The meeting went well, and after it ended, everyone stood to leave, but one of the billionaire businessmen remained. He walked toward Lucas and slightly bowed his head.

“It's nice seeing you, sir, the only son of Derick; it's a miracle.”

Though Lucas doesn't know who was speaking. The man looked the same age as Derick.

“Please, who are you?” Lucas asked softly. Though he had received pleasantries from other businesswomen who were exiting the meeting room, the man's words before him sounded different and seemed as if he had known him better than ever.

“Ooh, I apologize for not introducing myself properly,” the man chuckled, with a short grin before continuing. “My name is Thomas, the sworn owner of the mystics company. I know your father pretty much; may his soul rest in peace.”
