Ken’s motorcycle stopped in front of a large house according to the address. The yard was spacious, and the building itself looked magnificent with two floors full of glass and a wide balcony.
Before he even had the chance to knock, the door was already open and a servant stood there, neatly dressed, his expression flat.
“You’re from the delivery service, right?”
Ken nodded and answered, “Yes. This is the order.”
The servant glanced at it briefly.
“Oh, okay, wait a moment.”
Without waiting for a response, he went back inside and closed the door, letting Ken stand outside while holding a large bouquet of flowers in his hands.
A few seconds passed and the door opened again.
“We’ve confirmed it. Please follow me,” the servant said. “My master requested it to be handed over directly by you.”
Ken frowned slightly, but said nothing and simply followed him inside.
The interior was spacious and bright. Marble floors, expensive paintings, and the clean scent of the room. His shoes felt unworthy of stepping on that floor.
The servant walked ahead, without saying much.
They stopped in front of a large door. From inside, loud music could be heard, followed by noisy laughter and singing.
The servant opened the door.
“Please go in,” he said, then stood to the side, letting Ken enter on his own.
Ken slowly stepped inside. the sound immediately rang loudly in his ears and colorful lights flashed. Several young people sat on a large sofa, some laughing, some holding microphones.
And in the middle, a man sat casually, leaning back, his expression arrogant. Lizzy’s new boyfriend, Miles. His eyes immediately fixed on Ken.
“Turn it off first,” he said shortly but loudly.
One of his friends pressed the remote. The music stopped, the room became quieter, leaving only the echo of the previous noise.
Miles smiled faintly at Ken.
“You came very fast this time.”
Ken didn’t answer, but his friendly smile faded slightly. He had already suspected something was off when the servant asked him to come in here, just didn’t expect to meet these two again so soon.
But to complete the order and get points from the system, he had to hold himself back.
“This is your order, and please complete the payment immediately.”
He intended to hand over the flowers, take the payment, and leave. But of course, it wouldn’t be that easy.
“Bring it here, you’re not in a hurry, right? Besides, as a delivery guy your time isn’t worth hundreds of thousands of dollars per minute,” Miles said in a voice that sounded casual, but his displeasure was clear.
Before Ken could answer, another man asked, “Hey, who is he anyway?”
Miles glanced to his side, where Lizzy sat quietly. Then he looked back at Ken.
“Her ex-boyfriend,” he answered lightly.
The room immediately exploded with laughter. They already knew Lizzy wasn’t from their circle, but didn’t expect it to be this far below.
“Haha, seriously, Liz? This man is your ex? How cute.”
Lizzy smiled faintly without saying anything, her eyes blinking lightly. She felt embarrassed, but there was nothing she could do.
One of the men sitting at the end of the sofa looked Ken up and down, then whistled softly.
“Damn… this delivery guy?” he said with a chuckle. “I thought at least Liz’s ex would have a look that’s… well, more decent.”
The friend next to him chimed in, pretending to defend, “Hey, don’t be like that. Maybe he has other advantages.”
He leaned forward slightly, staring at Ken with a crooked smile.
“For example… being able to endure hunger?”
Laughter erupted again.
One of the women sitting near the table also spoke up, her tone light but piercing.
“No wonder Liz moved on so fast,” she said while playing with her hair. “If I had to eat instant noodles every day, I’d run away too.”
“Hey, don’t get it wrong. Instant noodles are expensive now, bro. Maybe that’s already fine dining for him.”
“Street-version fine dining,” another added, met with louder laughter.
Ken didn’t move. His hands still held the flowers, slightly tighter than before. He didn’t know why these two were bothering him again and making him feel humiliated like this.
His hands clenched tightly, and he opened his mouth to speak, but before he could say a single word, someone's voice cut him off.
“I’m curious. Where did you two used to go on dates? The roadside? Or to a place to eat but waiting for promos?”
“Buy one get one free promo, right? The free one is plain water.”
Laughter once again filled the room.
Ken lifted his head slightly. His eyes were no longer filled with emotion like before.
Of course he felt embarrassed and a little inferior, but more than that he was very upset.

Ken blinked.“Regularly?”“Yes,” the old man replied as though the matter had already been decided. “Other couriers ask too many questions and work too slowly.”His gaze swept over Ken from head to toe.“You're fast enough, and you've got a decent amount of guts.”The corner of Ken's mouth twitched slightly.'A decent amount of guts? More like a decent amount of bad luck...'Then the image of the stack of bills Adrian had tipped him flashed through his mind again.'...But the tip wasn't bad either.'He sighed inwardly.'Whatever. I'll just treat him as a VIP client.'Then, without realizing it, he muttered quietly, “Even though this client's kind of troublesome... and a little annoying.”“What?”The old man's eyebrows immediately rose.Ken instinctively straightened his posture.“Huh? Nothing, Grandpa.”His smile instantly turned awkward.“I was just saying... if you ever need another courier, feel free to call me.”For a few seconds, the old man simply looked at him before nodding in

More than a dozen pairs of eyes followed the young man until the door slowly closed behind him.Silence still filled the room. Several people still looked confused. They had just watched a courier barge into an important meeting, nearly get handed over to the police......and then leave carrying a tip large enough to make most of the people in the room jealous. The four security guards who had been the most aggressive could only stand there stiffly. One of them secretly glanced at Ken's wallet, where the money had just been tucked away.'Just for delivering a bag, he got a tip that big... “Let go!”Ken instinctively struggled to break free. He was still gripping the black leather bag tightly. One of the security guards immediately bowed toward the meeting participants.“We sincerely apologize for interrupting your meeting. This man forced his way in without permission.”He shot Ken a sharp glare.“We suspect he's an intruder. It's possible that he has criminal intentions.”The room immediately filled with whispers. Several people began looking at Ken with wary expressions.“I'm not an intruder!”Ken immediately protested.“I'm a delivery! I'm here to deliver a package to Mr. Adrian!”He raised the black leather bag to chest level.“The person who hired me was an old man named—”“Enough!” The security guard cut him off sharply, “Stop making up stories! Ken slowly pulled the bag back.“Sorry. Where is Mr. Adrian having his meeting?”The receptionist looked slightly puzzled.“At our branch office, East Central Tower B. Ken stared at the transparent red screen floating at the corner of his vision.[Accept Mission?][Yes] [No]His brows furrowed even deeper.“Forty-five minutes...” he muttered inwardly. His gaze slowly shifted toward the road packed with vehicles. He had delivered orders to the East Central Business District several times before, and he knew all too well that this time of day was every courier's worst nightmare.Traffic jams, long red lights, and endless lines of vehicles that barely seemed to move.If he was lucky, he could make it in under an hour. If luck wasn't on his side, it could take even longer.Ken gently bit his lower lip.“If I accept it and fail... wouldn't I just be wasting my time and energy?”His finger almost moved toward No, but just before making his choice, a thought crossed his mind.He raised his gaze.“System, if I reject the mission... does that count as a failure or not?”The moment he finished asking, the blue screen in front of him immediately changed.[Missi
