“It is, it is not possible..”

Maria looks at Jack with a lost air. Until then, she cannot yet believe that this good-for-nothing from her school is now the president of here.

She will be promoted to the teacher in charge of the class, it's an honor for her. She even promised her family to invite all parents next week to boast of her success.

However, it's all over because of her arrogance. Now, she will miss not only her promotion, but also her current position.

“Jack, it's my fault, I was very arrogant. I didn't have to talk to you like that. Forgive me, for the love of comrade!” Maria pleads to him.

Marcel takes a strong look at her and says in a cold voice:

“ If it had to be done again! You deserve it! Guard! Chase her away!”

Not daring to delay, the guards rush to grab Maria's arm, and make her leave the hall.

The rest of the people look at Jack with a palpitating heart, it's obvious that they regret it.

Jack looks at them and says:

“Who made fun of me earlier with Maria, must do self-criticism and have a half-deducted salary!”

“And in addition, do not tell anyone that I am the new president of the Corecloud Land Company, otherwise we will exclude ourselves right away. Is that clear?”

“Yes!”

Everyone responds without any opposition.

After that, Jack is no longer in the mood to visit the company. He gives orders to Marcel and leaves the room.

The crowd accompanies him respectfully. Watching Jack leave on a very worn electric bicycle, they are very impressed.

“The new president is really discreet.”

“He is the authentic master! He must show us that great men do not take trifles to heart. Learn yourself! OK?” Says Marcel, with veneration.

Everyone nods their heads.

…..

On his way home, Jack is in a good mood. He will suggest Melissa to buy the building of Corecloud.

All of a sudden, he sees Jeremy and Sonia surreptitiously entering a cafe, looking like thieves.

Curiosity seizes him. In general, when these two appear at the same time, it is always to embarrass Melissa. Wanting to know what they are going to do, he parks his electric bicycle by the side of the road, hides his face a little, and follows them to the cafe.

He is sitting against Jeremy and Sonia, at a table near them. In order not to be recognised, he hides his face with a newspaper.

Jeremy and Sonia's voices are not high, but Jack can hear them clearly.

“Jeremy, why are you looking for me in a hurry?” Sonia asks him in full doubt.

“Of course it's for something, and in addition, it's a good thing. I'm sure you'll be interested!” Says Jeremy, with a smart smile.

“So, what is it?” She asks curiously.

“You've always hated Melissa, haven't you? This time I have a great idea to eliminate her. She will absolutely lose all of Grandpa's affections, and even leave our family right away,” says Jeremy, all excited.

Sonia's eyes light up:

“Tell me, what is this good idea?”

Jack raises his ear too. He says to himself that these two are really bad, that they indeed come together to embarrass Melissa.

“Grandfather wants to buy a building, he finds a place for the Corecloud Land Company to his liking. But this large company despises small companies like our Decastro Group. In addition, the building cost thirteen million, our grandfather offered only eight million, so it remained unsuccessful.”

“You know that our grandfather is so persistent, he sometimes urges me to negotiate with Corecloud, and I have already been there several times. But I couldn't even see the president.”

“So, I decided to send the case back to Melissa and have her negotiate it herself. It's already difficult for me, it will naturally be impossible for her. If she misses it, it's the chance for us to hunt her.”

After listening to Jeremy's ideas, Sonia suspects, she asks:

“So how to send the case back to Melissa? She's not so stupid.”

“I have already inquired. She is ashamed to have borrowed money from grandfather at the banquet, so she will take the office building to compensate for it. Although she hasn't said it yet, the noise is running. We unite parents, accuse her definitively, she doesn't think about running away from it.” Jeremy explains it.

Sonia smiles immediately, praising that it is a good achievable idea.

“Melissa, this female bitch has exceeded me all the time since my childhood. I hated her at first. This faith, I will absolutely exclude it from our family.” Sonia talks to herself.

“You're right. And Jack Thompson, the scrap. I will do my best.” Jeremy squints his eyes too.

“The case does not suffer from any delay, we are going to see grandfather now.

As soon as they have finished the discussion, they leave the Café.

Jack puts down the newspaper slowly, with a thread of cold light in his eyes, and a mocking smile rising from his mouth.

“These two fools are thinking of intriguing against my wife? Ridiculous!”

……

On the way home with the electric bicycle, Melissa says to Jack:

Get yourself ready, grandfather informs that everyone gathers at his home for a family conference.

Jack, surprised, thinks that Jeremy and Sonia act very quickly. If he is not mistaken, the theme of this family conference will be the purchase of the office building.

He nods his head, ready to change clothes.

At that moment, Cindy Morin looks at him with big eyes:

“It's not worth it. It's the Decastro family conference, you don't have to go. After all, you always prevent us.”

Melissa frowns:

“Mom, Jack is my husband, he is part of Decastro. Why do you prohibit him from participating?”

“What stupidity! Don't forget what he did at your grandfather's banquet. How dare you?”

Melissa moves her mouth, but she doesn't say anything to Cindy. She said to Jack:

“Prepare quickly.”

Jack nods his head, then he enters the room to change clothes.

Although Cindy doesn't stop insulting him, Melissa leaves with Jack anyway.

In Decastros’ villa, Melissa's family goes inside. The house is already full of people, Patrick sat on the sofa in the center.

When Melissa's family arrives, people exchange their looks, a cold smile rises on their faces.

With a mocking air, Sonia says to herself:

“Melissa, you'll see. You're done!"

As they neared the ranch, the sight of cowboys working in the fields caught their attention. The vast property was even more impressive in person. Cindy’s eyes widened in disbelief, and for the first time that evening, she was rendered speechless.“This…this is incredible,” Cindy muttered. “I didn’t realize Logan Smith was this wealthy.”Melissa was equally impressed, though she tried to hide it. Jack, however, remained unfazed. He glanced out the window, taking in the view with mild interest. To him, wealth and grandeur weren’t foreign concepts. What he didn’t know was that his own family’s wealth far surpassed anything the Smiths possessed. But that was a story for another day. When they finally arrived, the Decastros were gathered near the entrance, chatting and laughing. Master Lemaire was the first to approach, his face lighting up as he saw Melissa step out of the car.“Melissa, my most hardworking granddaughter,” he said proudly, pulling her into a hug. “I’ve told Felipe all ab

It was already 6 p.m. when the Decastros arrived at the Smiths’ luxurious ranch. The first car to pull into the expansive driveway belonged to Sonia, her mother Diana, Jeremy, and Master Lemaire Decastro himself. The Smith ranch was breathtaking—sprawling acres of land bordered with manicured gardens, white picket fences, and distant stables that added to the air of wealth and status. The golden glow of the evening sun bathed the estate, creating an almost cinematic backdrop as the Decastro family stepped out of their sleek black car.Master Lemaire, despite his age, moved with an air of authority. As soon as they reached the grand entrance, he gave a hearty laugh and stepped forward to embrace his long-time friend Felipe Smith. Felipe, seated in his electric wheelchair, beamed as he raised his arms to meet Lemaire’s embrace. The two men, though physically different—one standing tall and the other confined to his chair—shared a camaraderie that was evident even in their gestures. Lema

The sun hung low in the sky, signaling the end of another day. Melissa walked into her home earlier than usual, brushing her hair back as she made her way through the wide corridors. The faint aroma of fresh pastries wafted from the kitchen, and a soft hum of activity filled the air. She was surprised to see Cindy sitting casually in the living room, her legs crossed, sipping on a glass of lemonade.“Good evening,” Melissa greeted politely, setting her bag down on the table.Cindy’s head snapped up, her eyes narrowing as a sly smirk curved her lips. “Oh, you’re home early,” she said, her tone dripping with sarcasm. “You might want to freshen up quickly—we have dinner at the Smiths’ ranch tonight.”Melissa froze mid-step, her brow furrowing. “Dinner at the Smiths’? I didn’t hear about this.”Cindy leaned back in her chair, her smirk widening. “Of course, you didn’t. Important things are rarely discussed with you, Melissa. But don’t worry, I’m telling you now. Just make sure you don’t e

The afternoon sun filtered through the grand windows of the Decastro estate, casting warm, golden light across the polished marble floors. Master Lemaire Decastro, the patriarch of the family, sat in his favorite leather chair in the living room, a faint smile on his face. His composure exuded authority, yet there was a rare twinkle in his eyes that hinted at excitement.“Suzzy,” Master Lemaire called, his deep voice reverberating through the spacious mansion.A moment later, Suzzy, the household manager, appeared at the doorway. “Yes, sir?”“Summon everyone who is still home,” he instructed. “I want them in the living room immediately.”Suzzy nodded and hurried off to carry out his orders. Soon enough, Sonia, her mother Diana, and Louis, Jeremy’s father, made their way into the living room. They were the only ones present at home, as Jeremy had gone to the Decastro enterprise for the day.“Where’s Jeremy?” Master Lemaire asked, glancing around the room.“He’s at the office,” Diana re

The sun streamed through the large windows of the Smith ranch’s grand sitting room, casting warm golden hues over the polished wood floors. Felipe Smith maneuvered his electric wheelchair to a more comfortable spot by the fireplace. Though age and injury had confined him to the chair, his commanding presence had not diminished. He looked up as Logan, his eldest son, strode into the room, carrying an air of quiet confidence.“You’re late,” Felipe teased, the corners of his lips twitching into a smile.“Blame the horses,” Logan replied, setting his hat down on a nearby table. “They’re more demanding than usual.”Felipe chuckled. “That’s the way of life on a ranch. Always something to tend to.”Logan settled into an armchair opposite his father, his expression relaxed. It had been a week since his last visit to the Decastro estate, but the memories of that day still lingered. Felipe studied his son, noticing the contemplative look in his eyes.“Logan,” Felipe began, breaking the silence.

As Eve and Valentina walked into the house, the cool air-conditioning provided a stark contrast to the blazing sun outside. The Thompson estate was as grand inside as it was outside, filled with luxurious furnishings, chandeliers dripping with crystals, and gleaming marble floors. The walls were adorned with exquisite artwork and framed family photographs, each one seemingly more elegant than the last.Eve’s heels clicked sharply against the floor as she led Valentina down the grand hallway, pointing out various details of the home. “This is the main living room,” she said casually, gesturing toward a vast space with plush couches and towering bookshelves. “And over there is the dining hall. We’ve hosted some of River City’s most influential people here.”Valentina nodded politely, her eyes scanning the room. “It’s as beautiful as I remember,” she said with a small smile. “I used to play hide-and-seek with Jack in this very hallway. I remember once he hid behind that curtain and scare
