He thought about other possibilities, about doubling the money. He wouldn’t want to return in defeat.

Michael’s eyes shone in disbelief; Austin wasn’t only a Healer but a professional martial artist. One could tell from his movements that the men couldn’t stand his presence.

“Can’t you see that you are already losing? Why not quit and go home? Accept the shame.” Michael said from behind.

“That’s not possible,” David scoffed, he shot his brother a cold and menacing glance. “I am not leaving here with both of your heads.”

“I don’t think so, Dad. You have always allowed this woman to feel like she is in charge; ever since you brought her into the family, you have refused to listen to me. Nothing I do or say matters to you anymore, all you care about is her and the company.” Hannah said as tears welled up in her eyes.Mr. Prescott looked at his daughter; he felt a surge of emotion welling up inside. “I am a lady, and my happiness matters to me. I am not a trophy to be won or some goods to be handed away for free.”“What do you mean?” Claire asked furiously.Hannah’s tears or expression had no effect on her. She was more focused on joining her with Antonio for her own selfish benefit. “I am not interested in Antonio; I love Austin and would want to spend the rest of my life with him. I don’t care what you think about him, but he is the man my heart beat for.” She continued, “None of you know what Austin is capable of,” she paused staring at the eyes fixed on her. “Do you want to know the truth? Or did you just go out to pick a random stranger to deceive us?”Hannah gritted her teeth, she was about to utter a word before Austin interrupted her with his words.“No, Mrs. Prescott. Hannah and I have been dating for three months.” He sounded confident.Claire let out a bitter laugh, “Three months my foot. Do you think I am dull, if you have been dating for three months, why then is she introducing you now?” She asked. Then looked at Austin from top to bottom.“Where did you come out from? You don’t look like someone Hannah would want to be in a relationship with.” Her voice was laced with contempt.Mr. Prescott, “Darling, you shouldn’t have said that. Let the young man have his sit.”“Thank you, sir.”Austin sat, and Hannah followed, taking a seat beside him. From the few minutes he had stayed at the mansion, he could tell who was nice and wh
