Atop Xingu Mountain, the very one that accommodated the entire Zishan clan. Mengmeng helped Zishan Hui up as the man struggled to sit.

Zishan Meng had used her healing technique the last time and it had only helped in the aspect of putting his bones back in place which means, Zishan Hui should definitely be in a lot of pain.

The man gritted his teeth, his hands crossed over Mengmeng's shoulder. When he finally finds a comfortable position, he asked.

"Should we really do nothing? The Immortal Lord is cunning and would go to the extreme just for Yao's location to be revealed."

Zishan Meng stared at her husband for a while and then turned her back on him.

She said,

"Seishan cultivated emotions and had almost discovered the truth. And of course, you were correct in your deduction of the emotions he's cultivated."

She turned swiftly seeing the calm look on her husband's face.

"You were actually there?"

Mengmeng smiled and cupped his cheeks.

"I'm sorry I had to let you take all that suffering in order to destroy his cultivation, I needed information."

Zishan Hui's eyes widened.

"You destroyed his cultivation?"

Mengmeng sighed.

"Not exactly everything, but I'm sure I've crippled his emotions. He cannot cultivate that power again."

Zishan Hui smiled sweetly. "At least you stopped him from believing in that power. It would have been disastrous if I hadn't discovered that flaw."

There was a moment of silence before Zishan Hui continued his statement.

"He made mention of turning the entire world against the Zishan clan. What do you think would be the Immortal Lord's next choice of action?"

Mengmeng thought silently and responded.

"The Four Ruling Power!"

Zishan Hui counted two prominent surnames.

"Bai, Wang,"

Mengmeng chuckled.

"Ku, Liu. These four would be our downfall."

Zishan Hui's face was solemn. "Three days should be enough for commotion to break out, don't you think?"

Naturally, the Zishan clan is head over the four ruling powers, but then it is still these four that would be used as a weapon against them.

Suddenly, the entire Xingu Mountain trembled dramatically, causing both Hui and Meng to freeze.

Mengmeng is now a Dú ké hán so there is nothing for her to fear. She stood up from her position and Zishan Hui stood up too, ignoring the excruciating pain he felt.

"It should be right about— now!"

A swift but terrifying arrow instantly cut through the sky, severing existence and almost shattering the runes covering the Xingu Mountain's core.

As the only one in the Kû realm, Mengmeng had to stop that arrow and she did, except— her hands bled from touching it due to the material it was created from.

Only one clan is adept in archery and that is the Ku clan.

Mengmeng gritted her teeth.

"That's Grandmaster Ku Deng."

Zishan Hui snorted.

"Let's go greet him."

They held each other's hands and simply vanished, appearing below the mountain in an instant.

And there they were, Grandmaster Ku Deng, Ancestor Bai Wangyuan, Patriarch Liu Shaoyin and Wang Tian.

These were the four ruling powers which the Zishan clan headed, but now— for some reason, the four ruling powers were against them.

"Wasn't the Ninth-fortress sect closed down yesterday Mr Zishan? I heard that without Sheng, it is impossible to run the sect."

Zishan Hui stared at Bai Wangyuan and hissed. "You know that I can pick up from where my father had left out? I am his heir."

Bai Wangyuan laughed.

And then, their faces turned grim. "We've come for a purpose. We are here to destroy the Zishan clan Twelve Marquises."

Mengmeng's expression changed.

"The Twelve Marquises just stepped into the Zǔxiān realm. I won't let you destroy what the Zishan clan had spent a lot to produce."

Ku Deng smiled and drew his arrow. "What exactly can you do from this point?"

Chills immediately ran up Mengmeng's spine and she vanished.

She appeared before Marquis Yang and found her body pinned to the wall by a terrifyingly sharp arrow.

Anger swelled within her, surging wildly like a powerful dam and she disappeared.

When she appeared before the Four Ruling Power, she lunged straight at Ku Deng, the power of a Kû realm expert shaking the sky.

"Ku Deng, you dare defy me. How dare you kill one of my Marquis?"

Liu Shaoyin smiled at Mengmeng and whispered.

"I've cultivated extreme yin and yang. I've also merged them together. Do you want to experience it? You haven't even discovered your calamity while I've started my own journey. It is telling who would win."

Zishan Hui turned towards Mengmeng and shouted.

"Mengmeng, please help me enter the antediluvian realm."

As a Primordial, it would be difficult to fight against a Kû but if he becomes an Ortuser, the chance would rise from ten percent to 30 percent.

Mengmeng turned towards Zishan as her two fingers stuck out. Then, a powerful array formation manifested in golden runes and Hui sat at its center as he cultivated.

Wang Tian sneered.

"He's only becoming an Ortuser and it won't help the situation at all. Ku Deng, kill the remaining eleven Marquises."

Ku Deng smiled as he drew his arrow and this time, he aimed at Nian Nian, a very talented Primogenitor.

Mengmeng's pupils shrank rapidly. She stared at Ku Deng's arrow as it slipped away. The worst part is that she was unable to stop the arrow from moving.

Among the four ruling powers, Ku Deng held the highest cultivation. He is at the peak of the Kû realm. But he couldn't break through to immortality— at least, not now. And that is why Ku Deng easily killed with his arrow and had not missed.

Atop Xingu Mountain, Nian Nian stood with Qingyu, and of course he was robbing the young man of his spirit roots.

Normally, those in the Zǔxiān realm can absorb spirit essence from the universe itself so they did not need spirit roots, which should be strange that a Zǔxiān would be stealing from younger cultivators.

But all of a sudden, the hair on his body stood on end and he swerved to the left.

An arrow headed his way at terrifying speed.

This arrow held the power of a higher powerhouse, but how Nian Nian dodged was a complete mystery.

Nian Nian breathed heavily, staring down at the mountain and realizing that something was up.

His hands clutched his chest tight, realizing that he had almost died just now.

The current from the river of time was like a majestic sweeping force and one wrong move, Yao would be done for. He grabbed his makeshift boat tight, his third eye, spinning like his life depended on it. And finally, the current of the river stopped, giving Yao a breathing space– bringing peace to the surface of the river.Yao did not even know for how long he had been holding his breath, but it had to have been very long because his lungs were burning now. He had yet to transmute his true qi to spirit qi, so he had not entered the dao of spirit. So for now, he can be considered as a mortal cultivator unless he's stepped into the dao of spirit. He breathed in rapidly. He did not know whether something would attack him or not– he did not care whether he would be attacked. Right now, his main problem is surviving the river of time. The thing is, any other attack coming from the peak of the slope will only end up being swallowed by the river. So no matter how many times Yao exhales, it

The floor cracked. Marble stones peeled off the cracked ground then Yao swallowed. A breath. Two breaths. And Yao felt a chill. From the point where he slid down, the sharpness in his eyes took a drastic change and his spirit energy drifted from him and simply painted the sky a transparent hue. For a moment the world stood completely still. Not influenced by the river of time, but rather— something that actually ignores the river. Yao saw the flash arrival of a spear, its tip glistening with an unholy sharpness, the kind capable of splitting the heavens. All of a sudden, the surrounding rivers started to boil. Heaven and earth instantly changed colour. Yao's face turned pale.Although this spear surpassed the limit of what he could handle, he needed it so that he could stop his dreadful fall. He just had to ignore the pressure and avoid contact. Now the spear is only inches away from cutting him open. Yao took a deep breath, triggering the chills. There was a blinding flash as

The path was sloped downwards and the marble floor had droplets of time mist which made the floor wet and slippery. Time is a river so it replicates water which means that if care is not taken, he could slip and slide down the mountain, probably sustaining an injury in the process. This is the path he sought for, but this path was dangerous. One wrong move and he is done for. He swallowed– hard. Yao took a deep breath, and a few seconds later, he crossed the boundary. The moment he separated himself from the enclosure that hid the mountain top, Yao knew that he could not afford to go back again. Not because he did not want to go back, but because it was now impossible. Another defensive mechanism. He took his first step and then the second. From there, he carefully descended from the sloped mountain range. And on each side, Yao could clearly see beneath the mountain. He also saw a massive river that pooled beneath this range. He breathed in and out. White mist followed his exhal

200 years…400 years…800 years…Yao lost count of how many years he's spent inside Zicuen Mountain. He stopped counting, just hoping…probably, he'd break the time suppression around him.The world around him distorted and changed. And suddenly, his vision tilted creating a mesmerising view.Yao stood frozen for a moment, trying to wonder what he was seeing. He saw the void change along with time, then it compressed into a ball that became the memories of time. And these memories carried by time either had to be absorbed or destroyed and somehow, Yao had observed a memory that sent his brain nerves into a complete shock. At first, he saw a universe which was overlooked by the starry sky. Everything had been normal for a long three seconds until the stars trembled. And then merged together, forming what is known as the Starry Fist. Yao did not know why but just observing the memory caused him to spit out blood and he was yet to break the time suppression around him. He had even expe

A century later, Yao's ancient eyes flickered. Fear. Ever since he had awakened from what sealed him, the concept of fear had been foreign to him. It is only now did he know that such a thing existed. The river of time flowed beneath the Zicuen mountain and it influenced time greatly on both outside and inside therefore, stopping time outside, and creating a suppression inside. A defensive mechanism actually. This is to defend against unwanted Intruders who's only intention is to invade and snatch the ancient techniques hidden below the mountain. Yao knew too well that he held no evil intention, instead he only came here for humanity's sake. Not that he even knew how exactly it would help humanity. Despite the selfishness, the mountain did not reject him, rather it bombarded him with its time suppression, probably wanting Yao to break it.Time continued to pass and Yao did not know how long, but if time isn't keeping him exactly as he had entered the mountain, he should have grown

Yao could feel the distorted nature of time. Sometimes, he felt as if the distance was longer or shorter. He had entered from the top of Zicuen mountain so the only way to those ancient techniques is to find a path that leads beneath the mountain. He found a path. He started to make his way down… trusting Shang Fa that time was frozen on the outside world. The duel that is to happen in three days is not something that Yao had expected and if anything, Mo Shen had only sought him out just to make trouble from it.Yao massaged his temples. He could feel insensitive headaches growing. 'Maybe, I can use this period to enter the clarity realm.’ Yao's third eye suddenly manifested and spirit energy spilled out of his palm, hovering into the inky black crevices of the mountain. Spirit energy chased the darkness only gathering a bit of shadows since it wasn't a true source of light. Then his spirit energy surged, each spirit grains lapping upon each other in a refined manner. No one woul
