your life. If you ever dirty anything here, you won't have the means to reward us.”

Thompson frowns and replies coldly:

“How is it written that no one can visit here?”

“How, if a rich person can visit here, do you think you can do it too? Don't forget that you're just a big zero, a good one, everyone knows it. You must thank me for talking to you politely.” Maria says arrogantly.

Thompson pouts, he never appreciated Maria who judges others by their appearances. In addition, he became the president of the Corecloud Land Company. Maria treats customers according to their appearance. This attitude will certainly affect the company's business. He absolutely cannot let this kind of person stay at the company.

“If you treat customers with this attitude, I'm afraid you won't be able to keep your position.” Says Jack coldly.

Always full of contempt for Jack, when Maria hears these words, she bursts out laughing.

“Everyone, come and see. This useless saying that I have a bad attitude, and that my workstation cannot be kept. I'm laughing!”

The people on site, most of whom are Maria's colleagues, surround them. They have just started working, so there are few customers.

Maria looks at Jack. She wants to hear everyone laugh at Thompson again, in order to show her superiority. After all, at her age she holds the position of director in the Corecloud Land Company, and she is already very excellent compared to her classmates.

Compared to garbage like Jack, she feels very capable.

She even dreams that the new president will fall in love as soon as he sees her and marries her. But she is also afraid that the new president will see Jack , so that she says to him:

“Have you heard, our new president will come today. Don't stay here, if you bother our new president, you can't take responsibility.”

That said, she advances towards Jack and pulls her clothes to propel him.

Jack remains motionless, staring at Maria with a cold look.

“Are you deaf? Have I asked you out?” Says Maria, furious.

“This company belongs to me, why do I have to go out?” Thompson answers her back.

“Are you crazy or what? I think you're so depressed about your social situation that you're going crazy. You say that this company belongs to you, but why don't you also say that you are the eldest son of a super rich and influential family? Poor Jack, stop being delirious, you're just good for nothing. Leave this place now.” Said Maria, considering him an idiot.

“Whether I dream or not, you will know it right away,” Thompson said calmly.

Everyone holds him extremely bravenly for saying that this company belongs to him and staying there.

Seeing that Jack does not want to move, Maria is anxious, she is afraid that he will cause trouble to the new president later, so she hastily calls some security guards.

“It's him. He comes here to cause disorder and claims to be our boss. Catch him quickly!” Maria says, points to Thompson and says angrily.

Security officers look at Thompson and find that he doesn't look like a boss, so they walk towards him and want to catch him. Thompson squints and looks at them, already clenches a fist.

At this moment, Marcel comes out of the toilet and sees that several security guards are about to reach Jack, his face changes color with fear.

He rushes towards them and screams.

“What are you doing ? Stop!”

At the sight of her CEO, Maria quickly told to Marcel:

“Mr. CEO, this guy is well-known for nothing at River City. He goes crazy and says that the company belongs to him. Today is the day the new president takes office. We fear that he will offend the new president, so we must throw him out.”

“In fact, this guy was my classmate in high school. I think he is jealous of me for what I have achieved in my life and he comes here to create problems. Fortunately, I saw it in time, otherwise it would certainly cause a lot of problems here.” Maria continues she seemed to want to be rewarded.

After listening to her, Marcel's mind darkened. And then, without a word, he raises his hand and gives Maria a famous slap.

“Damn, he is the new president of our company. He's coming here to take a walk. You say he's crazy and you want to chase him away. You don't want to live?” Said Marcel with anger.

Listening to him, Maria is petrified and the others are in shock.

“He... is he the new president? How could this be possible? He’s good for nothing in City River,” says Maria, she doesn't believe her ears.

“You're the one who's good for nothing and you don't see anything!” Says Marcel,who is so angry that he almost tore Maria's mouth.

He turns around and bows to Jack.

“Mr. President, I really didn't expect them to treat you like that. It's all my fault. Please penalize me.

Thompson shook his head. He looks at Maria and says:

“It is not you who must be punished, but presumptuous people.The company must treat its customers on an equal footing. Those who despise others like her, must be dismissed as soon as possible.”
