Shaken by the unexpected aggression from Michael, Charles took a moment to compose himself before walking outside. The cold breeze outside the prison facility offered a difference to the heated encounter Charles had just experienced.

Still in shock, he tried to compose himself, his mind replaying the unexpected aggression from Michael. Fumbling for his phone, Charles dialed Norah’s number, needing the reassurance of her voice.

“Norah, are you there yet?” Charles asked anxiously as he tried to steady his breathing.

Norah’s voice, a calming presence through the phone, responded, “No, Charles, there was some unexpected traffic on the street. I can’t quite tell what happened, but we’re a bit delayed.”

Concern draw deeper lines on Charles’s face. “Is everything okay, Norah? Are you safe?” he inquired, his worry visible.

Norah reassured him, “Yes, Charles, we’re fine. Just a minor delay. Don’t worry too much.”
