Even if she didn't entirely love him, she didn't want him beaten like a child.

But Dexter remained unfazed.

Vector smirked and pointed at Dexter in that instant. Oh, yes he was enjoying this. He didn't think Ray's influence would come in handy so soon but this will be worth it.

Though their relationship was a transaction, he didn't mind. As long as Ray got the job done.

The hall fell silent but the intention increased as Ray inched close to Dexter as if about to chop his head off.

Vector smirked, “Kill him if you can, Mr. Williams.”

Dexter narrowed his eyes as he heard the name similar to the man his grandfather introduced him to earlier.

Then he goes ahead to ask if Ray is related to Mr. Williams, the same one who works for Bill Wilson. And as soon as Ray heard the description, he froze.

He creased his brows, scanning Dexter's appearance with a shocking look. “Where did.. how did you get that information?”

He got his father's description so well, he wasn't just s

Just enough to remind Byron of the gulf between them—that all this time, he had been nothing more than a pawn.Byron’s breath came fast, ragged. His vision blurred at the edges. Sabrina sat alone in the vast silence of Byron’s mansion, the bathroom tiles glowing faintly under soft yellow light. Her hand trembled as she lifted the small white stick. The pink line stared back at her. Her palm covered her mouth, muffling the sharp gasp that escaped.Pregnant.Her heart hammered against her ribs. Pregnant… for Byron? Her reflection in the mirror looked like a stranger—eyes wide, face pale, hair falling in strands over her cheeks. A bitter laugh slipped from her lips, choked with disbelief. The test clattered against the marble sink as her knees buckled. She pressed her forehead to the mirror, whispering to herself, “What have you done, Sabrina?”But there was no answer. Only silence. Only the faint echo of a future she hadn’t planned for.Far across the city, the night vibrated with tension.Byron’s convoy cut through the streets like a moving shadow. Three black SUVs rolled to a stop at the edge of Fibonacci’s compound. The engines died in unison, leaving only t

Byron stood there, the phone pressed against his ear though the call already ended. The silence was deafening. His lungs fought for air. His jaw clenched so hard it ached. Slowly, he lowered the phone, his hand trembling—not with weakness, but with the kind of fury and dread that made even the hardest men quake. Then, in a burst of violence, Byron hurled the phone across the room. It shattered against the wall.“FIND HER!” His roar shook the walls, his voice thundering with a primal ferocity that made the guards flinch. He pointed his gun at the men nearest him, eyes blazing with both terror and wrath. “Turn this place upside down! Tear the floors open if you have to! If we don’t bring her out in three minutes, my sons..” His voice broke, just for a heartbeat, before hardening again. “..my sons are dead.”His chest heaved, sweat breaking along his brow. Fear gripped him like a vice, but it only fueled the savagery in his command. No one had ever seen Byron Wilson like this—powerful, c

The next morning, a door swung open. For a moment, a heavy silence followed.Byron stood at the threshold, his gaze sweeping the empty room. The bed was cold. The chains hung loose, clinking softly against the wall like laughter mocking him. A single cuff lay open, dangling as if someone had slipped free. The air shifted. His face hardened. His jaw locked. A deadly stillness fell over him, the kind of silence before a storm breaks.Without thinking, he pulled his trigger, circling the room like he wanted to hear a faint cry.BANG!The sound exploded like cannon fire. Byron’s gun smoked, a hole splintering the wooden frame beside the door. The guards behind him jolted, some nearly dropping their weapons.Every breath in the hallway stopped.Byron’s voice followed, low and guttural, vibrating through the walls.“Search. The. Entire. Compound!” he barked breathlessly. No one hesitated. Boots thundered down the corridors, radios buzzed, orders barked. The mansion turned into a hive of cha

I was only—only delivering food!”“Then deliver it and keep your eyes shut.” Her words dropped low, venomous. “Whatever you think you saw, you didn’t. Do you understand me?”The boy’s head bobbed so fast it was a wonder his neck didn’t snap. “Yes, Mistress. I swear, I saw nothing.”Sabrina leaned closer, her whisper colder than steel. “If a word of this reaches Byron, your tongue will be cut out before you can utter his name.”His breath stuttered. “I won’t speak. Ever. I swear on my life.”“Good.” With a flick of her hand, she dismissed him. The boy fled, boots scuffing against stone, the heavy door slamming shut behind him.Silence pressed in, broken only by the faint drip of water in the far corner. At last, Sabrina turned back to Amaya. For a moment, the mask slipped.
