"How sure are we that it's as honest as possible? It could be lying." David asked Gandu who rubbed the stubble on his chin.

"It is a fairy and fairies don't lie. That's the natural order,so calm yourself." The older man responded.

"I know, but Conrad is an anomaly, I am an anomaly. Your whole life practically has you dealing with anomalies. Maybe for once, the fairy lore has been shifted especially since its contact with the dark magic or dark matter." He argued.

"You may be right, but what if it said the truth? We have to give it the benefit of doubt." The older man convinced. David argued no further, beating his arms against his sides.

He turned back in the direction of the guys. They were all still around the fairy, watching it sparkle.

"So, let's say we believe you. That thing you saw in your world, destroying it. Was there anything else it said or did that you remember before popping up here and playing imaginary friend with Audrey?" David questioned.

She was afraid, her legs hitting each other occasionally, mid stepping and tripping over. He laughed darkly, inching towards her. "I am done playing games with you." He spoke and rushed at her. In that moment David came swooping in again, slamming him on the ground. He got up, angered by the player's interruption. "You stupid delinquent. Don't you ever learn?!" He yelled. David scoffed, raising his shoulders. "Maybe I don't care about the consequences." He responded. He dodged downwards, evading an attack from one fairy. He rapidly turned, delivering a hard punch to the second fairy's chest. Immediately, he snapped the fairy's neck, letting it drop dead.…at least momentarily.     Zeddicus, the twins and Meena kept moving at an equally fast pace, watching the multitude of people en route the various exit points already installed in the town. A knight saluted Zeddicus, willing to join him but the latter dismiss him, instructing him to focus on the people…they needed his service more. She whispered then turned to leave. "Audrey, Enitan and Gandu. Start packing. Grab as many weapons as you can carry and get to the rendezvous with the people. We'll set up a perimeter around Ladus."
