But even after Noelle refused at first, she was placed in the 10th position. Anything lower would be disgraceful to the Astra family and her beauty.

The line was for taking the gene evolution serum from the hall, but they would absorb the serum all at once; otherwise, it would take a tremendous amount of time if they went through the awakening process one by one.

There were around 10,000 young people present here today.

It took three hours to distribute the gene evolution serum to everyone.

All over the world, this same gene evolution serum would be provided to everyone, even to the heirs of the true ruler-class families weren't exception. The Federation controlled the serum entirely. No one had any influences over the Federation.

Aren finally got his serum after a long wait. It was a red vial of serum. He had heard that the serum was created by combining the blood essence of various powerful monsters out there.

After distributing the serum, the same cold voice came again.

"Now, sit down there cross-legged. After that, slowly absorb the serum in your hand. It will take 5–10 minutes to start the effect. After 10 minutes, go to that machine over there and touch that crystal ball. It will tell you if you have awakened or not."

Everyone gulped down the red serum entirely and closed their eyes.

Aren felt a hot sensation going through his body. It was circulating through all his blood vessels, as if searching for something.

But after three minutes, the sensation vanished from his body. Aren had a bad premonition that he had probably failed to awaken because the time was too short.

But he clung to his last thread of hope and wanted to know what that machine would say about him.

He didn't open his eyes. He was waiting for others to awaken first. Soon, he heard the whispers of people around him.

The time was probably over.

One by one, those young people started to stand up according to the position they received the serum before.

The first was a boy. He was wearing a rich outfit. He was from the main city and probably from a powerful family there. He had a confident look on his face.

"Reymond Windsor. He is the grandson of King Eric Windsor. Let's see what he got. I think he will awaken a bloodline like his grandfather or maybe an element like his father."

Reymond's father was young and not very famous, but his grandfather was a top-notch figure of the main city.

A Tier 4 bloodline warrior. Tier 4 were called country-destruction-level power forces. His father was a Tier 2; he was also not a person to be taken lightly. Besides, there were other family members in the Windsor family who were Tier 3.

There were five known tiers in the world:

Tier 1 = Superhuman with 10 tonnes of power

Tier 2 = Town-destruction-level power

Tier 3 = City-destruction-level power

Tier 4 = Country-destruction-level power

Tier 5 = Continent-destruction-level power

These powerhouses were also called:

Emperor

The highest power in a city was an emperor. They could destroy a continent with a single punch or spell.

Fortress City 6 had the emperor belonging to the Astra family, Noelle's ancestor. That was why she was so respected out here.

Reymond went to the transparent crystal and placed both his hands on it.

The crystal lit up, and five seconds later, some information appeared on the screen.

Reymond looked at everyone proudly and glanced at Noelle to see her reaction.

But she was not even looking at him. Reymond couldn't help but sigh.

"As cold as ever. Maybe if she failed to awaken, I'll have a chance."

On the other hand, Noelle went into full panic mode. If she couldn't awaken after someone had awakened a high-level one, that would be a shame on the Astra family. Maybe her older sister would make her wash clothes or something.

Slowly, one by one, they went through the process. From the first ten, nine had already gone, and eight of them had awakened bloodlines or elements; one had failed. That young man fell unconscious instantly.

It was now Noelle's turn.

She started walking elegantly.

After arriving in front of the machine, her hands started trembling a little.

"Please be something. Please."

She was praying with all her might and placed her hand on the crystal.

Again, the crystal lit up brightly.

Ten seconds later, her information appeared on the screen. She was happy that it didn't say "Failed"; there was actually something written.

Noelle almost jumped up. She could hardly control her excitement. She wanted to scream loudly, but that would be embarrassing.

So she kept her cold look and started walking toward her car.

The car left the area, and only then did the crowd come to their senses.

"What was that? A legendary bloodline? When was the last time a legendary bloodline appeared on Earth? 200–300 years ago? The Astra family has given birth to a real Phoenix. Another emperor is going to appear."

Everyone had only this on their minds.

Aren sighed.

She was an angel before, but from today onward, she would become a goddess.

The person behind Noelle was an extremely handsome young man. When everyone was happy for Noelle, he was not happy at all. Actually, there wasn't any emotion on Aren's handsome face.

He slowly walked to the crystal and placed his hand on it.

"What a cold guy. Is he angry because he couldn't awaken something as good as Noelle Astra?" Aren muttered.

After Ryle, five people failed in a row. Then five people awakened basic elemental affinities. One of them even awakened a top-ranked affinity.

Slowly, the day was almost over. Most of the people from the slums had failed, which was why it didn't take long to assess them.

"Looks like it is my turn."

Aren slowly walked toward the machine and placed his hands on the crystal.

It didn't even take a second before his information appeared on the screen.

"Failed."

Aren had a suspicion, but it still hurt. He felt a sharp pain in his chest. He had been waiting with a thin thread of hope until now, but that was crushed. His dream of giving his family a comfortable life was gone. He would have to go to work with his father from tomorrow. A drop of tears came from his eyes.

"Boy, clear the stage. You are wasting other people's time," the cold voice sounded from afar.

Aren came to his senses and stepped away from the machine.

He felt his legs weren't moving. They felt immensely heavy for some reason.

"Move, damn it. Why are you so sad? It's not like you had a good life to begin with. You were just put in your place by nature just now. That's all."

He came out of the awakening hall.

But then he heard a sound in his mind.

[Blood essence has gained.]

[System is activating]

[1%,2%,3%...99%,100%]

[The Creation System is activated. Host can see his stats now.]

"What was that? Who is messing with my mind? Have I gone crazy from the shock?" Aren was confused.

"What did it say? Creation System? I can see my stats?"

As soon as he muttered the word "stats," a panel appeared in front of his eyes.
