The night air was thick with smoke and gunpowder.

Dino’s grip on Elena tightened as Sanchez stepped forward, his polished boots crunching against the gravel. His men formed a deadly wall behind him, guns gleaming under the dim warehouse floodlights.

But Sanchez’s focus wasn’t on Dino.

It was on Isabella.

His cold, reptilian eyes raked over her, filled with something between amusement and mockery.

“You came all this way,” Sanchez mused, shaking his head. “And for what, Isabella? To watch your golden boy crawl out of the fire while your other son burns?”

Isabella stood her ground, though her chest felt like it had been crushed under a thousand weights.

Alejandro.

Somewhere under that pile of burning rubble was her firstborn, the son who had hated her, resented her, but was still her child.

And Sanchez knew that.

He was playing his games again.

“I came to put an end to your madness,” Isabella said, her voice level but sharp as steel.

Sanchez chuckled, a low, sinister sound. “Ah, Isabella

The weight of Sanchez’s words still hung in the air. The room was silent, yet the tension was suffocating. A sister. Dino’s hands twitched with restrained fury. But before he could press further, Elena stepped forward, her eyes burning with a new purpose."You’ve always been a liar, Sanchez," she said, her voice sharp. "But I want to hear you lie about this."Sanchez arched a brow, smug as ever. "And what would that be, princesa?"Elena took a slow step closer. "My mother’s accident. Tell me what really happened."Dino tensed. Her mother’s accident? He had never thought much about it—just another tragic piece of their past. But now, looking at the way Elena’s hands clenched into fists, the fire in her eyes—there was more to it.Sanchez chuckled, the sound grating against the silence. "Oh, that? Why dig up old bones, querida? The past is dead."Elena’s fingers twitched toward her gun, but she held herself back. "You think I don’t know? The way you tormented my father after she died—lik

The revelation had landed like a thunderclap, shaking Dino to his core. The idea of a sister—one he had never known, never even imagined—sent his thoughts spiraling.Yet, the source of this information was the most untrustworthy man alive. Sanchez was a venomous snake, a master of manipulation. If he had a heartbeat left, he would use it to deceive, to control, to twist the truth until it suited his needs. But there was one thing Dino couldn’t ignore—his mother’s silence. She had flinched at Sanchez’s words. That brief moment of hesitation. That flash of guilt in her eyes.It was real.Dino tightened his jaw, turning toward Isabella. “Mami,” he said, his voice gruff, strained with emotion. “Tell me. Is it true?”Isabella’s hands trembled at her sides, her breath unsteady. She blinked, fighting tears, and slowly nodded. “It’s true,” she whispered. The room seemed

"You’re a fool, Alejandro," he spat. "You had the chance to take control, and now you’ve wasted it."Dino gently laid Lorenzo down, his jaw clenching as he turned to face Alejandro. There was no more time for words.Elena stepped back, knowing what was coming. She had seen this rage before. But never like this. Never with this much fire behind Dino’s eyes.Isabella, trembling but defiant, stood beside Elena, watching with a mixture of grief and fear. She had lost one son to Sanchez’s brutality. Now, she was about to lose another—to vengeance.Alejandro straightened, rolling his shoulders. He knew there was no esca

She had aimed for his chest—but had she hit her mark?Dino, already moving, lunged forward. His mind barely processed anything beyond the instinct to reach Elena before Alejandro could retaliate. But Alejandro’s reaction was not what anyone expected.Instead of collapsing to the floor, he laughed.A dark, cruel chuckle that sent shivers up Elena’s spine. He lifted his hand from his shoulder, now drenched in blood, and looked at her with something disturbingly close to admiration. The room was still in chaos as gunfire erupted outside. Dino could hear his reinforcements making their way in, but his focus remained locked on Sanchez, Alejandro, and Isabella.Sanchez, ever the composed puppet master, adjusted his cufflinks and watched the unfolding fight with mild amusement. "It’s funny how history repeats itself, isn’t it, Isabella?" His voice was eerily calm.Isabella, her face pale but determined, met his gaze with nothing but disgust. "You have no right to speak to me."Sanchez only chuckled. "Oh, but I do. Because I’m the only one left who truly knows your sins."Alejandro, still clutching his bleeding shoulder, sneered. "Go on, father. Let’s enlighten my dear brother on where he really came from."Dino’s fists clenched. There was nothing they could say that would shake him. But the look in his mother’s eyes—painful, haunted—made him pause.“Your father was my best man,” Sanchez said smoothly. “I trusted him more than anyone else. He was my shadow, my protect

The explosion had subsided, there was debris scattered across the floor and smoke curling from the broken walls.Dino tightened his grip on Isabella, steadying her as she swayed. The air in the ruined chamber was filled with dust.Lorenzo stood beside him, tense and calculating.Alejandro stood tall, a pistol in his hand, his lips curled into a mocking smirk. Behind him, Sanchez loomed in the shadows, a glass of whiskey in hand, as if watching an entertaining play.Alejandro chuckled, tapping his gun against his palm. “What’s wrong, little brother? Did you really think you could storm in here and take what’s mine?”Dino’s jaw clenched. His mother was not a possession.“You’re a coward, Alejandro,” Dino said coldly. “Always hiding behind your father’s name, his power, his schemes. You never could stand on your own.”Alejandro’s smirk flickered, rage flashing behind his eyes.“You think you’re better than me?” Alejandro’s voice was low, dangerous. “Don’t forget, Dino, we were raised unde

Isabella’s wrists burned against the ropes. Her breathing was shallow, her heart pounding against her ribs. The cold steel chair beneath her was the least of her worries.Across from her, Sanchez leaned back, sipping a glass of whiskey. His smirk was cruel, his gaze sharp with amusement.“You know, Isabella, I always wondered…” He swirled the drink lazily. “How does it feel to have raised a son destined to destroy everything you once loved?”Isabella’s lips pressed into a thin line. “You don’t know anything about my son.”Sanchez chuckled. “Oh, but I do. I trained him. I made him.” He leaned forward, his voice low. “And I will break him.”She clenched her fists. “You think you still have control, but Dino is not like you. He will never be you.”Sanchez exhaled, unfazed. “Then let’s see how far he’s willing to go to prove it.”He gestured to one of his men. A live feed flickered on the screen.Dino and Lorenzo stood in a steel-locked hallway, their path blocked.Sanchez smiled. “The fu

A Family’s ShadowThe night was thick with tension. Dino stood at the head of the war table, his fingers pressing into the polished wood. Maps, blueprints, and surveillance images were spread before him.Elena sat beside him, scanning the images. Lorenzo leaned against the wall, his arms crossed. He looked too comfortable for a man about to march into hell.Tomas tapped his tablet. “We have confirmation. Sanchez is holding Isabella in the underground level of his resort.”Dino exhaled sharply. He had expected as much, but hearing it confirmed made his blood boil.“Security?” Elena asked.“Extreme,” Tomas replied. “Infrared sensors, motion detectors, and guards at every entrance. They want us to walk into a trap.”Lorenzo smirked. “That’s the thing about traps—they work best when the prey doesn’t know it’s coming.”Dino eyed him. “You sound too confident.”Lorenzo shrugged. “I’ve been in that hellhole before.”Elena glanced up, surprised. “You’ve been inside the resort?”Lorenzo’s smir

A single screen illuminated his face, displaying the footage of Lorenzo’s escape.Dino had struck again.Sanchez smirked.“Just like your father,” he murmured.Alejandro stood beside him, arms crossed. His expression was unreadable, but his jaw was tight.“You should have killed Lorenzo when you had the chance,” Alejandro said, his voice low.Sanchez chuckled. “And rob myself of the entertainment? No, my son, I wanted him to run.”Alejandro’s brow furrowed. “You wanted him free?”Sanchez swirled the whiskey in his glass. “I wanted him to lead Dino straight to me.”He turned to Alejandro, eyes gleaming.“Tell me, my son… How does it feel to know your mother chose your enemy?”Alejandro’s fists clenched, but he didn’t respond.Sanchez leaned forward, resting his elbows on the desk.“We have Isab
