Two years later

"Kill him," Ares says, cutting off from the call. He heaved out a breath, walking out of the room.

He left for England two days ago after lying to Elena that he had some work-related issues and would be back as soon as he could for Ryan's fifth birthday.

How time flies. Just like yesterday, the duo were on each other's necks wanting nothing to do with one another, and today, all he could say or do was be more grateful to fate.

Ares left for England to finalize everything with his daughter's foster parent. He had paid them off handsomely for giving his daughter the best parental care, judging by her behavior and character. He also promised them that Nova would come to visit.

Ares still hasn't informed Elena about it; he wanted it to be a surprise. His family isn't complete without having her as well.

She was born out of the mistake they made years ago; call her a beautiful mistake that he'll forever cherish.
