A loud knock on his door had Eli sitting up. He groaned as he stretched his hand to retrieve his phone, checking what the time was and if he had gotten a call, maybe Aurelius had a change of mind and decided to call him back.

A not so audible gasp escaped his throat as he saw how late it had gotten, followed by a defeated sigh that he really didn’t receive any call.

The loud continuous knocking brought a frown to his face as he struggled to organize his thoughts. Then a thought passed through his mind making him worry, what if Roy was here to tell him that they had moved the day forward for the demolition and he needed to leave now. He still hadn’t achieved anything, what was he going to do if that was the case.

Doing a sign of the cross as if in prayer he stood up from the bed, deciding hiding away in the room wasn’t going to stop their demolition if that was what the noise and chaos was about.
