Upon arriving at the yacht, Tedmond noticed three men in suits standing beside it. They were bodyguards responsible for checking the guests' cards. Persis handed one of them a card. The man glanced at it before raising his head to look at her and Tedmond.

"You can go in. Access granted," one of the men said, stepping aside to let them pass.

Persis retook Tedmond's arm inside the yacht and led him in. The interior was so cozy that Tedmond couldn't help but glance around. Soft golden lights reflected off the polished wooden floors, casting a warm glow over the elegantly decorated space. A slow jazz melody hummed in the background, blending with the gentle lapping of the waves against the vessel.

Tedmond took in the setting—white linen-covered tables, a bar stocked with expensive liquor, and a few well-dressed guests engaged in hushed conversations. The air smelled of salt and luxury.

"Relax," Persis said with a smirk, settling into her chair. "This is supposed to be fun."

Seeing the frown on Tedmond’s face, Gerald scoffed before turning and walking away. Then came Maxine, chewing gum lazily, her face full of smugness. “You think you’re tough? Sitting in that chair like you mattered? You looked like a scared little boy the second those men showed up.”Evelyn followed. She didn’t say much. She just glanced at him, clicked her tongue, and muttered, “Disgrace.” Like he wasn’t even worth a proper insult.Tina came next. “Hope you enjoy the silence, Tedmond. It’s going to be your best friend now.”She laughed and walked off like she’d just won a game she barely understood. Then came Otis.Still clutching his side, he leaned against the wall and peeked in through the hole in the door, his grin sickening.“You like stealing things, huh? Let’s see if you enjoy watching them get taken back from behind bars.”He smacked the wooden frame once and walked away with a groan of satisfaction. They were done. Or so Tedmond thought.Because as the rest of the family’s fo

Tedmond’s eyes shifted toward the group of men who walked into the room. They were all dressed in black, grins stretching across their faces like they couldn’t wait to get started. Some looked to be in their forties, while a few had dyed hair that clashed with their graying beards. Tedmond could tell they were older men trying to appear younger, but it didn’t change the fact that they all looked rough, like men who had long been familiar with violence. They didn’t say a word. They just stood there, filling the space with a heavy, silent pressure.Even though they hadn’t been present earlier, Tedmond knew. These were the men who had been hired to track him down when he was missing. He remained still in his chair, unfazed. Turning to Frank, he asked calmly, “What are those men here for?”Frank didn’t respond. His gaze was already on the group, men he had texted earlier during the conversation. With a snap of his fingers, he had summoned them inside, expecting Tedmond to panic. But the

Hearing Tedmond say such a thing, Adeline couldn’t believe her ears. When they first spoke about Benedict, she hadn’t considered why the lawyer would betray them. After all, they had done nothing to him, or so she thought.Benedict had worked with them for years. He was the one she trusted with the documents, the only one she ever relied on to prepare them. There was no way he would have betrayed them without a reason.Eventually, she convinced herself that his betrayal had something to do with Tedmond, the only person who benefited from the situation. But now, hearing Tedmond speak, her brows furrowed in confusion.Adeline scoffed at herself. As if Tedmond of all people would tell the truth.“We did nothing to him that would make him betray us like that. You must have blackmailed him into doing this,” she said, her face twisted into a frown.“That’s right,” Tina chimed in immediately. “Benedict had no reason to betray us unless you betrayed him first. And I doubt he accepted a bribe

Faced with Tedmond’s words, the Griffins had no idea how to react. They couldn’t understand why he had walked in and immediately started taunting them, as if he had a personal vendetta against each and every one of them.To them, it felt like he had trespassed into their home, beaten up one of their sons, and stirred up more tension for no valid reason. All they could see was a bitter young man lashing out. None of them realized how long he had been standing outside, listening to everything they had said.“Tedmond, stop this!” Tina snapped, stepping forward. “That’s enough. He tried to hit you, and you beat him up. Fine. You defended yourself.”Gerald turned sharply to her, eyes narrowing. “What do you mean by fine?!” he demanded. “He hit my son so hard he’s curled up like a baby, and you think that’s fine? Are you listening to yourself?!”Adeline finally spoke, her tone impatient. “Yes, Tina’s right. We’ve been waiting for Tedmond to return so we could handle this. Otis swung first a

Tedmond looked at his stepmother, his gaze unreadable. He had entered the mansion to meet with them, but paused at the entrance when he heard voices coming from inside. He had heard everything they said, especially the part about the lawyer. Now, Tedmond was certain the lawyer was the one who had made the documents valid, though he had no idea why. After all, there was no history between them. The man had never mocked him, and they had never exchanged a single private word.Still, Tedmond wanted to find him and understand the reason behind his actions. But one thing was clear: the lawyer must hold a grudge against either Otis or Gerald. And Tedmond couldn’t deny that the man’s actions had helped him. After hearing all they had to say, he decided to make his presence known, which brought everything to where it was now.“What do you mean?!” Maxine yelled, her eyes flaring with fury as she rose to her feet. She had tried to find him and failed, and now that he had shown up and was disres

  • CHAPTER 333

Gerald had gotten tired of hearing Otis yell like that and decided to do something, and just as he had agreed, Richard had too.“Enough, Otis!” Gerald snapped, stepping in front of him. “You’ve crossed the line.”“You don’t speak to your aunt like that,” Richard added firmly. “Are you mad? That’s your father’s sister. Show some respect!”“Exactly,” Evelyn said, rising from her seat. “You talk about legacy and honor, but you cannot even control your mouth in front of elders? If anyone’s disgracing this family, it’s you.”All the family members were visibly annoyed that Otis had dared to speak to Tina like they were age mates just because his assets had been stolen. Seeing the others speak about it prompted them to voice their opinions.Lisa folded her arms and shook her head. “You want everyone to hunt Tedmond down, yet you insult the very people trying to help. No wonder everything is falling apart.”Maxine stood next, her voice icy. “We are all frustrated, but don’t you dare think th
