In the dimly lit office, they stepped in to find a man seated in a chair, with his back turned towards them, gazing out into the nighttime cityscape. The room was bathed in the soft glow of moonlight, casting a mysterious atmosphere.

"Sir" Delilah calls, urging the person sitting behind the chair to spin over.

A man around his late fifties came into view urging Ares's brows to draw in confusion as to who he was.

Wait, was he missing something or what?

"Ares Russor" The man called his lips, spreading into a smile, "It's so good to finally meet you." The man acknowledged getting up and walking towards Ares.

He passed out his hands for a shake, Ares contemplated whether or not to take it before he finally did, "And you are?"

"David Mitchell" He introduced his eyes lingering on the dragon ring.

Ares noticed his stare causing him to pull his hands off.

"I see, he passed it on to you"

"He?"

David nods, "Apollo"

Okay confusion was more evident on Ares face. Why was here? Who is David Mitchell? Was he supposed to know him?

And most importantly, how does he know Master A?

"He didn't tell you, did he?" David asks, slicing through Ares's train of thoughts.

Ares' lips remained sealed; he didn't know what to say or how to put it. He always knew there was something Master A had been hiding from him, he'd always tell him when you're ready, you'll find out.

There was more to what he knew.

"Delilah, leave us" he ushers.

She nods, "Yes Sir"

Ares noticed the glance she stole at him before she turned on her heels and walked out.

"Come, take a seat please. We have a lot to talk about" David says motioning at the couch.

Ares was skeptical yet he still followed suit.

Initially he's here for Cristian and now this? He didn't see that coming but something about David didn't sit well with him.

"Where is he?" Ares asks.

"Apollo?"

He nods.

David paused for a second, "What did he say to you before you got bailed?"

When the time comes.

Fuck.

"Bailed?"

What did he mean by bailed? He was set free because of the presidential pardon he got.

Every two years the president sends relief to the prisons that have been sentenced for long years depending on Their change of character and behavior.

"What? You didn't think you were set free did you?" David asks with a chuckle.

"Oh kid, There's a lot more that you have no idea about"

"Enlighten me then" Ares blurted, already getting fed up by David's puzzle-ish talks.

"The incident that happened with the DuPont that sent you to jail. They didn't only get you sentenced for 10 years, there was more to it. You weren't supposed to last a month" David leaned in placing his hands on the table, "They wanted you dead or should I say he"

"What?"

David sighed, "Apollo was assigned to protect yo–"

Ares cut him off, "How? He got there six years before me and it didn't look it when I got there"

"No. He got imprisoned two days before you got there" David corrects.

Ares shakes his head in dismay, "What is this? Why are you doing this and why?"

David remained mute for a second, "Ares now is not the time–"

"Bullshit! Don't fucking give me that crap." Ares bolts up in annoyance having fed up with all of this.

"Calm down."

"Don't tell me that! Who are you? And what do you want with me?" Ares inquires with barely contained irkness.

David observed Ares infuriated self clasping his hands together with a sigh, "Take a seat Ares"

"No–"

"Please"

Ares grown before settling down.

"We don't have much time." David says getting Ares more and more confused yet curious.

"Time for what?"

"Your father is gone Ares"

"Yes and you think I don't know that?"

David shakes his head frantically, "No not Mr Russor. Your biological father"

What?

Biological father?

Okay this man has completely lost it, he definitely doesn't know what he's talking about.

"I'm sorry Ares you had to find out this way." David console with piety lashed in his voice.

"No. This is absurd, you don't know what you're talking about and I don't have time for this, I need to get home" He got up.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you."

Ares halts, "Excuse me?"

David nods. "Look Ares. As I mentioned earlier, we don't have much time."

"Time for what!? Could you quite talking in riddles and fucking speak with sense" Ares roars huffing out series of breaths.

"I get that you're upset but if you'll just sit and hear me out then it'll save much time for both you and I" David tries to reason.

Ares shakes his head, "What is this? What are you and why am I here? You work for the DuPonts don't you"

David chuckles, "No Ares. I work for your father but now for you, now that he's gone"

Ares all thought this was absurd who serves this man, is definitely losing it.

"Work? For me?" Ares asks to which David nods.

Ares laughs a weary one, "Yeah right!".

"Ares you're the future to Grandeur Empire and Dominatus Aeternus, with your father gone it's high time you took over"

"Over what exactly and why do you keep saying My father? Who specifically are you talking about if not Henry Russor?"

David's lips sealed into a thin line before they part to respond, "Magnus Lockwood is your father Ares"

Russor was not stupid. The ring alone could not do so much. It was only a way to lure Elena into his lair, get hold of her, and of course, make Ares hopeless. She had suffered an external bleeding from the blow, making blood to trickle down the side of her face. She was tied up, and thrown beside her son, who laid helplessly on the floor.Russor was an epitome of a heartless demon. He could not even pity the 4-year-old boy!He asked the man to take a perfect picture of the mother and son in all angles, and sent it to Ares.He added a caption to it, which said: "How do you like this present? Any further delay, and you'll be gifted their dead bodies. I'm sure they are more important to you than that inheritance, be smart, Ares. Be smart."Allison came back from the black web. She had been there for a while, trying to track Russor's location, but it was all in vain. She needed to check up on the duo, and when she got the house, she found it strange as to how quiet it was.Could it be th

"Alright, then. Great choice you have made, Elena! You have less than a day," he said."What?" "I give you 12 hours. I believe that you are a smart woman, you can get it done in 6 hours, even. Once you get it, call me, and I will send you the location. Remember, no one. I mean, no one at all should know about this," he voiced sinisterly."Do not harm my son, please. I will bring the ring to you, just don't do anything to him," she begged, feeling a sense of guilt, for being so irresponsible."Get to it, already. Your time has already started. You now have 10 hours to go, if I were you, I would not say anything further. Good luck!" He said, and let out a wry laughter. The phone beeped.
