“Well, they might be a bit rusted sure. But in this case, and against the enemy that we are about to face, these weapons will suit all of you better.” Gabriel replied.

“You know that’s bull-”

“It's not if I can prove it to you,” Gabriel interjected sternly and turned toward the small crowd of guards. “I need one man to pick up this weapon for demonstration.”

“I’ll do it,” Norvin said, still confused about how a bunch of rusty old spears would be able to help him in this situation.

He held his breath as he lifted the weapon, expecting it to be heavy, but the weapon came off the ground easily. “It's lighter than I expected.” He whispered. It was lighter than the longsword that he was used to but not by much

The Captain got closer to Gabriel, his head shaking, “I don’t know what you're trying to do, but unless you prove to these men, that spears are capable of killing those red bears. They won't follow your orders.”
