“Are you sure you can trust him?” Dane asked.

“Well, yes,” Butcher replied. “Paul’s very important to this mafia. You don’t get along with anyone here apart from Jane, but I trust him more than I trust you, to be honest.”

Dane gave a crooked smile. “That’s not the problem. I wanted to ask you something. You once said you were going to pay me for a mission. Have you forgotten?”

Butcher narrowed his eyes. “Well, yes—I have. But this isn’t the time to bring up things like that. And besides, I’m sure you don’t need the money for anything right now.”

“Well, you’re right. I don’t,” Dane admitted, leaning back. “I just wanted to see how it feels to hold a hundred grand.”

Butcher chuckled faintly. “After I’m done with my mission tomorrow, I’ll give it to you. That, I promise.”

Dane smiled, satisfied. Butcher rose from the edge of his bed, gave him a nod, and walked out of the room.

What does he mean he trusts Paul more than me? Dane thought bitterly. Well… it’s true. I don’t really know anyon

  • Over 300 Rooms

“Everyone is so busy,” Dane thought, watching the other Mafia members. The ship was crowded, though not as much as the chaos outside. Over 300 men were packing their clothes, guns, and everything they’d need. It was massive. Nearby, about 35 men waited, standing in formation, ready for orders since everyone else had already finished packing. By the time Dane looked up, it was already 11 a.m.“But why did Butcher have to leave that dude in charge of the mission?” Dane muttered. “And I haven’t even seen Jane since I got here. Everyone’s been jealous of me since day one… though they’re usually the ones betraying. But this poor guy… I don’t know, I just like his look.”Just then, Jane tapped him on the shoulder.“What—hey, what are you talking about?” she asked.“Well…” Dane started.Jane smiled. “Butcher already told you, right? Power is in charge.”“I don’t like that guy,” Dane said.“Well,” Jane replied, “it’s everyone you don’t like, so it doesn’t matter what you say.”“Yeah, I guess

  • The Test of Trust

Butcher lowered himself onto the edge of Dane’s bed, his expression unreadable. “It’s going to be on a yacht,” he said at last. “A massive one. Other mafia bosses will be there. There’ll be drinks, music, a party… but don’t be fooled. It’s not just a party—it’s a mission.” Dane stiffened. “What kind of mission?” “That’s the thing,” Butcher replied, his tone dark. “He hasn’t told me what exactly I’m supposed to do. The only information I was given is that once I’m there, he’ll give me the real instructions. Whatever it is, it’ll be his test. He wants me to gain his trust.” Dane shook his head in disbelief. “So you’re walking blind into this?” Butcher gave a small, humorless laugh. “That’s the game. I know he’s watching, testing every move. But if I want to get close enough to the king of all mafias to see his real face… this is the only way.” “Yes, you are right. But still… yacht, party? That sounds like too much fun,” Dane said, smirking. Butcher’s eyes hardened. “Change that m

  • The King’s Command

“That is something I don’t know,” Paul admitted. “But I do know this—he’s connected to someone in the underworld. Someone just as powerful. That’s where his sudden rise comes from. Those connections.”Butcher narrowed his eyes. “Maybe you’re right. Maybe you’re wrong. Either way, I leave tomorrow. Be ready. This mission… it’ll be on you to see it through. Dane and Jane have already done enough. It’s time they rest. I haven’t told them yet, but this one—I’ll handle it myself.”Paul nodded firmly. “Understood, sir. As you wish.”“Good,” Butcher replied with finality.Paul turned and left the office. Almost immediately, he began giving orders, shouting through the corridors. Men who hadn’t started packing were told to move their things at once. The announcement echoed across the ship.Dane stirred awake, irritated by the noise booming through the speakers. “Who the hell is making all that noise? Some of us are trying to sleep…” he muttered. But sleep wouldn’t return. The weight in his ch

  • Orders from Above

What am I even thinking? Butcher’s mind swirled, heavy with thoughts he couldn’t share with anyone. He sat alone in his office, arms folded, eyes fixed on the dark corner of the room.I’m really lost in thought… this ball, this mission. No one understands what’s coming. Something big. Leo is going to strike soon. His jaw clenched. The governor of Naples had sent him a message earlier that day. The request wasn’t just from the governor—the order came from the one above all. The king of all mafias.Butcher leaned back in his chair. I cannot disobey. Even if I wanted to, I can’t. When I joined the Mafia, I swore to climb closer to the top, closer to the one who commands all mafias. I am a boss… but not the king. Not yet. That is my goal. That is the summit I must reach. If I can stand at that height, then I’ve fulfilled everything I set out to do.A sharp knock interrupted his thoughts. The office door creaked open, and Paul stepped in. One of his most trusted men.“How are things going?

  • Relocation

Butcher exhaled slowly, his voice dropping lower as Dane and Jane stepped closer.“It’s good they’re back,” he said, almost to himself. “Even if I never knew who they really were… it doesn’t matter. They survived.”He turned to them fully now, his expression hardening.“Listen carefully. I’ll tell you both the plan before I tell the others. I don’t trust many people here. Some I’m meant to trust, but I can’t. If even one loose tongue slips, Leo will know everything. I won’t risk that.”Dane and Jane exchanged a glance but stayed silent.“Leo might make his move tomorrow—or the day after. We have to be ready. This ship is no longer safe. Every man, every weapon, every piece of equipment will be moved.” Butcher’s eyes narrowed. “We’re relocating to one of my mansions. The largest one I own. Three hundred rooms. Built like a castle. Big enough to fit everyone on this ship, and then some.”Jane blinked, startled. “Three hundred rooms?”Dane frowned. “Boss… you’re serious?”Butcher’s lips
