The glow of multiple monitors filled Ethan’s small apartment. The show on his face in shifting streams of green and red candlesticks.

The sound of his outdated computer blended with the steady sound of his own heartbeat. He had barely slept since his last victory, but fatigue wasn’t an option. The market never stopped moving, and neither could he.

“System Notification! Daily Trading Session Activated. Preparing system modules… New Feature Unlocked: Whale Watcher.”

Ethan’s eyes narrowed. “Whale Watcher? What’s that supposed to mean?”

The interface of the system flickered, opening a sleek new panel at the side of his dashboard. Pulsing dots appeared across the blockchain map and each tagged with wallet IDs and transaction histories.

“System Explanation! Whale Watcher is a predictive tracking module. It scans wallets holding more than $100M in assets, analyzing patterns of movement, trade intent, and hidden signals. When a whale buys or sells, you will be alerted seconds before the transaction is confirmed.”

Ethan leaned forward. His adrenaline spike just seconds before confirmation.

On the chart, a single wallet ID glowed brighter than the rest. The system highlighted it in red.

“System Alert! Suspicious Whale Wallet Detected: Address 0xA9F… Initiating pattern analysis.”

A scrolling list of data burst across the screen with transaction volume, gas fees, market timing and hidden connections to offshore exchanges. The wallet was loading up stablecoins in rapid bursts.

“They’re preparing to buy,” Ethan muttered, fingers tightening on his mouse. “But what coin?”

The Whale Watcher module zoomed in automatically to the graph overlays and algorithms colliding until the system made its conclusion.

“System Projection! The target  is SolaraCoin and the whale intends to buy  1.2 Million units within 90 seconds. Projected price increase: +34% in 6 minutes. Optimal front-run window: 30 seconds.”

Ethan’s blood raced. Thirty seconds was all he had.

He slammed in his command. “Buy 150,000 units of SOLR, market order!”

The order executed instantly, filling his screen with green confirmation ticks. His balance dipped sharply before swelling again as the whale’s massive purchase hit like an earthquake.

The price of SOLR spiked upward in an aggressive surge, candle after candle went green. Chatrooms lit up across the internet.

TraderX99 quickly gave a comment, “WHAT THE HELL?! Did anyone else see that Solara pump??”

MoonshotQueen commented, “Whales are moving, get in NOW!”

CryptoBro77 dropped a comment, “No way… Phantom Trader called this 20 seconds before it happened. This timing is IMPOSSIBLE.”

Ethan’s hands hovered over the keyboard as numbers rolled faster than he could process. His $150K entry ballooned into $220K in less than three minutes.

“System Prompt alert! Profit threshold reached. Recommended Action: Execute sell order within 20 seconds to maximize gain before whale distribution dump.”

“Sell 150,000 SOLR!” Ethan barked.

The sell executed at the very peak. His balance flashed right in his face, +$72,000 profit.

Ethan leaned back in his chair with his chest heaving. The rush was intoxicating. It was like riding lightning with nothing but faith in the system to keep him alive.

“System Notification! Congratulations. Whale Watcher success: 1/1. Feature calibrated to the user.”

“Calibrated, huh?” Ethan whispered, staring at the glowing profit number. “This… this is how legends are made.”.

On the other side of the city, in a sleek office lined with monitors, Damien Holt stood with his arms crossed. He was watching a giant monitor on the wall. On it were streams of data that replayed the very trade Ethan had just executed, down to the millisecond.

A middle-aged man in a gray suit stood stiffly beside him. “Mr. Holt, we have confirmed it again. Phantom Trader front-ran a whale movement with perfect accuracy. No human timing can do this.”

Damien’s jaw tightened. His reflection in the window glared back at him like a stranger. “Perfect accuracy? Then it isn’t luck. He’s using something. Some kind of tool, or maybe insider information.”

The man cleared his throat nervously. “Our team of investigators has been monitoring digital footprints. Phantom masks his trades, but… there are anomalies. Leaks in data packets. Enough that we can begin to trace him.”

Damien turned sharply with his eyes burning. “Then trace him. I don’t care what it costs. Find me Phantom Trader.”

“Yes, sir. We’ve already assembled a dedicated taskforce. We’ll comb through his digital fingerprints and isolate his physical location.”

Damien let out a cold laugh. “Good. Because whoever this Phantom is, he’s not just stealing from whales and he is making me look like a fool. And no one survives making me look like a fool.”

………

Back in his apartment, Ethan scrolled through forums, watching the chatter explode. His anonymous handle, Phantom Trader, was trending again.

User_CryptoKid commented,  “How does Phantom do this? He’s not human, he’s a ghost!”

AnonFinance typed his own comment too, “SEC’s gonna be all over this. This guy’s timing is supernatural.”

DarkNetWhisper dropped his own comment, ““Word is, big players want him gone. He’s poking bears.”

Ethan’s stomach twisted, but the strength drowned it out. They were right, his timing was supernatural. But it wasn’t him. It was the system.

“System Notification!

Reputation Increase: Phantom Trader is trending in 12 forums. Influence Points +150.”

Influence Points is another system mechanic, rising in the background. He wasn’t sure what they were used for yet, but every increase seemed to unlock new doors.

Still, a flicker of unease crept into his mind. Fame was a double-edged sword. The brighter Phantom Trader’s star burned, the easier it would be for enemies to track the man behind the mask.

“Let them come,” Ethan whispered under his breath, flexing his fingers. “If Damien, if Victor and if any of them think they can drag me down, they’ll learn I don’t fall anymore.”

The monitors reflected the fire in his eyes. Numbers still climbed, charts still shifted, and Whale Watcher pulsed faintly in the corner of the system, ready for its next hunt.

But somewhere, unseen eyes were watching him back. The first cracks in his digital armor had begun to spread.

And Damien’s hired investigators started closing in.
