In a forest lit by the moon, a girl stood, weaving golden threads around her. But something else caught her eye. Yes, the threads were interesting, but it was the boy standing a distance away who truly drew her attention. The odd part was that even from far away, she could see his striking blue eyes—like sapphires. Their gazes locked together as if they were magnets, and neither of them moved closer. It felt like they were both frozen in place. She wanted to walk over to him, but just as she made a move, she was suddenly awakened.
"Lyrra! Wake up!" She opened her eyes to find her coworker and best friend, Emily, looking angry. Emily, who was 5'4" with wavy dark brown hair and hazel eyes, had a classic and elegant presence that radiated confidence. She was quite attractive. With her arms crossed and a narrowed gaze, she stood in front of Lyrra's desk. After a sigh, she said, "You’re sleeping on the job again." Lyrra quickly gathered herself, using her hands to smooth her curly hair and adjust her clothes. She mumbled an apology, but Emily wasn’t interested in hearing it. "How can you sleep on the job again? What if it had been me who walked in? What if it was our boss? You could get fired!" "I know, I’m sorry! It won’t happen again," Lyrra said, putting her hands together in a pleading gesture and making a cute face. Emily frowned in response, clearly unimpressed. "If you're trying to be cute, please stop; it's not working," Emily said, rolling her eyes. she placed a folder on her desk with the name 'Michael Johnson' on it. "Here’s your next client," she said as Lyrra picked it up and looked it over. "Isn't he the same guy who has been coming here for the last three years?" Lyrra asked. "Yeah, I think he's really struggling with his divorce, so we thought a new therapist might help. Let's see if there are any changes," Emily replied. Lyrra nodded, understanding her role. As a therapist, she had been working at the clinic for years and had never grown tired of her job; in fact, she enjoyed it. "When is he coming?" she inquired. "Right now," Emily said with a sheepish grin. "What?! Like, right now?" Lyrra asked, surprised. "Yes, he’s actually waiting just outside your office," Emily said as she moved toward the door. "I'll call him in," Emily replied, blowing a kiss as she left. Lyrra sighed; she loved her job, but at that moment, she felt a bit worn out and still needed to sort out a strange dream that kept bothering her. A knock sounded on the door, and she called out, "Come in." A man in his early 40s entered. She put on her professional smile and stood up. "Mr. Johnson, it's nice to see you," she said, offering him a seat before taking one across from him. With his file, a book, and a pen in hand. he responded, "I know you guys must be tired of seeing me, right?" He spoke softly, his head down. Lyrra looked at him with compassion and responded. "That's not true; we’re always here to help in any way we can. So, shall we get started? Are you ready?" He nodded in agreement. "Okay then." They began their work, and a few hours later, they finished the session. "Alright, Mr. Johnson, our next meeting will be next Thursday at the same time, okay?" "Yeah, sure." They both stood up, and she guided him out. Afterward, she returned to her desk and sat down. There was a knock at the door, and she invited the person in. Emily walked in and took a seat. "So, how did it go?" Emily asked. "Well, he is really struggling. He must have loved his wife a lot," Lyrra replied. "Yeah, I could sense that when I talked to him." "But I’m going to do everything I can to help him. I’m feeling tired and hungry," she said as she stretched. "Good thing it's lunchtime! Let’s go to the restaurant down the street; it’s just a ten-minute walk from here. I’ve heard their food is really good." "Sure, I could definitely use a good meal." Emily smiled and shook her head. They both got up and headed to the restaurant. Lyrra arrived home around 7 p.m. Feeling too exhausted to cook dinner, she headed straight to her room to prepare for bed. Once she was ready, she climbed under the covers and picked up her phone to check her messages. Just then, she noticed an incoming call from her mom. She sighed tiredly before answering. "Yes, Mom?" a woman's voice came from the other end of the line. "Why do you sound like you don't want to talk to me?" "Well, I just got back from work, and I'm really tired and ready to sleep." "Still, I'm your mom; you should never be too tired to talk to me." "Mom, just tell me why you called." she was becoming irritated "Oh, right! I wanted to remind you about your cousin's wedding in two weeks on Monday. I hope you haven't forgotten." "I haven't forgotten. You sent me messages and even an email about it," she rolled her eyes. "Good to hear. Whatever you have planned that day, drop it and come. You have to be there—no exceptions, no excuses. Who knows, maybe you'll find a boyfriend, which you really need since you've been single your whole life!" Lyrra sighed; she didn’t have time to argue with her mom right now. "Okay, if that's all, I'm ending the call. Bye." "Wait, don't..." But the call disconnected before her mom could finish. Lyrra silenced her phone and placed it on the lamp next to her bed. "Boyfriend? please, and Single my whole life? I think I dated once. Whatever, time to dream about that mysterious man," she thought as she drifted off to sleep.Latest Chapter
Chapter Twenty-Two
"Hey, she still isn't talking to you," Kael said as he walked over to Eryn, who was sitting on a bench in the backyard. Eryn let out a sigh and responded, "No, I have tried to apologize to her, but she won’t even listen to me." "What you said was really terrible, so you can’t blame her," Kael pointed out. He looked at Eryn and added, "I know she can be annoying sometimes—I’ve dealt with that for a long time—but she’s actually really nice. I’m not saying you have to like her back or anything, but you could be friends with her. If you tell her you just want to be friends, she’ll respect that." "Alright, I’ll try talking to her again," Eryn replied. "Okay, that was the nicest thing I’ve ever said about her! I have goosebumps; I’m never doing that again," Kael joked, making Eryn laugh. After their training session that evening, everyone gathered in the living room looking tired. "I’m so proud of you all! You’re doing great with your training and deserve these gifts," Terrakaiya said
Chapter Twenty-One
The next day, everyone gathered in the backyard, waiting for Terrakaiya to give them instructions. "Okay, everyone, I’ve come up with a plan for our training. I think you all should work in pairs, just like last night. Lyrra, you helped Kael with his breathing, and it really worked! So, I believe that helping each other could be beneficial. Plus, it will improve teamwork," Terrakaiya explained. "That sounds good, but how did you know what Kael was doing?" Lyrra asked suspiciously. "Of course I know! I have a protective shield around the house and also a to keep watching for danger. You guys looked so cute together!" Terrakaiya said excitedly, making Lyrra and Kael exchange awkward glances. "If you can see everything around the house, then did you hear what I said last night?" Eryn questioned. "Oh yeah, I did," Terrakaiya replied. "Then why did you ask me what I did?" Eryn pressed on. "I wanted you to know what you did was wrong," Terrakaiya answered. "That's creepy, you knowin
Chapter Twenty
Eryn and Aria were the only two people in the living room, and Eryn couldn't figure out why everyone else had left him alone with Aria. She was currently staring at him intensely, which eventually made him feel irritated "Can you stop looking at me?" Eryn said, feeling annoyed. "But I can't help it! There's just something about you," Aria replied cheerfully, causing Eryn to groan. "Could you at least do it from a distance? You're sitting way too close," he said, noticing how near she was. Aria seemed almost attached to his side, leaving barely any space between them, as if trying to respect his personal space—even though it didn’t really work. "Oh, I'll move if you talk to me nicely," Aria responded. Eryn sighed in frustration. "Seriously, what do you want?" he finally asked. "I'm glad you asked!" Aria said excitedly before continuing, "Have you ever been in a relationship?" "No," Eryn answered shortly. "Okay, are you in one now?" she questioned. "No," Eryn replied again. "D

That evening, everyone came back to Aria's house. "How was work today?" Eryn asked Lyrra. "It was alright, but my boss nagged me a lot. If I take another day off, I might get fired. I'm so stressed," Lyrra said, complaining. "What about me? You didn't ask how my day was," Aria said to Eryn with a pout. "Why should I?" Eryn replied. "Why do you hate me?" Aria asked, pretending to be hurt. "I don't," Eryn answered. "Then why do you stay away from me?" "I don't know what you're talking about," Eryn said. Just then, Terrakaiya showed up. "Oh my goodness, Terra! You scared me!" Aria exclaimed, putting her hand on her chest. "I have something important to tell you all," Terra said seriously, making everyone pay attention. "What's wrong?" Kael asked. "Malakai's minions are on the move. They're bothering innocent people and pulling them into this mess, which is not good," Terra explained. "Oh! My friend at work mentioned that our clients have been acting weird lately like they’re

Lyrra hurried into her office, trying her best to avoid running into her boss. She didn’t want to get questioned or grilled by him which was why she was in a hurry, she successfully entered into her office and then sat down in her chair behind the desk. Just as she was about to relax, the office door swung open. Lyrra tensed up but breathed a sigh of relief when she saw it was Emily. "Well, well, well! Look who it is—the M.I.A therapist! Where have you been? Do you know how many times our boss has come to me asking about you? I had to come up with excuses and lies, and let me tell you, it was exhausting!" Emily said angrily. "I know, and I'm really sorry. But I'm here now, okay? Please don’t be mad," Lyrra pleaded. Emily sighed. "Lyrra, is something bothering you? I’m worried about you. If something’s wrong, please tell me." "Don't worry; I'm fine. If I have a problem, I'll let you know," Lyrra replied. "Alright then. You need to go see our boss," Emily insisted. "Why?" Lyrra as

The group entered the living room, feeling exhausted. They plopped down on the couch. "My whole body hurts," Aria said. "You guys hardly did anything. Why are you so tired?" Terrakaiya asked. "What do you mean? I had to struggle to open a portal, which didn't work, by the way. Do you know how hard that is?" Aria replied. "So?" "So? Mine was way harder than theirs!" Aria pointed at the others and continued, "And why did I have to start using my powers while everyone else just sat there? Lyrra barely did anything!" "What! I did something!" Lyrra protested. "What?" Aria shot back. "I, um... tried to read Terra's mind." "And that's difficult?" Aria questioned. "Well, yeah! It felt like she doesn't have feelings or a brain or something, which is impossible! How is it my fault I got an easy power?" Lyrra explained. Aria rolled her eyes as the others watched their argument until Kael finally spoke up. "Anyway, can I leave? I have work stuff to do." "Yeah, me too," both
