As the bright afternoon slowly turned into evening, a sudden roar of thunder rumbled across the sky. At that exact moment, a shout came from a figure wearing a bamboo hat, standing atop the altar.

"Now!"

The man wearing a head cover, who served as the executioner, raised his large machete high above his head. In a single breath, he swung his massive blade toward the girl's neck.

Tiiing!!!

A sharp clanging sound rang out suddenly. The machete flew from the executioner's grasp, and the man himself collapsed to the ground, lifeless, with fresh blood pouring from his neck.

The bamboo-hatted figure was utterly shocked to see his executioner lying motionless, bleeding profusely.

"Bastard! Who dares to interfere with this ritual!?" he roared furiously.

"Don't think you can revive the spirits of the Demon Army! As long as I live, heretics like you will always be my prey!"

The bamboo-hatted figure and his dozen disciples surrounding the altar immediately turned their heads. They saw a young ma

  • Lu Feng's Aid

After finishing off two demon soldiers, Ho Chen turned his gaze toward the remaining two with piercing eyes. “Don’t expect to escape death!” he said coldly, a wicked grin curling his lips. It was a threat unlike anything the demon soldiers had ever received from a human. The two demon soldiers hadn’t expected their weaknesses to be so easily read by their opponent. They exchanged glances and then attacked simultaneously. But the vast difference in ability was already clear. Unaccustomed to fighting in thick smoke, they met the same grim fate as their comrades—dying in a gruesome state.Just as expected, the fire in the forest outside the capital city of the demon Kingdom quickly drew the attention of palace guards. Upon hearing the soldiers’ footsteps approaching the battlefield, Ho Chen immediately dashed deeper into the woods. He then jumped up into a tall tree to hide, using the time to rest and recover his drained energy. From there, his shar

  • The Weakness of the Demon Race

Ho Chen spun his yellow iron staff rapidly, generating a powerful whirlwind. The two soldiers were forced to channel their inner energy just to withstand the pressure of the wind battering their bodies. It was beyond their comprehension—how could a human match their abilities this far? While the two demon soldiers were still busy resisting the force of the wind, Ho Chen suddenly dashed forward with incredible speed, delivering a heavy attack.Though they managed to anticipate his sudden move, the clash of their combined energies caused a massive explosion, launching both demon soldiers backward until they crashed into trees. Two thick trunks collapsed instantly from the impact on their backs.Ho Chen, on the other hand, suffered a similar fate but with slightly better luck. He was only thrown a short distance and landed lightly on the ground. His hands trembled slightly from the blow, and pain throbbed through his arms. The two demon sold

  • A Difficult Battle

The son of the Sun God, born as a human, swiftly drew his yellow iron staff and blocked the strike just in time before the sword of one of the soldiers could cleave his head in two. Ho Chen was pushed back a dozen steps from the sheer power behind the attack. Before he could regain his balance, a spear came thrusting toward his stomach. With no other choice, Ho Chen threw himself to the side—better that than ending up skewered like a satay lamb.He was truly struggling against the relentless combination attacks from the two large-eared soldiers. He could tell their strength and speed were far greater than the gatekeepers he had fought at the entrance to the demon realm.Their movements were coordinated and seamless. When one finished attacking, the other would follow up immediately. That was what made it nearly impossible for Ho Chen to counterattack. A moment's lapse could lead to severe injury—or worse.“You two won’t defeat me that ea

  • A Human in the Demon Realm

Deep down, Ho Chen felt like throwing up—and laughing—at the same time when he was forced to lie. The truth was, he had no idea who Qiang Mo even was. Other than the demon he had fought inside a large house in a dense forest, he knew no other demons by name. Fortunately, he played his role perfectly, and the suspicion of the four gatekeepers gradually faded. Eventually, they allowed Ho Chen to enter the Demon King's domain. Without even a hint of a smile, Ho Chen stepped through the gate—only to be left gaping at the sight that awaited him on the other side. It was nothing like he had imagined. He had expected the demon kingdom to be somewhat similar to human realms. But now, seeing it for himself, he realized the differences were vast. From the architecture to the environment, everything was completely unlike the human world. Most of the buildings in the demon realm were massive and made of stone. In addition, ornate and h

  • Entering the Demon Realm

Ho Chen ducked low and twisted slightly as the demon gatekeeper’s spear swung toward his neck. He aimed a punch with his left fist toward his opponent’s stomach, but the attack was narrowly dodged. The cave trembled slightly as Ho Chen’s missed blow released a surge of stray energy from the Drunken God Strike, which slammed into the cave wall.Fortunately, he hadn’t used his full inner energy—fearing that a missed strike could collapse the cave. His caution was justified. If the cave crumbled, he would be buried inside along with it.Before he could retract his palm, the demon’s spear slashed toward his arm. He barely managed to block it with the heirloom staff in his right hand. However, the force of the block left him vulnerable—a kick landed squarely on his chest, sending him hurtling backward. His body crashed into the cave wall, but not too violently, as he had driven his Yellow Iron Staff into the ground to slow his momentum, leaving a long scar along the cave floor. He hadn’t y

  • The Death of the Demon Beast and the Guardian Hound

"I have to kill that damned hound first!" Ho Chen muttered furiously. Every time he launched an attack, it was always disrupted by the demon hound that aided the two demon gatekeepers. As a result, he couldn’t land a direct blow on his enemies.Ho Chen increased his speed. This time, he focused solely on the demon hound. He was convinced that once the hound was dead, he could take down the two gatekeepers much faster.Realizing that the hound had become the young man's main target, the two demon gatekeepers tried to protect it. They fought desperately to block Ho Chen’s swift attacks within the cave-shaped dimensional portal.Their large, towering bodies were also hindered by the cave’s ceiling, limiting their movement. So, defense became their temporary solution until the gate would close again. But Ho Chen didn’t let them breathe even for a second. He kept chasing them wherever they moved. His smaller frame compared to the demons gave him a distinct advantage, one he utilized to its
