When one of the humanoid creatures shrank, all of Mr. Stark's crew immediately became weary and got ready to use their Cursed powers. This was because in their entire life they had not come across any Cursed type which allowed one to shrink. This was the first time they were coming across something like this and it was very frightening.

Even the Cursed from the Wizard Cursed type who were known for their knowledge of many things didn't even know about this Cursed power much less how they could defend against it. The only thing they could do was activate their various spells while looking around vigilantly.

Sou! Sou! Sou!

More arrows flew towards the crew members, releasing a dazzling light which blinded everyone. These arrows were imbued with strange properties which somehow decreased the strengths of all the Cursed around.

"Ah!" a Path two, Illusionist of the Wizard Cursed type couldn't react on time and was hit by several arrows. Instantly he was pulverized, transforming into ashes.

  • Chapter Thirty one: Inevitable End

Daniel found himself wrapped by countless strands of bloody hair as he floated through a hazy environment. Everything seemed surreal here, painted by a grotesque presence. There were several figures also floating about, indiscernible and eerie as well. This was the Spirit World, a realm which served as home to all kinds of spirit entities and creatures. It was one of those dangerous realms within the Metaphysical Cosmos which one wouldn't dare travel to except they have the means of navigating it. This was because the Spirit World wasn't like the Physical Cosmos. It had no dimension.Three figures suddenly turned their heads in his direction, their hollow eyes staring into his very soul. Just like this world they were all intangible and hazy in nature, possessing this eldritch terror to them.Bloody Mary who was travelling through the Spirit World with Daniel suddenly turned her head, looking at them. Instantly her eyes became bloodier, screams resonating out of her body. These were t

  • Chapter Thirty: Special Cops

Daniel and Bloody Mary appeared outside the street where he had been living. He was now standing on a sidewalk in the cold night, several vehicles zooming past on the highway. He turned his head in the direction of his street, his pupils dilating instantly. Instead of a street filled with houses there was one filled with a thick wood. The trees were very tall and large, gigantic vines creeping all over the place. There several countless creatures crawling out of the wood, disappearing into the night. And the most terrifying thing was that the entire wood seemed to be drenched in blood, its stench persisting for hundreds of meters. It was both nauseating and terrifying, filling Daniel with a primal horror he had never felt before."Oh no," Daniel muttered to himself as he turned to look at Bloody Mary. "What have we done..."It turned out the entire street had been affected by Crimsone's aura, turning the whole place into a lush wood brimming with vitality. And when Cassio interfered h

  • Chapter Twenty nine: Repercussions

Orpheus was pulled into the infernal crack filled with infinite redness. And the moment he got dragged into the crack it collapsed on itself, sealing him away from the waking world. And the last thing he saw was Daniel stretching out his hands in a frantic manner to save him.I'm doomed, this was his last thought as he got dragged by an invisible force through the redness. I'm really going to die here...And it's all because of my stupidity...Orpheus was awash with a primal terror, one that prevented him from even trying to survive. He had totally given up, embracing the hellish fate which awaited him—whatever it was. Nothing beguiled him into thinking that he would escape this place—absolutely nothing. But he did have regrets—ones which squeezed his heart, threatening to rip it apart. It was a paralyzing feeling which parasitized on his soul, evoking the strongest emotions in his heart. And it was really a surprise he could find the time to feel other things considering the fact that

  • Chapter Twenty eight: Moonlight Pull

The supernatural occurrence happening to Daniel and Orpheus right now was not strange to them. They had been through this before countless times. The only thing that caused them to be insanely terrified was the feeling of a Deity's gaze.Crimson was supposed to be dead in the human sense. But then His consciousness lived on in the Realm of Consciousness, waiting for the right moment to awaken. Hence it was right to say that this Deity couldn't even direct His gaze at the both of them right now. It was the effect of calling the true name of a Deity that was acting out right now.And because Orpheus had made a grave mistake of mentioning the name of the Blood of Cosmos the remnant aura of the slumbering Deity had seeped through the Realm of Consciousness, tearing through the infinite Metaphysical Cosmos to reach the Physical Cosmos where they were. And right now they were the only ones being affected by the divine aura which had washed over them. It was only a matter of time before some

  • Chapter Twenty seven: Bloody Consequence

"So technically you're now a lone wolf?" Orpheus asked after some moments of silence. He didn't bother to question Daniel's morality all this while or blame him for killing those Lycanthropes. Those Lycanthropes had been hellbent on killing Daniel and if he had not fought back they would have killed him instead. So he felt this was the only right thing for him to do. And Bloody Mary was right about the statement she had made earlier."I guess so," Daniel replied. "I'm now a lone wolf without any pack."When he said this his tone underwent a drastic change. All his concealed guilt and regret were cut open for Orpheus to see, his eyes becoming a little watery. He didn't even know when he clenched his fists.Although those Lycanthropes had tried to kill him he still knew deep down that it wasn't out of their volition. All of them had been under John's control and had no other choice but to obey his orders. It was almost like having their minds controlled to do something which they wouldn

  • Chapter Twenty six: Temporary Solution

Silently the Crimsone Count and Specter waited on the bed, watching Daniel who was still unconscious. Caroline also kept quiet, feeling that there was no need to talk at this moment. The cat was very much worried about her master, praying continuously that nothing bad would happen to her.By now the sun was already down, ready to be replaced by the moon. This brought about a stygian atmosphere, calling out nocturnal creatures which had been waiting all day to begin their hunt. And by this time Mrs. Stark who was Daniel's mother was nowhere to be found. And this wasn't what anyone needed to be worried about. The trio already knew that Mrs. Stark was a staff nurse who had night shifts on some days. And today was no different. She obviously wasn't back because of the night shift. And she wasn't going to return to the house this night as well.Well, that was a great thing because she wouldn't be around to witness the condition which her son was going through. It would have resulted in a g
