Altair plunged the hunting knife in his hand right into the troll's neck.

Although the hunting knife was of excellent quality, it hadn't pierced his neck at first. Still, Altair wasn't going to stop there.

Again and again, without pause, he had plunged the hunting knife into the troll's neck, into the same spot, nearly fifteen times.

Within a short time, these efforts, this struggle, had been successful.

"UUUUUUGGGG..."

The troll did not scream in pain. Instead, a strange howl, a whimper spread around, and the troll fell forward onto the ground.

Altair rolled on the ground to avoid injury and, without stopping, got up and pulled the hunting knife out of the troll's neck.

[Congratulations!

User has levelled up to level "three"!

You have gained 5 status points!

Each status point gained in the Tutorial will be distributed randomly.

User has gained "1" strength and "4" agility status points.]

Although Altair saw this system window and could directly perceive the development in his body, he really had no time to spare for this.

He took immediate action.

He pulled the sword from the leg of the troll, which had died in a second, and advanced towards another troll without stopping.

Perhaps it was because he could kill a troll on his own that he had this courage, but one thing was clear:

His actions were emboldening everyone else.

By the time Altair reached the back of the other troll he was attacking, he had already seen six trolls fall to the ground, and he smiled, happy that everything was going so smoothly.

In a short time, he had repeatedly struck the neck of the troll, trying to reach him in the same way, and in the end, he had truly succeeded in what he had set out to do.

After killing another troll, Altair looked around and saw that every troll was on the ground, each one seemingly cut down by a sword.

"We're close to the centre. If we run, we can do what you said before the monsters from the other fronts reach us, Mr Hunter," the leader of the soldiers said suddenly.

Altair shook his head and said, "Let's go."

The running started again.

Each step felt like another step towards complete annihilation. Monsters from all four corners of the city had now begun advancing directly towards the centre, towards the area where the statue stood.

The rest were busy levelling the city to the ground.

As Altair approached the city centre, he could see Nyx's statue much more clearly.

The statue... was truly beautiful.

It had jet-black hair covered with stars that looked as if they had been placed there by the Creator himself, glowing purple eyes, a long black dress, and facial features so beautiful they could be described as perfect.

Nyx... was like a masterpiece.

Still, that wasn't the only thing Altair saw.

When the young man looked at this statue, he saw it glowing jet black, but he could see that one part, the statue's left eye, was covered in a greater darkness, blackness itself.

"Godly?" thought the young man.

Apparently, the essence was entirely in the left eye of the Nyx Statue.

Altair had managed to reach his target quickly, without encountering too many monsters.

Or rather... he almost had.

As he approached the centre, he could see many monsters in the area, but one was particularly striking.

The young man saw this monster fighting an old man wearing a long robe.

It was a monster with sharp claws, red hair, and what looked like scales, but that wasn't what caught Altair's attention.

[Fiarka (Low-Demon - Level 42)]

This was a level of power so immense that Altair couldn't even imagine it at that moment.

The young man had suddenly frozen in place, even though monsters were truly coming from all sides. His whole body was trembling. This time, it was truly out of fear, and of course, for good reason.

"Level... 42?" Altair muttered.

If there was one thing he knew about the tower, it was that monsters' levels reset after a certain threshold.

So this strange-looking 'demon' might have been a small wolf or a lizard man before reaching this threshold.

Meaning it had managed to continuously evolve its own race and become a low demon.

How many levels had it skipped? How many times had it changed species and managed to increase its power?

There was no way Altair could do anything to this monster.

So the young man started running directly towards the statue.

He passed through the monsters, trying to push some of them to the ground even though he was not at a level where he could kill them.

Still, he eventually managed to reach the status.

The colour itself, burning with these pitch-black lights, completely captivated his gaze.

The young man had walked to the back of the statue and noticed an entrance there. Still, the entrance was locked. He realised that someone was watching him from the large area on the other side of the statue.

When the young man focused his eyes precisely there, he could see that it was a church.

Above the church was a moon, and around that moon were twelve stars connected to it.

"Nyx's church?" Altair said to himself.

It wasn't hard to see that the people watching him were wounded priests and priestesses, but another woman was standing among them.

A woman shining brightly.

Altair pointed directly at Nyx's status, trying to explain what had happened to them only with his gestures.

Although the priests and nuns couldn't understand what was going on, this shining woman standing among them suddenly stepped forward.

Despite being incredibly wounded, the woman had descended the stairs leading to the church one by one and managed to reach Altair.

"The moment my eyes saw you, I recognised the purity of your soul. Did the goddess send you?" the woman inquired.

Altair swallowed and could only manage to shake his head.

Even if he was lying by using Nyx's name, he had to achieve this status no matter what.

Everything depended on it.

When the young man read this system window, his mouth fell open. His eyes widened, and his thoughts came to a halt for a few seconds.Still, he managed to pull himself together in no time.Even though he wanted to move on to the next floor, he had decided to rest for the day.In other words… it couldn’t really be said that he’d done all that much. It was quite clear that he wasn’t tired either. He’d simply thought that resting would do him more good. That’s why, instead of going straight through the gate, he’d returned to his own room in the palace. He’d had a lovely shower. After this long shower, he went to bed and lay his head on the pillow. He wouldn’t wake up for a long time. When he drifted off into the realm of dreams, he found himself in a rather strange setting. He was in space again. Yet this time, there was something different about the surroundings. It could be described as a homely atmosphere. There were a few armchairs around, and one could even spot a television. The yo

He wanted to rest for a while before passing through the Altair Gate.Even if he wasn’t physically tired, he knew that taking a breather and resting for a while was good for the body. After catching his breath for a while, he realised it was time to move on and got to his feet.He could now proceed towards the twenty-third floor. However, just as he was about to do so, a system window appeared before him:[The rewards for levelling up consecutively and clearing the 23rd floor have been combined, and the system has deemed you worthy of a suitable reward. The user has earned four ‘Skill Enhancement Stones’.]When Altair looked at this reward, he didn’t know what to say.“Four skill enhancement stones,” the young man said, beginning to ponder to himself.[You serious? That’s very rare, you know? And you’ve got three of them. That sounds very good.]Upon receiving a message from Aether, Altair curled his lip. Although Aether’s apparent excitement pleased him, he didn’t know which skills t

The young man was using his mana carefully and continued to spread as much fire as possible around him.Every time his mana was depleted, it would replenish, and his power would return to his body.It was impossible to say how many levels he had levelled up by now.At the very least, he had grown stronger, and most importantly, he hadn’t died here. After a short while, the mana shield enveloping the High-Demon had thinned to a mere film. The Void Fire continued to burn through this mana shield. However heavy it was, the High-Demon was, surprisingly, managing to defend itself remarkably well. This was astonishing. It was astonishing even to Altair. The area of the Funeral Bell of Letum had long since vanished. The Curse was persisting within the High-Demon’s body.It had taken nearly ten minutes for the three High-Demons to emerge from the gates and for matters to reach this point. The young man couldn’t help but be astonished.Despite the Curse lodged right in the centre of its throat

As he levelled up, the young man realised his mana had reached its peak, and without a moment’s hesitation, he unleashed his ability:“Funeral Bell of Letum!”The moment Altair spoke the spell’s name, the surroundings began to shift. As darkness began to spread, the young man planted his feet firmly on the ground and lunged forward. At that moment, he activated the ‘wave’ ability he had only just acquired. As he did so, a five-metre-wide wave of fire began to advance towards the High-Demon standing closest to him. With a single swing of his sword, the High-Demon sliced the wave of fire in two.The curse emitted by the Funeral Bell of Letum had clung directly to the High-Demon in the south, turning the High-Demon’s throat pitch black.Whilst the demons struggling with the fire around them could barely move due to the Funeral Bell of Letum, Altair simply continued to move. The moment he leapt upon the High-Demon, who had split the wave of fire in two, he sensed a massive surge of mana f

The Ice Fire spread out across the ground looked just like a snowflake. There was no way to describe the beauty of the sight. The young man had to start his attack now.Rather than swinging the sword he held tightly, Altair had set his sights on a target and began to advance in that direction. He was running towards the door, which he believed to be to the west. The constant presence of demons around him was definitely to his advantage. The young man would be able to level up significantly here.He was just a few levels short of level sixty. He was eager to master another career path. The system might have assigned him a survival mission, but the young man was well aware. These demons... were nothing more than small experience points to him. When Altair launched his first attack, a frenzied energy had already spread around him; as the aura of death enveloped the area, Ice Fire spread in every direction. With every step he took, Altair left behind traps on the ground, a mixture of Ice

Altair had slipped the knee guards directly onto his knees and then stood up to test how comfortable they were. They were quite comfortable.Although made of a metal as hard as adamantium, they were strangely flexible. It was quite clear that they were a very good pair of small armour pieces. When the young man sat back down on the floor, he waited a little longer. He really didn’t want to move from where he was, so staying put was his best option. He kept thinking about what had happened, and eventually, after a long while, a door and a gate opened up before him.[Please forgive us, Mr Altair Moon.It appears there has been an issue within the system.
