Flashes of the memory of the deadly night encounter Lucas had kept on reminiscing inside his head. It seemed like he was having a terrible nightmare.
Suddenly, his eyes opened widely. He gasped instantly. “He is awake! Doctor! He is awake!” The nurse who was watching over him ran out of the ward to get the Doctor. Lucas couldn’t feel many parts of his body, especially his legs. An oxygen mask was placed over his mouth and nose. He tried to say something, but it was as if he had lost his voice just like he lost his wife and everything he had built for over five years to the fire. The Doctor walked in not long after alongside the nurse. They looked so shocked at how fast he regained consciousness. “This is a miracle, Lucas! I already told your brother that I wasn’t sure you would make it!” “My brother?” Lucas coughed loudly, and the Doctor quickly removed the mask from his face. “Take it easy, Lucas! You will be fine. I am Doctor Arnold. You were attacked by unidentified men.” The Doctor checked his vitals and made some quick observations. “Your body sustained severe injuries, but I am shocked that you are awake in less than three days!” The Doctor’s eyes widened in disbelief, and he turned to the nurse as if she was meant to give him an explanation. “Three days?” Lucas managed to speak, but his feeble voice was barely above a whisper. “Yes, you were brought in here two nights ago by your brother.” “My brother?” Lucas was still confused about what the Doctor said. The last time he remembered, he grew up in an orphanage, and the only thing he had about his identity was a necklace that had his name inscribed on it. He knew that he usually struggled with scary dreams where he saw himself in a car, and the last thing he could remember was surviving a fatal crash. But there was no real explanation for what he witnessed. “Doctor? I don’t have a brother. I am an orphan.” Lucas said with so much certainty, but the Doctor shook his head at once. “Maybe you have a concussion, Lucas. But I am sure you will feel better soon. Don’t worry, your brother will be here. He said…” Doctor Arnold was interrupted by the footsteps of a man walking into the ward. “Oh! Here he is! Mr. Foden? you are right on time!” The Doctor gave way for the man who walked toward Lucas at once, causing him to gasp in shock. “Who are you?!” Lucas froze the moment he saw a man who looked exactly like him. It was as if there was no difference between the two of them. He was clad in a very expensive suit, and it was obvious from his wristwatch that he was very wealthy. A different version of Lucas. “Brother?! You are awake! I thought I was going to lose you! I was so glad when I saw your picture on the news about the fire incident!” The man almost sounded like Lucas, a bright smile appeared on his face. Lucas was forced to blink severely just in case he was dreaming. But the man who looked exactly like him was still standing there, staring at him with his smile intact. “My name is Logan. I am your twin brother.” The man finally said something, but his explanation was not enough to get rid of the confusion that engulfed Lucas. “I know you have a lot of questions to ask, but I need you to recover fully. I am so glad that you are alive! I have been searching for you for over two decades!” Logan was so elated that he was finally reuniting with his twin brother, but Lucas still looked oblivious to what he was saying. “I am sorry. But I can’t remember anything.” Lucas said after struggling to see if he could remember something. “Don’t worry, brother. I am sure you will soon, I just need you to recover fully.” Logan was a bit disappointed that it wasn’t the reunion he was expecting, but he was glad that his search was finally over. Lucas didn’t think that he was ready to wait to hear the full story about his true identity. He looked at his legs, and when he was able to figure out what was wrong with him, he adjusted his bones at once. A loud crack accompanied his grunt, but he was already on his feet before the Doctor could get to him. “What are you doing, Lucas?! You need to stay here so that we can monitor you!” “I am fine, Doctor. I can take care of myself.” Lucas turned to face Logan who was shocked at how he was able to get himself to walk in less than a minute. “Take me out of here. I need to hear everything.” Logan didn’t hesitate to do what his brother wanted. He led him out of the hospital while both the nurse and Doctor watched with astonishment, wondering the kind of man Lucas was. There were twelve cars lined up in front of the hospital, each had unique designs, and could only be afforded by the wealthiest people in the City. Two guards each stood beside each of the cars, and they bowed as soon as they saw Logan walking out of the hospital alongside his twin brother. “Who has all these cars?” Lucas marveled at the sight of different cars before him. He had not seen many of them before. “These cars?” Logan chuckled softly. “These are just the least cars parked in our garage. Wait till we get home, then you will discover how rich we are.” Lucas and his brother got into one of the cars, and they drove out of the premises at once. Everyone who saw the fleet of cars speeding in one particular direction wondered who they were. Even the President of Solana didn’t have that amount of convoy. Finally, they arrived at Rose Haven, the biggest estate in the entire country. The avenue was bordered by beautiful gardens, and the main mansion was so big and magnificent that Lucas felt like he was in a palace. They were welcomed by numerous servants as soon as they got into the mansion. But all Lucas was concerned about was his true identity. “How did we get separated from each other?” He asked Logan as soon as they were seated. “We were on a road trip twenty-two years ago when we were attacked…” Logan began while he paid keen attention. “Our vehicle was attacked and father was killed. By the time we woke up in the hospital, we discovered that you were missing.” “We?” “Mother and Briana our younger sister. They are in Rubbyvile City, they will be so glad to see you.” Everything was finally making sense to Lucas. The constant dreams that kept him awake almost every night suddenly became clearer. “I know everything you have been through, brother. But your life is about to change. As the heir to our family wealth, you have five bank accounts to your name, each worth over ten billion dollars.” “What?!” Lucas was shocked. But Logan wasn’t done. “You own the biggest first-tier company in this City, and there are so many other things that I will reveal to you. We shall rule the world together, brother.” Logan’s words resounded in Lucas’s ears, and he nodded in satisfaction. It was time to have his revenge, and he was going to serve it cold.Latest Chapter
The Messengers
The four men were marveled that their revered leader didn’t do anything even after he was slapped very hard by Scarlett across his face. He staggered backward, rubbing his left hand on his cheek without saying a word. Scarlett was ready to hit him again. “What are you doing here?!” She was furious, fuming in an intense rage. Lucas turned to his mother and gave her the kind of look that was eager for an explanation. The leader of the group was rubbing his cheek, and as some point, he looked at his companions who were expecting him to react. “We are here to see the Divine Healer, Scarlett. We were told that he lives here now.” Lucas stepped forward. “Who are you?” He was still curious, and since his mother was not prepared to say the reason why she hit the man, he didn’t bother to ask. “My name is Seth, Divine Healer, and these are my companions. We are the messengers of the Emperor of Narmia. We travelled all the way from the East to see you.” From what the leader of th

Logan was beginning to pay attention to his brother, but each time he turned to his wife, she shook her head to dismiss Lucas’s claim. “My wife is not a child, Lucas. I am sure you must be mistaken.”“No, I am not, Logan. She is pregnant and needs all the attention she can get. I am guessing this is your first son.” Iris laughed hysterically, and Logan had to force himself not to join her. “First, you said I was pregnant, and now you already know the gender of the child you claim is in my womb.” “Hmm-mm.” Lucas’ confidence was unwavering, and to help resolve the issue, Briana decided to step in.“I have a pregnancy test kit!” She announced, avoiding her mother’s eyes.Scarlett furrowed her brows. “What do you need that for?!” She asked, but Briana was already on her way out of the living room. She returned as soon as she could and handed the kit over to Iris. “I think this will tell us the truth, Iris.”Iris scoffed. “There is no way I am doing any stupid test! In the midst of everything that had been going on, no one considered what Lucas had to say.His silence was considered a consent to everything that Vance said, but that wasn’t the case. “Don’t I have a say in this, Mr. Phoenix?” He finally broke his silence, expression a little displeasure while he stared with a smirk.Vance took a deep breath. “I know how this sounds, Lucas Foden. But this is the only thing that will make me happy. Marry my daughters, and you will give me profound peace.”“All of them?” Lucas inquired, and the old man nodded. “Yes, all of them.” Lucas scoffed. “I don’t think I can handle your three daughters all together, Mr. Phoenix.” He looked at Lara and her sisters, and because they were still upset, they rolled their eyes at him one after the other. “I have some other things to do, Mr. Phoenix. We are done here since the purpose of my coming has been fulfilled.”The Divine Healer was ready to leave, but the old man was still desperate. “Please, Lu
Marry Them
Lucas forgot that he was in a hurry to leave. “You knew my father?” He asked, and Vance nodded with a smile. “We were best of friends, Lucas. Your brother didn’t tell you?” Lucas shook his head, unable to fight the urge to hear more from the old men.Vance turned to Lola. “Why didn’t you tell me Lucas Foden was the Divine Healer?” He didn’t look pleased with his daughters, and none of them had any excuse for their omission.”"We are sorry, Father.” Lara apologized on behalf of his sisters, but their father wasn’t bothered anymore. “I am sorry for what happened to you, Lucas,” Vance had an emotional look in his eyes, staring with wide eyes. “That was a long time ago, Mr. Phoenix.” Lucas forced a smile, not certain of which of his ordeals the old man was speaking of. Just then, the old man made a decision that was about to change the fate of his three daughters. He cleared his throat, and when it seemed like he was not going to be able to get rid of the clog that gripped h
Blind No More
Vance gasped as soon as he heard those words that resonated with echoes of hope and recovery in his ears.“The Divine Healer is here?!”His eyelids flickered, but his blinded eyes were not going to see Lucas. “Are you sure you brought him, Lola? I heard he was killed in a fire.” “He is standing right here in front of you, Father,” Lara assured, turning to Lucas with an assuring smile. Vance nodded, and then he started gripping, trying to sit up.The two stewards behind him quickly grabbed him and helped him up.“Divine Healer? If you are truly here, please save me!” His voice was laced with pangs of pain, but he still tried as much as he could to hold onto the hope that his daughters had given to him. Lucas stepped closer to the old man, still making his observations while everyone turned their attention to him. “Your Brain, Mr. Phoenix.” “What about his brain?” Lola asked the same question that her father would have asked if it had been possible for him to get rid of th

Logan had gone to remind Lucas about his promise to the Phoenix sisters. He knocked on the door twice, and then he pulled the handle. “Going somewhere?” He inquired, seeing that Lucas was fully dressed that early morning.“I made a promise to Lara and her sisters, Logan. I don’t intend to go back on my words.” Lucas was already on his way out of the large bedroom, and Logan joined him at once. On their way striding along the hallway, Lucas looked at the portraits of his father hanging in different spots on the walls.A heavy sigh left him, but he was distracted by the appearance of his sister.Briana was curious. “Where are you going so early, Lucas?” She was worried that he was leaving them, especially as she saw the brown portable box he was carrying. Lucas chuckled softly, amused by the look on her face. “Cheer up, Briana. I am not leaving.”“So where are you going?” Briana returned her gaze to Lucas since Logan didn’t look like he was going to answer her question.“So
