“It was Wayne,” Dave said quietly. “I saw him walk into the other dressing room, so I followed. I didn’t know why he was there. Then I saw him playing with a lighter. I asked what he was doing, and I remembered my mom telling me not to play with lighters because they’re dangerous. But Wayne said it was just his toy. He lit it, and it slipped from his hand onto the clothes.”

Gasps erupted through the yard.

Anita's face turned red, and her fist clenched so tightly, “Look, my son is innocent, he can't do that at his age, your son is blaming my son. Tell him to stop it or I will break his jaw.”

Asher stared coldly at Anita, “I know my son very well, and he can't lie to me.”
