CHAPTER 6: IMPULSE

Marko barely managed to evade the twintail's deadly tails.

He was very surprised it could keep up with his insane speed and in a more deadly way. One of the Terror's sharp tail swung at his face, Marko barely had a second to block it with his right arm leaving a large cut down his arm.

Blood spewed down on the ground.

"Ouch!!"

BHAM!!

Marko choked out as he recieved a strong jab to his chin, next the terror threw both it's tails at him. Marko managed to avoid the first but the second came a bit too fast for him to react.

SWISH!!

Marko's right hand split down in half and met with the hard ground, a stream of blood followed. The terror chuckled as it licked it's lips pleased by its work.

For someone who had just lost his hand Marko did not take it easy.

"Waaaahhhhhh!!"

He cried out.

The terror dove down for another sweeping kick.

Marko felt himself before a great wall yet again, he could only resort to one measure.

"System?"

[HEALING FACTOR HAS BEEN APPLIED]

[ARM IS BEINGG REGROWN]

[INFO FROM THE FIRSY FIGHT AND THE CURRENT FIGHT HAS BEEN ACCUMULATED TO BATYTLE DATA]

Marko was desperate to try anything at the moment. He did not have a plan or anything similar only the system and he was determined to use it till the end.

"Yes, sync with battle data!"

A rush of information swirled in his mind making him stagger for only a second, what happened next surprised him.

His right arm regrew in an instant as he used a insane level of acrobatics to deliver multiple power blows on the terror. With each bursting party's of it's body from the shockwave.

"Yes I can see it!" He told himself as he closed the space between him and TWINTAIL in a second. "The information of the dark leopards speed and agility, I can perfectly imitate it."

Ted who stayed on the sideline with the rest of the core five could not tell which was more insane, the fact that the fatherless boy he used to bully was now saving him. Or the fact that he was now a superpowered badass. He gulped down unable to comprehend it.

The level 4 terror screeched inhumanely and cut through the air for Marko throwing it's claws at his face with the intent to kill

SLASH!!

Blood dripped down Marko's hair but he did not stop because of that. Instead he advanced with a spinning kick to it's head, the terror predicted this and proceeded to slice off Marko's leg with it's tail.

BOOM!!

Marko's kick connected with the Terror's face at a much faster speed sending it exploding through the air and sending a dozens houses to rubble in the way. The ground shook violently from the force exerted.

"I'm strong!"

"I'm fast!"

"I can heal!"

"With everything I have I will save everyone here!"

Marko's hair danced in waves pulsing with every, his eyes beaming red and his body exuding a strong pressure.

The terror raised it's head from the rubble and chuckled.

Marko's red eyes sparked even brighter. "Don't you feel pain!"

The terror shook it's body and dashed forward like a blur for Marko.

"It's faster!" Marko gulped down as he was forced on the defensive.

The level 4 terror vanished from his line of sight and appeared behind him, it slashed him down his back causing him to hiss out in pain. Marko could feel the difference in power and experience, he had to make up for that somehow.

"System? How do I increase my power?" He screamed as he felt another slash on his neck luckily not deep enough to kill him but enough to make him stagger.

"You said my strength was endless right? Then give me a boost!"

[WOULD YOU LIKE TO USE IMPULSE?]

BHAM!!

"Accck!!" Marko coughed out blood and the terror slashed the back of his knee. "What's impulse?"

[THE INTEGRAL OF FORCE OVER TIME]

[THE TOTAL IMPULSE FROM THE IMPACT WILL DEPEND ON THE KINETIC ENERGY OF THE PROJECTILE]

"Speak English!!" Marko screamed as he was being brought down to his knees by a series of unstoppable blows.

["I WILL NOW DECODE IT IN IDIOT LEVEL"]

"Hey, who are you calling an idiot?" He boomed.

["IMPULSE IS THE BUILD UP OF ENERGY OVER A CERTAIN TIME"]

["FROM THE BEGINNING OF YOUR BATTLE TILL NOW YOU HAVE BEEN GATHERING A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF POTENTIAL ENERGY IN YOUR MUSCLES"]

["ON ACTIVATION OF IMPULSE ALL OF THE POTENTIAL ENERGY WILL BE UNLEASHED"]

Marko did not need much of the explanation he already got the main gist. "Activate impulse!"

[YOU HAVE ACTIVATED IMPULSE]

[YOUR POTENTIAL FOR INFINITE STRENGTH HAS RISEN]

The terror attempt to hit Marko only to pass through thin air.

A moment later one of it's arms exploded into a fountain of blood.

"What just happened?" Ted asked in shock.

Even the gifted who had falcon wings gasped, since she had enhanced vision she was able to see what had happened. "It happened so fast, I could barely keep up. That boy Marko is on another level entirely."

The terror screeched in rage.

Marko appeared behind it with his hair dancing in the air as it generated red lightning. "Shut it!" Marko slapped the Terror's face causing a portion of it to explode off it's body."

The terror turned at him and swung it's sharp tails at Marko's head without having the slight feeling of fear in it's eyes. Marko wanted to sympathize with it's inability to feel pain or fear or regret but instantly remembered what it was.

A MONSTER.

Marko's fist pumped dozens of veins as he drove it into the terrors skull. There was a large shockwave that shot into the air and a huge explosion. The terror instantly disintegrated into black dust.

Marko took deep breathing in succession.

"Haa, haa!"

"I, I did it!"

[SENSING THREAT HAS BEEN AVERTED; USE OF FIRST EYE HAS BEEN CANCELLED]

[TWIN TAIL DATA HAS BEEN INSTALLED INTO BATTLE DATA]

[IMPULSE HAS BEEN DEACTIVATED]

[ALL INJURIES ARE BEING HEALED]

Marko felt his hands drop to his side totally sapped of any form of strength they once carried. His hair fell over his face and his eye weakened.

"Is this what it means to be a hero? I saved everyone but I also sort of blew up the village!"

"Is this the repercussion of carrying this great power?"

[PRICE FOR USING THE FIRST EYE]

[DATA IS ACCUMULATING PRICE FOR THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF POWER USED]

[DATA COLLECTION COMPLETE]

[2 YEARS, 3 MONTHS, 4 DAYS AND 9 HOURS HAVE BEEN DEDUCTED FROM YOUR LIFESPAN]

Marko's eyes popped from shock.

"What? The price is my life? You should have said something."

["I FAIL TO SEE HOW THAT IS MY PROBLEM!"]

"This is not…!!"

His voice trailed off as he lost all power in his body and fell backwards into the arms of Ted and the rest of the core five.

"You did good Marko!"

"Thanks!"

Ted kept mute.

Marko could barely hear a word but noticed the blur box before him.

[YOUR BODY WILL ENTER SLEEP MODE TO COMPLETE RECOVERY]

[TIME TILL AWAKENING… UNKNOWN]

"Hey Marko, are you okay?"

That was the last thing he heard before he lost all light of the world.
