Minutes later, the head butler guided Benjamin to the nearby bedroom, and he knocked before hearing Theresa's voice come in.

Inside the bedroom, Benjamin could see Theresa giggling with five young maids kneeling by the foot of a wide couch next to the single floor-to-ceiling window.

Theresa herself was seated on the couch while there were stacks of outfits around her, along with boxes of necklaces and bracelets for women.

Benjamin couldn't help but feel his heart lighten immensely at the bright sight of his smiling grandmother. She genuinely looked happy right now.

“I see you're having fun, Grandma. Am I welcome to join?”

At the top familiar voice, Theresa jerked her head up at the entrance to find her grandson in an exquisite but “Benjy, you're finally here!” She jumped off her couch and ran towards him.

Benjamin took quick steps forward as well, meeting his old woman in the middle with a warm hug and a chuckle.

“Calm down, Grandma. You're acting like we haven't seen each other in a

Uriel scoffed as he turned to face Henry and Juliana.“What is this? You're quite the persistent pest, aren't you? It seems that you haven't learned anything from the humiliation you were dealt at the foyer. Otherwise, why will you be contributing to me?”He placed a hand on his chin.“Your destination for some form of victory is quite admirable, but your fire is heavily misplaced.”Henry had a bitter expression on his face momentarily. He didn't like being reminded of the rounds of embarrassment he got, with the highest burn being from Manager Rowley who treated him like dirt while treating Uriel with actual courtesy.Still, Henry knew this was not the time to get overly emotional. Thus, he managed to calm himself and gave a cruel smirk instead.“Look, I just wish to know one thing. Those bodyguards behind you, where did you get them? Or rather, who permitted you to borrow them? They were able to go toe to toe with the tower manager’s fearsome bodyguards. I refuse to believe someone

Uriel calmly handed her the piece of paper to Rowley McKlin. The old man opened it, and he frowned at the content neatly written on it.[Child of the great master's Son. Rowley of the McKlin family, I speak with the weighted rights of the family you served. Uriel Scott is with me. Disrespecting him is disrespecting me.]It was understandable that Rowley was initially confused by this message, but the fact that it was directed straight to him showed that this person knew for a fact that he would be the one to receive this, which meant that he had great intelligence. Perhaps, a great deductive intellect. But that wasn’t the freaky part.It took the old man a couple of seconds to realize what that first line meant and he gasped as his eyes widened in shock.“Child of the great master's son! Goodness, could it be……”He suddenly stopped himself as he was getting excited just now, blurting out his words. He noticed that whoever wrote this message didn't go straight to the point, and was ra

Henry knew that he was now being cornered. If he dares to hold on to his lies, he will eventually be found out, and then there will be no turning back for him. By then, he will have no choice but to endure the humiliation of being thrown out of the tower, and possibly banned for life. This won't bode well for Aurora's Refinery's reputation in the future. There was so much on the line right now, so Henry couldn't afford to hold onto his ego.He cleared his throat.“Um, you see, actually….. the altercation between Uriel and the security guard took me and everyone here by surprise. So it is possible that I may have mentioned some wrong details in the report. There's no amount of wording that could cover the fact that Henry is a liar.Still, he had managed to duck away from being thrown out by admitting that he had lied within the account he gave to Manager Rowley McKlin.Rowley scoffed at Henry before turning to Uriel.“Based on everything, it seems my town, Tower, owes you an apology.

  • Chapter 389

Everyone turned to find a robust man with white hair and a beard walking their way. Behind him are around thirty men and women dressed as bodyguards, being led by a woman with a stoic expression on her face.“What is going on here?! Why is there a ruckus inside the tower?! And on such a special day?! Is this how you grace the town Tower with your presence?!”This man spoke with a somewhat rude tone, glaring at every single guest before him with little to no regard in his eyes. This is the manager of Levi's Screen Town Tower, Rowley McKlin. The crowd began whispering to themselves about this man, which allowed Uriel to recognize him by name. As it stands, Benjamin had told him about this manager as well.Trusting every single detail Benjamin has given him thus far, Uriel had no fear of how to deal with this man as well. Uriel adjusted his suit and was about to initiate a handshake when Henry elbowed him a bit as he basically raced past him to speak to the tower manager first.“Manage

Henry approached Uriel with a look of disdain.“I have to say, Uriel. For a former beggar such as yourself, you've really elevated in life. I wonder how you did it?”The crowd began another round of whispers once they heard Henry's words.“Wait, the heir to Aurora's Refinery knows this Uriel guy?”“I'm just as shocked as you are. But why did he call Uriel a former beggar?”Uriel knew what Henry was trying to do. The way he had dealt with the outer security guards had left a deep impression on the hearts of these powerful spectators. Therefore, Henry is trying to bring up his humiliating past in an attempt to neutralize this domineering image that he had just built up.The goal: to destroy the mighty image with a humiliating past before it solidifies in the hearts of people.Unfortunately for Henry, Uriel had no intention of remaining a pushover. That past was due to his unfortunate circumstances. With such a disadvantageous disposition out of his life, he has nothing to fear.“And I

  • Chapter 387

“Take this fool and his bodyguards down!”The security guard surrounding Uriel and his masked bodyguards all replied in unison.“Yes, Sir!”As the battle ensued, there were two cases of attack that were initiated by the security guards. There are the security guards who hold up their fists or even batons, with the intention of physically assaulting the masked bodyguards first before tasing them. As for the other security guards, they immediately pulled the trigger of their taser, unwilling to waste time fighting these mashed bodyguards. In both astonishment and horror, neither side of the security guards ended up successful with their attacks. For the group of security guards who attempted to fight with their fists first before using their tasers, it was quite embarrassing for them. As soon as they engaged with the masked bodyguards in hand-to-hand combat, they immediately learned that these masked men were martial arts experts. In fact, their proficiency in martial arts was at a v
