“Our dear classmate just rode in here with an electric bike, initially I thought it was due to the inconveniences to get a packing space that caused him to use a bike but after wearing a high earned suit, he unexpectedly forgot about his shoes. What an embarrassment.”

“Is it that you bought this suit on discount somewhere? Because looking at it, it is evident that you haven't even removed the label, probably you have to return it after the school reunion?"

" I think it's not that bad,” someone said. But Maxwell cut in immediately.

“Also, it's clear that he hasn't changed that pair of slippers for years"

" Exactly my thoughts”

The whole class started gossiping about him until one of them, a friend he helped back then in school, decided to speak up.

“And so what? Even if he is dressed in a weird manner, do we have to make a joke of him? Aren't we all classmate"

Maxwell move towards him and brought out the tag and said

“Mira, do you still want to help him? He is wearing a suit worth tens of thousands and yet cannot buy a pair of shoes? It is quite evident that he stole it from the Dabby family for this occasion and intends to return it after use. It is no longer news in the whole of Bredon city that you are a live-in-son-in-law.”

Danvers pushed his hand off his shoulder with a cold glare.

" What now? Do you want to cause a scene after being exposed? Or do you want to tell me they belong to you! Well if actually they do, I will crawl before you and apologize”

Danvers was about to reply to him when his phone rang. He quickly took out an old Motorola phone tied with a rubber band. He has been using this phone for years.

“Look at the kind of phone he is using and he has the guts to wear such an expensive suit to show off? What an irony!"

A classmate said,but he did not take their gossip to heart. He quickly rushed to answer the phone only to hear the voice of an angry woman at the other end of the phone.

“Danvers, are you mad? Don't you remember that today is Lady Dabby's birthday celebration? Get your ass back here immediately. Do not keep us waiting, we can't afford to be late for a spineless worm like yourself.”

“You are really a live-in-son-in-law. See the way you are being scolded for attending a school reunion"

Danvers completely forgot about the birthday party he should have left there before now.

“It looks like his mother-in-law is scolding him to come back home and do the chores. Indeed poverty stifles a man, even if you hit me to death I would never allow a woman talk to me in such manner”

“Okay you need to hurry up and leave. pets like you are not welcomed here”

“I will deal with you"

“You can't do nothing," Maxwell replied.

He spoke and walked up to Wendy. My dear do not let someone like this ruin your mood. In an attempt to show off, Maxwell began to brag.

“I am the general manager at grants production Ltd and as a means to show my happiness to see you all here today I am going to order the most expensive wine one for each table but Danvers is obviously not going to be a part of it.”

Upon hearing Grants production Ltd, Danvers smiles within his cheek. He remembered they desperately wanted to cooperate with the champions, so he took out his phone and sent a message to his uncle. Adding to the two conditions, look into Maxwell of Grants production Ltd’s wealth. I want nothing left to his name within the next two hours. I need the results sent to my phone.

“Let me see how you take care of what you just ordered”.

He smiled and quickly got on his electric bike and sped off. Even though he was far off, he could hear his mates laughing at him.

At the gate of a beautiful middle class house, he saw a Land Rover packed outside with a beautiful aged woman leaning by it looking at her phone in an inpatient manner.

“Sorry I am late but nevertheless I am here now” he said riding towards

Rhina, he packed his Bike. He could see how beautiful she looked after wearing the worship of wrists. It shows that she loved it so much and couldn't wait to wear them. This piece of jewelry was enough to bring out the hidden beauty of any lady, talk less of Rhina who was already beautiful, she definitely looked like a goddess at this point.

However Rhina did not reciprocate Danvers' smile. Rather she warned Danvers seriously. “Today is Lady Dabby's 70ths birthday. I do hope you got something as a gift for her and not just any kind of gift. Secondly I am warning you to keep quiet do not go there and disgrace me as always"

"Ok,” Danver replied.

He had not even packed his bike properly when another complaint came rushing.

“Danvers, don't you have a pair of shoes, don't you know it will be so embarrassing to wear such on your feets to the occasion? I guess you were waiting for Us to get one for you. Lazy bone” Margaret said coldly avoiding not to ruin her makeup.

Danvers made his way through into the care without saying a word. This single behavior of his made Margaret charge up in anger.

“Don't pretend like you can't hear me, are you deaf? The singular act of me letting you Marry my daughter is what I will forever live to regret"

“Mum please calm down, we can't do anything at this point" Rhina said and started the car engine.

“Why won't I be?”

Tonight is your last to be identified as a member of this family. First thing tomorrow morning, both of you are going to the registry to process and sign the divorce papers. Do I make myself clear?"
