The Temple of Lilies shimmered that day brighter than it had in years.

From the highest spire of Cellok, bells tolled, deep, resonant, and full of silver light.

It was Snake Eyes’ wedding day, the first union to be sanctioned since the decree of the thirteenth generation.

The courtyards overflowed with Liroids, assassins and priests, artisans and hunters,

each wearing their guild mark stitched into silk.

Lilies of violet and shadow bloomed along the marble paths, their scent thick as starlight.

Night Liroid, regal in obsidian and silver, stood among her daughters as the guests arrived.

Beside her was Venom, radiant and smiling, her daughter Asin tugging at her gown.

And a little apart, as ever, stood Doom, silent, poised, unreadable, with Rhel beside her.

His presence drew curious glances.

That hair, like living flame.

That composure, too still for a mortal.

Even the priests murmured, wondering which bloodline he hailed from.

When the wedding hymns began, the high priestesses took the

Arrival at BronBron shimmered under the pink-touched sky, its white towers glowing like bone polished by moonlight. Snake and Dragon rode through the gates in silence until they heard shouting.Pattern’s shouting. No, Pattern’s pleading. They turned a corner and found Glass Liroid pacing frantically in front of her manor, tearing through scrolls, jars, robes, and whatever else she could get her hands on. “Where is it?! Where is it?! Pattern I swear by the founder’s bones…”Pattern looked like he hadn’t slept in weeks. “Glass, please breathe…”“DO NOT TELL ME TO BREATHE!”Snake blinked.Dragon whispered: “She’s worse than usual.”Pattern saw them first and ran over as though salvation had arrived. “Oh, thank the gods…please help me. Please. She’s been like this since last night.”Glass whirled around and marched up to Snake. “WHY are you just standing there?!”“…I only just arrived.”“FIND IT.” “Find what?”Glass froze. Her eyes softened, only for a heartbeat, before she quickly turn

  • House of Children, House of Storms

The First Year of ShiverSnake had never known a year could pass so quickly. He spent every night holding Shiver close, feeling the child’s small fists clutch his robe, listening to the soft whines of pain that rose whenever the curse marks burned. Some nights, Shiver cried until his voice broke.Other nights, he only whimpered in his sleep, the tar marks glowing faintly under the moonlight before fading.Snake never complained. He held him until the trembling ceased.Rage teased him often: “You look like a sleepless mortal, brother.”Dragon laughed louder: “He is. With the way he worships that child.”But they knew.Snake had waited twenty-eight years to hold his son.Every cry, every breath was a victory. And slowly, very slowly,Shiver grew stronger. He laughed. He crawled. He glared at anyone who tried to take his lily leaf blanket.Even Evilside watched from afar, unseen in the shadows of Kindraloy, the faintest warmth in her hollow heart.Another Mission — BronPeace never laste

  • The Serpent’s Blessing

Evilside Watching UnseenHigh above the breakfast hall, where the lilies carved into the ceiling swayed with unnatural wind, a shadow thickened…And parted.Evilside stood unseen, veiled in her own divine darkness. Her gaze rested not on Trina, not on Rage, nor Dragon, nor the bustling priestesses,But on Snake.Seated calmly, laughing faintly, his son in his arms. Her lips curled into a soft, almost human smile. She whispered like a ghost touching the world:Evilside: “My serpent… let our race begin.”The air trembled. No one noticed.Except the lilies. They bowed.Doom ArrivesA sudden hush spread through the hall. The golden veils parted.Doom entered, not in her war armor, but in a dark embroidered gown, her silver braids cascading like chains. Her eyes glowed faintly violet, the sign she was still healing, still dangerous.Trina’s breath caught. She grabbed Snake’s arm and instantly hid behind him.Snake straightened, protective and tense.Rage and Dragon moved subtly closer.Doo

  • The Cruel Mother

Trina awoke to the sound of soft humming. Not gentle. Not warm.A sound like a lullaby sung by a blade. She blinked, her body still weak from the Lily Ceremony, and saw Evilside seated beside her, pale fingers tracing little glowing sigils on Shiver’s tiny chest.Shiver giggled.Actually giggled.Evilside crooked a brow at the infant. “You should have died… but you are stubborn. Just like your father.”Trina tried to sit up, pain rushing through her abdomen.Snake lay beside her on the other side of the bed, deep asleep, chest rising and falling in heavy breaths.Unmoving.Too still. “Snake…?”Evilside didn’t even look up. “He will not wake until I will it. He needed rest.”Not a suggestion.A decree.Trina’s voice was small. “Why… why did you name a child you cursed?”Evilside finally turned her head. Her expression was unreadable. Her eyes, ancient emerald flame, glimmered with something deeper than cruelty. “Because he is my kin. And you are not.”Trina stiffened. “I am his mother.

  • The Naming of Shiver

The Journey to CellokThe road to Cellok was the longest Snake had ever walked.Every movement, every jolt of the carriage wheels, every shift of airmade the child scream. Not a normal infant’s cry.But a raw, tearing sound as if the curse carved pain into him with every breath.Rage held him at first. Then Trina. Then Rage again, when Trina nearly fainted.Snake sat opposite them, fists clenched, eyes glowing faintly with his divine healing, straining to soothe a curse it could not break.Rage whispered, “Snake… he is fighting the curse. Every second.”Trina, “I can’t watch this…I can’t…”Snake cupped her cheek. “He fights because he is mine. He will endure. We all will.”But inside, even he was crumbling. The closer they came to Cellok, the louder the screams. As though the curse knew exactly where they were going. As though it feared what awaited. The Main Temple of EvilsideCellok rose before them, a vast city of dark stone and gleaming silver roofs. At its heart stood the Temple
