It was a warm Friday night. Work was done for most, and Weidweg Ciceli Stadium was alive with cheers and chants. The stands overflowed with families, students, and drunks, all carried on the same fever for football. Tonight, the Weid Devils faced off against the Baxford Lions.

The Lions came in proud, pressing with muscle through the middle. Their forwards tried to bulldoze the Devils’ defense with sheer weight. But the Devils had studied their opponents well. Midway through the first half, they shifted tactics, tightening the wings and baiting Baxford into the center. When the Lions charged in, Weidweg struck quick and clean. A stolen ball, a long pass down the flank, and their striker buried it past the keeper before Baxford knew what hit them.

By the end, the Lions were stumbling, their formation broken, their lungs gone. The Devils had run them in circles, finishing the match three goals to one.

The crowd spilled out. Some went home, some rushed for the pubs. A handful of college

Esme slipped through the walls into the attic. Keeping Levi in Cora’s room in such a sorry state would only make the child restless. She had come with an elixir, but her steps slowed when she saw him.Levi was already upright. No trace of wounds. No trace of the brutal beating that had almost ended him.Esme’s lips parted. Her voice lifted, sharper than she intended.“Elijah, Madon - come quick!”The two appeared in a blink, just as stunned as she was.“Eyy, see! I told you he’d bounce back.” Madon grinned and slapped Levi on the back. The young angel winced, his body stiffening from the jolt.“Well… maybe there’s still a bit of healing left,” Madon muttered.“Impressive,” Elijah said, his tone flat but his eyes fixed on Levi. “I’ve never seen an underling recover this fast after a beating like that.”Levi blinked, his mouth opening. “Azazel… Cora.”“Your chaperon went to Arioch for answers, dear. Cora is still growing,” Esme said, stroking his fur. “You’ve been out cold for days, Lev

  • Bringer of Ash.

ValtraTropos was a city in the heart of Valtra, home to one of the armies of the heavenly host. It was an impenetrable fortress that housed specially crafted prisons meant to hold the most notorious supernatural beings. Indeed, there were demons and angels deemed too troublesome to let roam free. Some also awaited eternal destruction.“To what do I owe this pleasant visit from the Titan herself?” Anok, Vice Archon of Valtra, greeted Mamaroth upon her unplanned arrival.“You look well, Vice Archon. Quite relaxed for one burdened with being a watchdog.” Mamaroth was not keen on exchanging pleasantries.“Haha, always uptight, I see.” Anok led the way. The two went way back, and not much needed to be said about how they felt toward each other.Mamaroth refused to dine with her host, stating that her visit would be brief. However, she did not refuse a glass of holy wine.“And here I thought you had come to ease my loneliness,” Anok said as he settled into his seat, occasionally scratching

There was no escaping the demon’s clutches- not on his own. And Levi’s lack of remembrance seemed to fuel the rage. “When you get there, tell them Flarion sent you there. You'll be an honorary guest in waiting. They will enjoy tormenting you,” said the demon as he pounded Levi to the ground. ‘Do angels truly die? Do they have a place to go after death?’ These questions hammered at Levi's naive heart. They were valid concerns, given the belief that angels had no souls. That their end meant vanishing into thin air-forever. At least demons were said to return to hell after annihilation, cursed to eternal damnation. Levi knew he wouldn’t make it. ‘Cora.’ That name mysteriously surfaced in his thoughts. Amid the chaotic racket, Levi tuned his ears, straining to catch a familiar heartbeat. And he found it, echoing steadily. That baby girl was probably hungry again. “I have to get to her”. Levi barely recognized the fragile hope he was clinging to as his skull emitted a crackli

"We cannot attack a human on a whim. One who looks like a nine-year-old at that," Azazel pointed out as the group glanced suspiciously at the child strolling down the road."Yeah, but what kid that age goes out on their own in the middle of the night? That's got to be ominous," Madon said."All this talk is useless. Wait here, I'll check it out." Elijah reverted to his human form. He levitated around and made it in front of the boy. The others observed as he approached. The boy stopped, hands hanging closely beside him, eyes darting up front."Young man, are you lost?" Elijah started with a warm tone. "It's not safe to be out at night. Where are your parents?" He bent forward, curving his lips slightly. But the boy was stiff, his eyes barely twitching.Elijah's smile only grew wider. "So it is true, there is a soul-eating demon around. I'm Elijah, by the way. What might your name be-"*Slash!*The others shuddered, their senses tingling at the sudden development. Just a stone's throw

A thick mist began to slither through the narrow streets of Weidweg, cloaking the town in an otherworldly haze. The air shimmered with an eerie, lavender glow.Azazel remained calm, his eyes narrowing with an electrifying glare as the mist thickened around him. This energy he sensed was no ordinary one. If they could present themselves in such a ghoulish way, then they had to be bad. From the heart of the fog emerged a silhouette. This form was ever-shifting, a legion of shadows and whispers making it impossible to discern their true nature. The fog clung to it, surging with every step they took."Show yourself," Azazel commanded."And if I don't?" The velvety voice of a woman resounded. "You act as if I intrude on your property when you are overstepping my domain.""Who are you?" Azazel asked."If you do not know who I am, perhaps a kiss from my butterflies will teach you." Before that statement was complete, bright fire freckles shot into the sky. They were nothing simple specks tha
