Chapter 1
Cheated on
"Thanks for your patronage, we hope your wife likes it." A lady smiled as she gave a handsome young man in his early twenties a small red box.
"I'm not married yet," The young man smiled embarrassed as he collected the box from the lady.
"Oh, I'm sorry, or perhaps you're giving it to your girlfriend." The lady apologized as she continued.
"Yes, I want to propose to her today," The young man nodded with a smile.
"I wish I could have been there to support you." The lady smiled.
The young man nodded with a smile and walked out of the store hurriedly, got an old bike which was parked just right outside the store, and drove away whistling.
Soon, he went to an apartment and parked his bike; Jasper frowned as he looked around, wondering where the luxurious car parked beside his apartment came from.
"Hey stop there!" A hoarse voice came just as Jasper was about to walk into his apartment.
"What's wrong?" Jasper frowned, looking at the two bulky men who stood guard in front of the door.
"You can't go in." One of the men said.
"Can't go in?" Jasper replied, looking confused.
"Yes, you can't go in." The man replied.
"But this is my apartment, not someone else's." Jasper continued, confusion written on his face.
"We don't care about that; all we have to do is stop you from entering; our boss ordered us not to allow anyone in." The man sneered.
"And how's that my business?" Jasper frowned.
"You should get the heck out of my face and let me in." Jasper snapped.
"We are sorry, but we can't do that." The men shook their heads and showed no sign of moving.
"Get the heck out of my way!" Jasper roared as he rushed towards the two men, not caring about anything else.
"Who the heck is shouting so loudly? Don't you know not to disturb me?" An angry voice came as the door of the apartment was swung open, revealing a man bare-chested.
"Who the heck are you, and what the heck are you doing at my apartment?" Jasper roared at the man.
"Baby, who's that yelling?" A feminine voice came as a figure walked out of the inner room toward the door in slightly scanty clothes.
"Amelia...." Jasper froze as he shuttered, seeing the figure.
"Oh Jasper, it's you," Amelia said plainly as she looked at Jasper, the disgust in her eyes was evident.
"What..what is..is he doing here?" Jasper shuttered as he pointed at the man.
"Don't tell me it's what I'm thinking...."
"What kind of dumb question are you asking?" Amelia snapped.
"What would a man and a woman be doing all alone inside a room? Staring at themselves? Or what the heck do you expect?"
"But...but I...I thought we loved each other, and you promised never to leave me..." Jasper stuttered, his eyes red.
"Hmph!" Amelia sneered.
"Do you think I have all year to waste? What have you ever got for me? You can't even afford to get me a set of jewelry, or even the bags and clothes I wanted, and yet you want me to stay with you?"
"You must be high right from the start; that's why you dared to think of such," Amelia snapped.
"But, I tried my best, I did all I could to make you happy...." Jasper shuttered as his voice cracked.
"Did you do the best you could?" Amelia laughed, "I'm sorry, but I didn't see that."
"Are you going to do this, Amelia?" Jasper looked at Amelia, as the last glimpse of hope in his heart flickered.
For the past two years, he had engaged in all sorts of odd jobs just to satisfy her. Working tirelessly so that he would satisfy her.
"I'm sorry, but you've been living in a fantasy world all this while, it's time for you to come back to the real world." Amelia sneered.
At that moment, Jasper felt the last flicker of hope in his heart extinguished after hearing what Amelia said.
"Boy, you've been unlucky; your girl tastes delicious; I bet you've never had a taste of her, right?" The man by Amelia's side suddenly grinned as he grabbed Amelia closer and performed some obscene act on her.
"Amelia..."
"Don't even ask," Amelia interrupted Jasper coldly.
"But..." Jasper shuttered, not knowing what to say. For the past two years, Amelia had told him that she wanted to wait till marriage.
As the gentleman he was, he decided to respect her decision, but then it turned out that he was being made a fool of. She was never pure in the first place.
He had been swimming in an ocean of lies, believing his future wife was pure and was just waiting for him. It seemed like he had been made a fool after all the efforts he had put into nurturing everything.
"Boy, you don't deserve to have someone as beautiful as her, you're not worthy of her." The man sneered.
"You...." Jasper gritted his teeth as he looked at the man.
"What are you going to do, huh?" The man sneered as he looked at Jasper with a smirk.
"I'll kill you..." Jasper suddenly lost it all and rushed toward the man.
Immediately, the two bulky men stepped forward and dragged Jasper back, holding him firmly.
"Break his limbs and throw him out onto the streets," the man ordered, closing the door.
The next moment, Jasper's screams were heard as the men beat him up mercilessly before proceeding to break his limbs.
After making sure he was in a half-death situation, the two men then proceeded to throw him out onto the streets.
At this moment, Jasper was in a miserable state as his consciousness flickered. Before he could lose consciousness, he heard a voice in his head.
"Ding!"
"Conditions for Activating System met."
"Error in Activating System."
"Commencing automatic recovery. The host should hold on."
A series of voices rang in his head, and the next moment, he felt the pain in his body stimulated and, before long, lost consciousness.

The Tycoon System The Mission
The Oakridge industrial district was silent at night. Rows of massive warehouses stretched endlessly beneath the dull glow of scattered streetlights.Jasper’s SUV slowed to a stop two blocks away from the target building, forcing the team members to slow down as well. The warehouse in front of them looked ordinary. But Jasper was sure. The system confirmed it. Tiger turned off the engine and looked back at Jasper.“That’s the one.” Jasper nodded. Beside him, Bai Zhe leaned forward in his seat and squinted through the windshield.“Looks quiet,” he muttered. He was excited about this mission. He hasn't had the opportunity to have such fights since Jasper left of Silverlake.“Not quiet,” Jasper corrected. “Just careful.”“There are six cameras covering the perimeter. Two more at the loading docks. Motion sensors at the rear entrance.” Jasper heard Jackson spoke over the earplugs. Bai Zhe, who also had one plugged in, smirked. “So they’re expecting visitors.”Jasper opened the door

The Tycoon System Dead ends
Night had already settled over Oakridge. All clues led to dead ends. Jasper sat down in the car across the main road, watching cars move to and fro, their headlights forming endless glowing lines. But inside the car, the atmosphere was heavy with quiet tension. The events of the day replayed in Jasper’s mind again and again.Sophia’s kidnapping. The destroyed USB.Detective Diamond’s death. And the message left behind.Jasper Brennan.Someone wanted him involved.Jasper leaned back slightly in the chair and picked up his phone. He dialed Rowan's number. The call connected after only two rings.“Sir,” Rowan’s familiar voice came through the line. “How are things over there?” Jasper asked.“It is stable for now." Rowan narrated, “But the elders have called for a meeting at the Brennan's Estate. They are not happy about the sudden movement." “It's none of their business now I travel." Jasper said. Rowan paused for a while, then, “News travels fast, sir." “What do you mean?” "News

Jasmine blinked, “The family? Again?”She knew the family were involved in the accident last time and damaged her legs. But the number looks fake.”Jasper’s jaw tightened.“Of course it is.”He turned toward the security team.“Check eve
