As he stepped out of the massive building, he could feel countless eyes following him every moment.
Just then, his pocket vibrated. He pulled out his phone and checked the message and unexpectedly, it was none other than the reward payment from the registration. "Exactly what I need to move forward with my next plan," he muttered under his breath, seeing the payment lying there in his account. "This will go a long way for me." $15k was a really big amount of money but that was to Sammy who couldn't even boast of $50 in his account talk more of thousands. To Alden, it was like a pocket change. Now that he was officially registered, his next move was already clear in his mind. Minutes passed and with the help of his phone, he was able to find his way around the city. "Here is the place," He stopped before a building and entered without hesitation. "Welcome to our weapon pavilion," a boy around his age greeted him warmly. The boy seemed to be an apprentice and stood nearby as Alden stepped inside. Alden returned the kind gesture with a nod. Looking around the place, there were different types of weapons, ranging from swords, knives and spears to others he doesn't even know. They were all on display here. Seeing Alden walk further inside with clear interest in the weapons, the boy rushed behind him. "Brother, with my guidance, you will be able to find the weapon that suits you quickly," the boy offered with a smile. "Take me to the low-rank section first." Since the $15k was the only money in the account, he must try to minimize and use it wisely, if not he would have gone for the best weapon here if he got enough money. The boy nodded and led Alden to a corner of the pavilion where the lower-ranked weapons were displayed. This section was filled with simple swords, daggers and spears, all crafted with basic materials and designs. Alden walked slowly inside, his eyes scanning each weapon carefully and his fingers brushing lightly over their cool surfaces. He picked up a few swords and daggers, testing their balance but wasn't satisfied with them. Using his system's character scan on them, it was confirmed that they weren't suitable for him. Thankfully, the system made it easier for him to evaluate the weapons, saving him time and effort. Alden frowned slightly as he put one back in its place. While the weapons were all good, they just didn't meet his standards. They were either too heavy, too clumsy, or simply didn't suit his style. He had never handled a weapon before, but he had an eye for quality when he saw one. If he had enough CP, he wouldn't even be here. He would have purchased weapons directly from the system, but he didn't have the points for that now so he had to go through this path. "Perhaps you like to try the D-rank weapons section," the boy suggested, noticing Alden's dissatisfaction. "You might find what you're looking for there." After checking around one last time, Alden sighed. 'What was I expecting from low-rank weapons?' He felt like facepalming himself before proceeding to the section the boy had suggested. As he entered the D-rank section, his attention was immediately drawn to a set of daggers displayed on a nearby shelf. They were small, with sharp, curved blades. He stepped forward and picked one up, feeling its weight in his hand. As soon as he held the dagger, a cold warm sensation washed over him. It was light and balanced, perfect for quick movements and swift strikes. He swung it lightly through the air, and it slashed effortlessly in a fast motion. With the dagger in his hand, he could feel some energy flow into his body. [-INFO-] WEAPON: Low-tier D-rank dagger ATTRIBUTE: A supportive-type weapon that grants energy for combat. [-INFO-] "Feels good," Alden said, handing the dagger back to the boy. "I'll take two of these." A small smile tugged at the corner of his lips. This was exactly what he needed. The boy's face lit up with excitement. "You've got a good eye for weapons brother. These daggers are lightweight, easy to conceal, and perfect for quick strikes. Their special attribute is supportive, providing energy to your body during combat. That's why our customers who prefer agility over brute strength favor them." "I guess there should be a sword that pairs well with these," Alden said. "Of course, brother! Let me show you a few options," the boy replied, leading Alden to the sword section of the pavilion. Among the displayed swords was a longsword, 2cm wide with a slightly curved blade. Its hilt was simple and well-crafted with a snake design, looking sharp and sturdy. The boy carefully lifted it and presented it to Alden. The sword wasn't particularly eye-catching, but Alden wasn't interested in appearances. From where he stood, he felt an urge to try it out immediately after checking that the sword had a good attribute. "This D-rank sword is lighter than most, yet still has good attack power," the boy explained. "Like the daggers, it has a supportive attribute. It allows you to strike through the air toward an opponent even if they're slightly out of range, as long as they're just a few steps away." "It's perfect for someone who values both speed and strength. And it pairs well with the daggers you picked. You've got yourself a good arsenal, man." Alden took the sword, his hand in excitement as he examined it. He swung it in a wide arc and the blade sliced through the air with a satisfying whoosh, delivering powerful blows. It felt excellent like it was made specifically for him. Its lightweight design and length allowed for both close combat and long-range strikes—it was perfect. "Package this one as well," Alden said, his voice steady but with a hint of satisfaction as he finally found what he wanted. The boy beamed, clearly pleased with the sale. "Good choice, brother. I'll have them prepared for you right away. Would you like anything else?" "No, I'll come back if I need another weapon. These will do for now." As the boy hurried off to package the items, Alden remained in the pavilion, still glancing over the remaining weapons. Soon, the boy returned and handed him his purchases. "Here you go! You're all set." "How much for everything?" Alden asked as he accepted the sword and daggers which were now safely sheathed and placed inside a small bag. "Six thousand," the boy replied. Alden wasn't surprised by the amount; he had already predicted the price. Since they were D-rank weapons, the cost was fair. "But since you're here for the first time, take it for five thousand eight hundred (5,800) as a welcome gift from this old man," a voice called out from the other side of the room. Alden turned to see an elderly man, presumably the shop owner sitting at a dark corner of the place. "I appreciate Senior's generosity," Alden said with a slight bow. He pulled out his phone and the boy provided the payment code. Within seconds, the transaction was complete. "Stay safe and keep up the good work," Alden whispered jokingly to the boy, who chuckled in response. As he stepped out of the pavilion, he felt a sudden excitement in his heart for his final battle. He had always wanted to wield and master a sword but couldn't in the past. Now, he finally had one. Maybe somehow finding himself in this world wasn't that had. ... Chapter 23: Dangerous situation
Darian, Zara, and Storm, with calm and focused looks on their faces, stood in a perfect triangle formation. Each of them already had their weapons drawn, ready to clash with any beast that dared to make a single wrong move against them.In their middle, Ember knelt beside Alden, her hands glowing faintly with white light. Her fingers trembled as she pressed them over his wound, pouring out her healing energy as fast as she could. Sweat ran down her forehead from both fear and exhaustion.Alden’s body was slowly recovering thanks to her help and his own healing ability working together, but it wasn’t fast enough. Ember bit her lower lip, praying silently that he would be able to stand soon. They were already surrounded. The beasts were already here, standing only a few distances away from them. From a quick rough count, there were more than thirty. But this time, it wasn’t just Scor-Eye Wolves. There were Fang Rabbits, black-skinned leopards, different types of wolves, and many other s

Chapter 21: Clashes With The Threats
Hssss! The wolf on Darian’s shoulder kept struggling in fear, scratching and biting wildly as it tried to get free. But it was too late to escape. The beast now realized it had made a terrible mistake of jumping onto a madman it shouldn’t have even dared to recklessly approach.Darian’s fingers pushed deeper into the creature’s eye socket, forcing their way in as he tried to crush its brain through sheer force.“Damn beast! Make it up to me for your miserable mistake,” he growled through gritted teeth. The pain tearing through his shoulder was unbearable, yet his face remained cold, refusing to show a trace of weakness.Blood rushed down his arm, bathing his body to turn red, but he didn’t stop. The creature let out a final, ear-piercing cry before going still.A few seconds later, its lifeless body collapsed to the ground.Darian exhaled slowly, sweat sliding down the side of his face as he tried to calm his pounding heartbeat. He was lucky, if not for his experience in handling such
Chapter 20: Trapped
Inside the dark forest, the scary sound of beasts echoed from all directions. Soon, the group was surrounded by dangerous scor-eye wolves circling around them, ready to tear them apart for trespassing into their territory. "Holy crab!" Ember cursed inwardly, but she refused to allow any fear to overtake her heart, knowing fully well that it wasn't going to help matters. Each one of them had already drawn out their weapons, their eyes fixed on the six beasts around them, trying to intimidate them with their numbers. Darian held out his two short swords. "Don't be scared of their numbers," he said directly to Alden and Ember, trying to ease any worries in their hearts. "They are just Level 1 F-rank beasts, so do not fall for their tricks or get trapped among them and also try to finish them off quickly with each of your attacks," he declared, staring at the beasts with a fierce glare. Zara, the quiet one, did nothing but extend her spiked steel whip. She wanted nothing more than t
