Jace was walking down the stairs as he glanced at his wrist watch at every time interval.

“Why the hell have I not seen Serex today?” he muttered under his breath as he hurried down.

He had refused to take the stairs in hope to exercise his legs. Due to the fact that he had lodged in a hotel last night and Serex’s delay he was unable to hit the gym. Fortunately for him, his health had deteriorated by only 35%.

“He has not even read or responded to my messages.” Jace added as he scrolled through the countless messages he sent to his assistant.

[Hi Serex, I could not sleep at my house, so I checked into the King's Hotel. You can come pick me up.]

[Hi, why aren't you at work? Is everything alright?... ]

Jace sighed. He was certain that something had gone wrong. Serex was not the kind of guy who could ghost him.

“I need to find out where he is.” he said and took out his phone from his pockets. His assistant might be in danger, waiting for his help.

    It was another day in Jace's life. He awoke on time because he had barely slept all night.The incident had left him in a state of instability. He had been thinking about who was behind that, but no one came to mind.After getting dressed, he checked his wristwatch. 9:00 am.
