Chapter 6: Cooperation & Reversal

It is a hot sunny day. The sun was overhead like a forty-degree fireplace sending heat to the ground below. Yet Jessica was standing under that weather waiting for the manager of Forest Group, Jascop.

The security guards kept her out of the lobby, and they told her it was a new rule that the vice president had set up.

Jessica raised her hand to wipe the sweat, and the sun's heat scorched her skin. Just when Jessica thought she couldn't wait any longer, a voice suddenly sounded behind her.

"Jessica, it's you. What are you doing here?" A sharp female voice sounded.

Jessica turned her head and saw a sexy girl with a fiery body walking towards her. She tossed her hair, curly blond hair swaying with every step she took. She puffed out her chest, haughtily walking over to Jessica.

"What a coincidence, Jessica."

Seeing her approaching, Jessica felt disgusted. It's Moona, who always compete with her in many aspects: outlook, education, boyfriend, etc., also came here today for the cooperation with Forest Group?

Jessica's hand that was holding the document on her stomach subconsciously clenched, and she couldn't lose this opportunity.

Moona had a bit of resentment when Jessica didn't reply her. She stroked her hair again, perfume following it around Jessica's nose. A solid and unpleasant scent.

"You must have been standing here for a long time. How pitiful, your skin looked so red that it was scorched by the sun. Are you going to negotiate in such an outlook?"

Moona and Jessica's appearance at that time was different. But Jessica didn't care about that.

"Beauty is only the surface while one's inner quality matters more." She replied.

This sentence touched the innermost soul of Moona because she was always jealous of Jessica's beauty and education. Except for her husband, everything about Jessica she wanted. And her husband seems to be her only weakness, so every time they meet, Moona uses it to make fun of her.

"You'd better go back home. Today's contract is mine, and you can't win it. And let me send my regards to your husband. Is he still at home and hanging around in the kitchen these days? Is he still so useless and leaves his wife standing in the hot sun to earn money to support him? It's ridiculous, be wise in choosing a man because it will determine your life."

Moona spoke nonstop. But undeniably, her words were not wrong and had extremely significant damage. Just as Jessica opened her mouth, about to reply to something, a warm male voice suddenly came behind her.

"Honey."

Both Jessica and Moona looked in that direction. But before she had time to react, Moona rushed towards the other man and pressed her body to his muscular chest, then cooed:

"I've been waiting you for so long."

Jessica recognized that man, and he was the manager of Forest Group. She finally understood something and she couldn't help but smile mockingly.

Jascop, the group's manager, kissed Moona's hair lightly, then he looked at Jessica. His gaze slid from top to bottom of hers, his eyes as if assessing an item that disgusted Jessica. But there was nothing she could do.

After looking at Jessica, Jascop's eyes became satisfied. He gently pushed Moona away and walked towards Jessica. Then said to Jessica with gentle voices:

"What a pretty lady. Are you from Lockes to seek for cooperation? I am exactly the one responsible for it and we can have a talk in my office." 

He attempted to grab Jessica's hand as he spoke those words with indecent intensions. 

Jessica stepped back to avoid it, refusing him," stop your disgusting actions, shame on you." 

Her sharp words obviously hurt him that he claimed," you will never get the cooperation with Forest while Moona will."

He put his arm around Moona's waist again and teased her. Moona also stared at Jessica proudly.

Feeling depressed, she decide to give it up since there seemed no chance for her anymore. She won't sell her body even if she is expelled from the family.

She turned back and intended to leave without hesitation. Moona's face was full of excitement as if it was saying that she won Jessica finally.

"Go back home Jessica, just go back home to live with your jerk husband." She shouted loudly, attacting others' attention.

But quickly the secretary of Isabel broke her illusions. She had informed Isabel half an hour ago but Isabel wanted Jessica to wait longer. At this moment, Isabel finally invited Jessica to her office.

"Mrs Jessica, President Isabel invite you to her office, please follow me." She said.

Jessica was very surprised while Monna and Jascop felt annoyed. Moona cried to pleade Jascop to struggle it for her but she was coldly refused. Jascop loosened her hands and left while Jessica got upstairs.
