“Is there really someone?” The hope that suddenly surged after despair was stronger than anything Wilfred had ever felt.

He was out of breath, his voice shaky as he asked urgently, “Dr. Martinez, who is he? Where can I find him?”

He couldn’t wait another second. He needed answers, and he needed them now.

But what Wilfred didn’t yet realize was that the one who had caused the crisis, and the one who could potentially save his grandson, was the same person.

Dr. Martinez looked uncomfortable. The truth was, he didn’t have much information to offer, just a name.

Facing Wilfred’s anxious stare, Dr. Martinez admitted, “Mr. Anderson, I can’t say much. I only met him last night. All I know is his name, Hudson Brown. That’s it.”

Wilfred frowned. Half of the hope that had just sprung to life faded instantly. But deep down, he knew, he had no other choice.

Dr. Martinez had a legendary reputation in the medical world. If he wasn’t confident, he wouldn’t have brought it up.

“Ahem...”Arlo was the first to break the heavy silence in the room.He strolled over to Wilfred with a smug grin and said, “What’s the matter, old man? Cat got your tongue? Didn’t you just say you’d pay whatever price Hudson named? Well, he named it. So what’s the holdup? Don’t tell me the great Anderson family can’t cough up ten billion. Or maybe you’re hesitating because you don’t think your grandson’s worth that much?”Classic Arlo, cutting and clever. In just a few words, he had Wilfred cornered.“Shut up!” Wilfred snapped, eyes burning as he glared at Arlo. “Anderson family business is none of your damn concern!”He would’ve loved to punch Arlo right then and there, but the last thing he wanted was to piss off Hudson in the process. Deep down, he blamed Arlo, if that guy hadn’t encouraged Hudson to name his price, there was no way the kid would’ve said something as outrageous as ten billion.“Wilfred, watch your mouth,” Adrian jumped in. “This is the Lewis family’s house, not th

“Speaking of the devil, and he shows up.”The old housekeeper burst into the courtyard, clearly flustered.“What are you panicking for?” Arlo barked. “He’s already here. The door’s wide open, why didn’t you let him in?” He shot the man a glare. “How many people did he bring with him?”“Just him and that doctor from last night, the one they call the ‘Medical Saint,’ Dr. Martinez.”Arlo’s eyes narrowed. He brought Dr. Martinez? What was that supposed to mean?Suspicious, Arlo pushed himself up. “Let’s go see what this old bastard wants now.”In the living room, Wilfred caught sight of Arlo walking in. His steps were still a bit shaky, but his color looked much better than before. Wilfred’s face darkened. One of his reasons for coming, besides inviting Hudson, was to see for himself how Arlo was doing. And now, seeing the man clearly recovering from what should’ve been a terminal condition only confirmed something: Hudson must be the real deal.Arlo’s condition had been considered hopele

"Sir, we need to focus on treating William first!" Johnny reminded urgently, his voice shaking slightly with worry.Wilfred, whose rage just moments ago had erupted like a volcano, finally started to calm down. His breathing slowed as he reached out and took his unconscious grandson from Johnny's arms. “I heard the medical sage is staying at Rising Sun Hall. Go get him. Now.”As the head of a martial arts family, Wilfred knew a few treatment methods himself. After carrying William into the house, he began examining the boy’s injuries carefully. The more he checked, the colder his heart became. His expression darkened. His grandson wasn’t just injured, he was seriously damaged. Even with timely treatment, William might survive, but as for the martial path? That journey was likely over. And to Wilfred, cutting off someone’s martial arts future was no different than killing them."Aaarrgh!"The howl tore from his chest. The future of the Anderson family was gone. He couldn't accept it.S

The man who spoke looked to be in his thirties, dressed in flashy clothes—clearly trying too hard to look like some kind of cool player. Behind him stood an older man in his fifties, wearing a long coat and exuding an aura like some old-school martial arts guy.The younger man glanced at Hudson standing next to Ivory, smirking. “Ivory, your taste is seriously going downhill. This guy? Really? He looks like some pretty boy you picked off the street.” He scoffed. “A guy like this, what’s he even good for?”Hudson’s brow twitched slightly, irritation flashing in his eyes. But before he could speak, the guy, William Anderson, gave him a once-over and said mockingly, “What’s the matter, pretty boy? Can’t handle a few words from me?”Hudson’s expression turned cold. He wasn’t interested in playing nice anymore. Just as he was about to step forward, Ivory shot a glare at William and snapped, “You’d better watch your damn mouth, or I swear I’ll knock all your teeth out.”The Anderson and Lewi

Everyone in the room was frozen in place—Freya, Enzo, and even Ivory’s secretary, Kira. They all watched in disbelief as Ivory and Hudson walked away together. As the secretary of the president of Lewis Group, Kira knew just how critical this partnership was for the company. Every detail of the deal had already been negotiated. All they needed was a signature, and it would’ve been official. But now? All of it just got thrown out the window—because of a man Freya openly looked down on?Kira was still processing what had happened when a memory from that morning flashed in her mind. Two major companies had planned this meeting, and normally, Ivory would’ve attended something this important herself. She had even said she’d be handling the meeting personally. But when Kira called her earlier, Ivory told her she had to pick someone up and that the negotiation would be left in her hands. At the time, Kira had wondered who could be so important that Ivory would skip such a crucial meeting. No
