For Kayla's sake

Michael looked sadly at his only daughter, who was 7 years old. The little girl was lying weakly on the patient's bed with medical equipment stuck in several parts of her body.

"Kayla, darling, you have to fight this disease," said Michael while kissing the back of his daughter's hand which was not stuck with the IV needle.

After hearing the sound of the door opening, Michael's attention began to divert, and he looked at the source of the sound.

“Mr Michael, can we talk outside?” asked the nurse in a low voice, but her eyes looked piercingly sharp.

Michael nodded his head and then stood up from his sitting position, not forgetting to kiss his daughter's forehead before he left the room.

The nurse folded her arms proudly in front of her chest when she saw Michael standing in front of her now.

"You must collect the medical costs of 200,000 dollars within 3 days. You are already too much in arrears on hospital fees. If Mr. Michael cannot pay, then the hospital will very regretfully have to stop your daughter's treatment," said the nurse firmly and threateningly.

Michael's face immediately turned pale after listening to what the nurse told him.

“Please don't do that to my daughter, she could lose her life. "The medical equipment attached to his body is his life support and you know that very clearly," said Michael pleading to the nurse with a pitiful expression.

To hell with pride, for Michael the most important thing now is that his little daughter must continue to receive treatment at this hospital. The leukemia disease suffered by his daughter could take her life at any time and as a father, Michael wanted to provide the best treatment for his little daughter.

“Mr Michael, what happens to your daughter is none of my business! "If you can't pay for the medical expenses, you should just look after your daughter at home, don't make our job difficult," said the nurse, openly insulting Michael without caring about her patient's condition.

Michael glanced briefly at several people passing by, they looked down at him, as if he was the most despicable person in the world because he couldn't pay for his daughter's medical expenses.

Michael looked at the cruel nurse, his intention to ask for help failed after seeing the cynical look from this hospital nurse.

“Now can Mr. Michael tell me when you can pay the hospital fees?” asked the nurse, urging Michael without caring about Michael's current anxiety.

Michael was silent, he was confused about where to find that much money, even though the amount of money in his wallet was only enough to feed himself and his wife for the next week, it was sad.

When Michael was busy with his thoughts, he heard the sound of loafers so loud that it caught his attention. It was his wife and he did not come alone but together with Hans, his wife's boss at the company.

“Michael, what is going on? What about Kayla's condition?” Alea asked with a worried face.

"The condition is still the same as before," answered Michael in a weak voice.

"Then why does your face look sad and anxious like this?" Alea asked.

"The hospital will stop Kayla's treatment if we cannot pay off the hospital fees of 200,000 dollars in the near future," said Michael with his head bowed helplessly.

"Where can we get that much money in the near future," said Alea with tears in her eyes.

"I will lend you 200,000 dollars, Michael," said Hans, who had only been listening to Alea and Michael's conversation.

Michael and Alea's attention was immediately focused on Hans.

Alea frowned, as if she felt strange at the kindness that Hans had given, the man so easily lent them that much money without thinking, as if showing the bad intentions in his heart.

“Mr Hans, I apologize in advance because I cannot accept your kindness at this time. "Michael and I will try to get the money ourselves," said Alea hesitantly as she said it.

Michael didn't like the way Hans looked at his wife. As a man, Michael certainly didn't feel strange about the adoring gaze that Hans was now showing when he looked at his wife.

"Mr. Hans, you can go now because I have something important to discuss with my wife," said Michael firmly, driving Hans away openly.

"Of course, I understand that," said Hans while smiling faintly at Alea.

Hans glanced sarcastically at Michael before walking away. Hans' hands were clenched tightly, as if trying to hold his emotions there.
